Haha I was worried it would be intrusive
@@SloppyMechanics not at all. 10/10 will listen to again.
Now I’ll need to fake insert it from now on

These Snake Eater ads are getting clever.
I remember mikes 6.4 powerstroke back in the day. Super cool truck. This thing looks rad too now!
This truck is awesome and makes awesome power. Great job yet again Matt!
Always a good day when I see my machine work producing power
Marty Brown ftw
You guys did a great job!
The AC delco sensor thing is the same across all the GM engines. I changed a lot of 3800 L67/L36 crank sensors to AC ones.
That's an awesome build, what a great looking truck with that stance and wheel & tire combo. That's got to be a blast to run!
Beautiful truck! Sounds amazing!
Thank you so much for all your info, this truck is cool as a fan. I'm about a week away from firing up my 99rcsb here in nz with its new turbo build.
What a treat, 2 videos!!
Spark plug wires on these are the same way. You can ohm your stock wires and a new set and your stockers will be way better unless they are bad of course
Love this truck man....so right.
That closed loop fueling on the Holley stuff is INCREDIBLE! Maybe I need to really put a lot more effort into the closed loop PID settings on my MS3X, Lol..
This truck is what happens when you go "Fancy Mechanics" on something. Hey Matt, will the Spoolie Boy pickup get this clean?
Watching in Hazleton !
Man those crank sensors. I chased down a phantom crank sensor problem forever. used 5 sensors. 2 AC delco's both were shit right out of the package. And its quite fun returning sensors to the parts store... especially a couple of them at a time, and having to explain to them that they were allll shit right out of the box.
they don't make em like they used too! /boomersloppy
So if I understand correctly, putting the flex fuel sensor on the return side, while convenient, may be susceptible to aeration issues?
Correct
Will it be a restriction on the feed side?
It shouldn't be a restriction
I'm impressed on the 10 bolt. Guess I won't waste the money building a 9 inch.
10 bolt crapola
He’s gotten lucky. They are a ticking time bomb.
I hear the ring and pinion are the weak points
@@peachdaddy Everything between the wheels is the weak point.
Josue Payne when you get a chance google: 10 bolt axle vs Dana60 axle and look at that diameter difference.
Oh lord Jesus it’s a fiuhr! 🔥
Nice truck!!! Nice numbers!!👍🇺🇸
Great video!
Dream truck!
Matt I have a question. I'm putting a 4.8 together with sloppy Elgin stage 2 springs , maybe electric water pump. Trying to keep ac and make room for a gt 45 turbo with 35 ring gap, walbro pump and decapped 80's with a well made aluminum intake manifold with a 102 . I don't plan on anymore than 10-12 # boost It's a pretty loaded 03 blazer extreme. I'm guessing aroung 550 whp with proper tune. I'm going to run terminator max controlling a 4l60e with a 3000 stall. I ,do have a used 4l80e out of an express van, So to get to my question is the walbro 4500 I think it is, with 706 heads and decapped 80lbs injectors. Do you think I have enough fuel supply and how long can I expect to get out of a worn 4l60e and stock rear. I want it to be primarily street hence keeping ac. I think the 4.3 xtreme Blazers are a 265 gear. NOT Sure. I eventually want to go all out and do like an AWD 6.0 twin turbo with the 4l80e. I just loved the old Typhoons and Cyclones. I know you're not an s-10 fan.
Everytime I see a NBS stepside I get a little jealous and I see multiple everyday here in TN. Oh well, at least my RCLB 2500 2wd has a 6L/4L80e/14bolt and extra wheelbase for when I decide it's time for things to get spicy.
So what is the consensus for a good trans to put behind these big power turbo engines? 4l80 and TH seam to be go toos. Is there a 6 speed that can live at these levels for a DD?
What would be best fuel to run 20+ psi, don’t have e85 available around me!
Nice truck!!! I’m so ready to boost my little 4.8
have to respect the dreamkiller specs!
She Thicc, boyeee!! Damn that's a thicc ass truck! 🤣
Love your content as always
I’m ready to see what my 88/103 will do on my 370” now that I have the Bosch 210’s
Are you in Allentown? Lol
Sloppy Mechanics If I was, you would definitely be who I want on it, I built my car because of you, and marks white notchback that ran 7’s. So I am not stopping until I get a solid 7 second pass!!
The ECU correction when the flex took a crap makes me fell a LOT safer. . . less then 2sec and it was corrected. . .. I can live with that!!
It’s tables I build also the closed loop fuel on the Holley took over and fixed it in like .25 seconds not 2 whole seconds lol
@@SloppyMechanics Is the Holley stuff worth the $$ over the Megasquirt3? Since you've changed up to it, I'd assume it is.
@@SGray44444 currently yes, a big yes
Looks killer
I always wonder how long these last. My truck runs around 600 and is always broken.
Race truck bro, nothing lasts
I would love to know the build on this as I am doing the same truck almost the same power goals
Do you do remote tuning?
Is it still living?
