I have no doubts about the capabilities of the ctx, but in your video the majority of the signals the F75 was telling you it was rubbish and the ctx was telling you it was a good signal but when you dug it, it was mainly rubbish. The ctx telling you it was gold the f75 foil mmm what was it oh yes foil. when the f75 gave you a good signal it was something good like the coin, bits of chopped up can will fool any machine. I know for the money which machine I would be buying, oh yes the one I have the f75

Good video and nice comparison. The only thing is that you shouldve showed in what settings where on each machine. You need to set them both the same or at least on similar settings. Just to make it a neutral and fair comparison. I strongly believe not one of these machines has an edge or lead from one another, (though CTX has 28 frequencies, F75 one). There both very highly capable and deep seeking machines that put in expirienced hands they are going to do their jobs right. Again, thanks for the informative video and keep up the good work.

Thank you you are one of the few people who compare the f75 to anything I'm looking at the f75 and the extera to see what I'm going to buy I won't be buying a gerret because I've had a couple and they seem to false more than other detectors

I use a Fisher F75 LTD and I could tell you were locating trash just by the low & high tones you were getting while swinging side to side. As far as coin numbers, quarters hit at 82 dimes at 70 as well as copper pennies. Zinc coins hit around 62.

CTX for the beach, but I would take the F75 for inland" I have both and love both."

Ronnie, So what is your favorite of the two machines? Which one did you decide was the top performer?

For the price the Fisher F75 is one of the best inland detectors one can buy and it goes head to head with 4 times the price machines. Especially once you know how to understand what it's saying and nailed the settings. I wish it was waterproof, then I'd have my dream machine. But I wish I could afford a CTX3030 for water and the beaches.

I have never found anything interesting when on the f75 id jumped more than 5 , all good targets came almost solid numbers.

Your fisher found the wheat also

Theres a reason why fisher finds more...just kidding.. I know the 75 very well and wouldnt have dug those signals either. pretty much every time you hear a promising target (high tone )combined with an iron grunt its wraparound. walk on by. Dig solid repeatable signals. Theres a significant price difference between the two machines.
But great video and thanks for sharing.

Simon Rechner I agree with this on shallow targets....but those deepies can and will give off those iron grunts in between the high tones. dug a few deep silver dimes like this.

Settings? Disc? Gain? Etc... Add a third 'tector and you'd have apples to oranges to grapefruit.

I wish you would have used a smaller hand digger for digging. That big shovel will get you kicked out of the area faster

You're comparing a $2,500 CTX to a detector that costs $500-700? What's next, comparing a Ferrari to a Honda Accord?

Are you new to this? That comment gives you away. In mild to moderate soil the F75 LTD keeps up with and even surpasses some of the CTX 3030 abilities. This is widely known and the reason you'll see many hunters keep both in their arsenal.

Michael Proctor doesn't matter the cost really. I wasted my money on the CTX because I was told it was "better". I found out for my own it wasn't and went back to my Teknetics T2. They're both supposed o be top of the line machine but Minelabs puts fancy features on there's that doesn't make it any better then over priced it.

I've spent over 5 yrs learning The F75's Language. If you can master that very crucial learning curve, and Believe what the Machine is telling you. Then you can take that $750-$850 detector (I paid a bit more for mine) and literally beat the Batteries out of any of those high Dollar Fancy Machines! Get a Machine that has been proven in the field, stick with it until you have Learned that machines Language, Learn the sounds first, then use what's on the screen to Enhance that machines Language. After awhile you will be able to call your targets before you even dig them! I'm not talking about calling coins, that's easy, when you can call targets while Relic hunting. Then my friend you have what other detectorist call.. Way to much time on your hands! And really should get some new friends and give detecting a rest!
