That's awesome. Building a turbo 6.0 atm aswell in a pick up. Also running the hd2 and 3200 circle d. 75mm vsr. Cant wait to see more videos love learning more and more.
Great video. Please do another showing some good pictures of the exhaust and cold side. I would like to see where you are putting waste gate, upstream o2 sensors, and all. I'm doing same build except on a 4wd. Thank you
Thank you! Been waiting for this one just picked up the same truck and am stock piling the parts to do this build, appreciate all the info.. helps big time.
I thought I knew my LS facts pretty well, but heard you mention Iron Heads and realized I'd never seen any, didn't know they ever existed for the LS. Had to look it up, 99 and 2000 LQ4s had Iron Heads, also something different about the crankshaft flange thickness on those....I'll be damned....Noted!
Never mind I should have waited before I made my condiment I know sometimes the videos don't have an audible confirmation of what the truck makes or vehicle makes on the dyno my bad
Morning Moat. Do you have a graph showing the difference between the Sloppy stage 2 and your new favourite cam N/A? My plan is exactly as per you comment , build then add the Spooly Boi.
Can you close the e85 and 93 gap with water meth? Could you achieve the same result? I care because the e85 station is still an hour from my house. I've watched enough stuff I should know but don't feel confident in my guess. Also where's the MBC?
Perfect, I plan on doing the same with my 2500 Suburban. How difficult is in to run the exhaust all the way back with a log manifold?. Its our family truck so I want to keep it stock looking
I have had really good luck with the Ebay speeddaddy waste gates for years. I use a lot of parts from that specific store. They have a $20 oil feed/return kit that I have had good kuck with as well. It comes with a 77 inch feed line which is helpful. Any ways good luck on the 8f8. Sucks the season is done. ☹
i enjoyed this build, I thought I was impressed by the heads cam #'s. 550 tire on pump crap impressed me more. What intercooler is in the truck? also, what converter would go into this setup and still be ok on the street?
Matt, I got a 2500 6.0 I’m doing some mods on my truck almost the same is this truck but no turbo I change the oil pump I got the stage 2 sloppy cam from jeggs springs and fuel pump. Don’t have bigger injections yet run out money. Do you do tunes on the stock pcm ?
I’ve got a question I’ve searched all over the internet for so hopefully someone can help me. I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado that originally came with a 4.8L in it. I put a 5.3 in when the 4.8l finally gave out. My truck is running good on the 4.8 computer but I don’t drive it a lot or even get it high speeds (max speed 45). Should I get a pcm reflash and where can I get one done at? Or can I just swap a junkyard 5.3L pcm in? Thanks in advance for any help!
Can you get away with a 60e @ ~500RWHP on a 'tire fyer' setup like this? I've got a 1500 4.8 truck I'd love to attempt this on. Swapping to 80e is going to be a large chunk of the budget. I'd like to get the turbo on and running, then crank it up higher after the 80e swap later on.
I ran a 4L60 for years in an 03 that ran 11.30's I rebuilt it twice in probably 6 years. They hold up pretty good if you aren't too rough with them. They are actually pretty cheap to rebuild. Learn to do it yourself
I understand the " Not giving a fuck" attitude with the exhaust especially with Race Car but damn not being able to open the drivers window without having to go to the hospital for a shift in the hyperbaric chamber on O2. Aww fuck I must be getting old.....
this is pretty neat! I wonder a good set up would be to make a reliable tow rig. I have an 01 2500hd. would be neat to make a rig that can tow a camper or a mid sized tractor while passing people :-)
i always tell people its not the power thing, its the latent heat of towing something 8 miles up a hill at 600whp, if you arent doing 125 and wrecking slapping the trailer, the biggest issue is can your trans, engine etc scrub the BTUs generated from this horsepower, its all relative to setup tuning and more
@@SloppyMechanics You're right!! I guess having gigantic coolers would be a start but pulling hills etc, would generate some serious heat. I drive truck, and always keep an eye on egt's and engine temps etc. but the engineers from the factory have a lot r&d into making sure you can pull hills all day everyday in the dead of summer i guess. Thanks for all that you and your friends do! really shines a light on what these engines and trans are capable of!
I have an 03 2500 and I want to Sloppy Turbo like this and tow 6000lbs is that realistic,.should I.have the 300k mile 80e gone through and upgraded first thing before I destroy it?
@@grabasandwich It's definitely hard on the clutch especially with a stock converter. It's not going to pick up much locked. There really isn't a need to lock it in this situation. It's going to make the power it makes. Locking the converter puts a little more power to the rear wheels is all. Some tuners like to lock the converter on the dyno to show the customer a bigger number. Matt is only saying the converter is unlocked to let everyone know he isn't fudging the numbers.
But honestly, Matt just did 919 at 25psi on the gen2 7875, what am I missing here? a 7875 did 560 on 14? Even at 30hp per pound its 50 short, so just the SS2 cam?

You're not wrong. I'm a GM guy, but, I love me a nice Ford truck. I'm a gear head overall. I had a 90 F-150 with a 351 and a 5 speed. 4x4, single cab long bed. Thing was a monster. I miss it to this day. It was a great truck, and owes me nothing.

Good to get back to the super "sloppy" stuff. Looks fun
"why didn't you make 12,000 horsepower???"

ive been showing them since 2012 with my own and i say it every chance i get, some people just need pretty lowered bullshit with 60e's and problems

Do you ever open up the block and open the gap on the rings? All my buddies saying I have to

would like to know about the water meth on this set up
its a cheap hobb switch activated kit, we are gunna do a walk around of this thing and go into detail and more driving, this was just the dyno vid