Matt can you tell me what headers are usually used in 73 turbo nova builds? The holley I bought don't fit on driver side.
he built his own, very similar to a truck log, or FSP manifold, he took stock one, wrapped back around under trans, and sliced passenger one in half, welded sch40 pipe under it, and stuck turbo on it
Where is the flex fuel sensor located? I know return line but where at on the line?
Under driver seat he said
Do you think a P01 ecu would have flex sensor issues like that? From what I remember the stock ecu logic doesn’t change percent as quick as this does. Just wondering, since I have flex sensor on my return. You rule thanks for all you do for everyone
correct, refresh rate is super late
Sloppy Mechanics would be neat if Holley released some sort of update to slow the refresh of flex fuel to help this.
@@shannonsisk I think you can force it to ignore the aeration
Sloppy Mechanics just did a log in HPT. 70.4 % alcohol cruising. Drops to 68% under WOT. So nothing crazy. Good thing to keep an eye on though.
Is the stock ecm piggybacked with a terminator x? Anybody ever piggyback a 04 Silverado with terminator x? Is splitting the cam and crank signal all you do?
This truck has eliminated stock ecu, my 2500 is integrated
@@SloppyMechanics man dude i could really use a few tips, i got 1500.00 term x with dbw and trans control arrivinh today. I going to try to do it myself, ive done everything else by myself. Please a few important tips? Like the cam crank signal split, does the term x just get the signal wire off the cam n crank sensors? No power n ground? Or am i wrong. This is a 2004 ext cab 5.3

You probably be better off getting g on the sloppy mechanics Facebook page and asking there, or even the Holley Facebook page.
I’m fixing to convert to E85 and I noticed Matt increases the fuel table - but what about the AFR readings are they close to the same as pump gas? Do you still shoot for 11’s in boost?
It depends on a lot of things but I do get more aggressive meaning, leaner air fuel on e85 most of the time as the combinations like it.
I’ll go mid 12’s air fuel into the 10lb range and then 12.0 ish up to 20lbs then taper into 11.8 area over that, it all depends if it makes significant power increase while tuning
Sloppy Mechanics I noticed that from some of the tunes in the cabinet. I have a 6.0 twin 66mm compstar rods and wiseco pistons 11cc dish so the compression is 9.0:1 with 317’s. I’m starting where I’m at on pump gas and working my way up. I don’t know of a dyno close by ( South Georgia) so it will be mph at the track for tuning. But Thanks for all that you do!!!
The flex sensor issue is intriguing. I don't see what would cause aeration though. At less load there would be more fuel flow through the return than high load, but where would the air come from?
It measures continuity so it needs a nearly perfect laminar flow over the sensor body to read correctly
What’s the full setup??
She clean!!
Do you use any static load for tuning n/a or turboed trucks like this ?
The dyno has no load cell, so it’s inertia only. I would love to load these things up but, can’t, maple grove auto has a loaded Dynojet and I tune on that occasionally also, we might put this truck on there in the future
Sloppy Mechanics how much load would you use for say turbo trucks or n/a /supercharged ?
Depends on power and weight
Sloppy Mechanics say a single cab short box 5.3 cammed ..
Any info on the wheels? I'd like to put these on my truck
bogart something or others
Bogart d10
Would you be interested in tuning my kenne bell g8?
maybe
Amazing!!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Sick
I’m guessing this truck has the pedal upgrade for the ls3 TB?
Yes like 09 Sierra pedal
Awesome just got my terminator x max and I ordered that pedal after watching your videos on your white truck
I have like 4 more to test from some sloppy Canadians
Sloppy Mechanics so far all the 09 pedals have worked for you right?
You have some money! Can you help me with my machine cost for my 6.4 Hemi stroker, cost is out of control. Xwifes are expensive.
sure man i am just handing it out, give me a ring and ill shoot you a check
Sloppy Mechanics. Haha, well said. I could use a custom turbo kit.
Nice drivetrain, just cant stand cateye front ends. Oh well, to each his own 🍺
Nice
Got hit by that storm last night, spun up a few tornados, think I got hit by a small one
Took down a 100ft tree in my back yard, didn’t hit anything luckily
Sloppy Mechanics damn! I live in “farmland” North Carolina, so I don’t have any big trees near my house, only damage I’ve found while inspecting my double wide dream home was some shingles that got pulled up and rolled over. The eye went over a good friend of mine (insert Eye of Solomon here), but he didn’t have any damage, only lost internet.
Is it just the compression that makes the starter sound like it's struggling? Or is there different timing for cranking?
Might just be video but it sounds normal in person
@@SloppyMechanics cool thx. Seemed like even the lights went dimmer than normal. Guess it's just me 😁
Ridiculous power on 12 lbs
“8.5” 10 bolts are pretty strong”..... Lmfaooooooo
This truck has been going high and Mid 9s for about a year is that not good enough
😳👌🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯
Why did I sell my truck??!! 😢
What year is this truck?
I was just the 666th person to like this one. I just wanted to say that
