@@Dissentient Me too. They used to come in pairs over me and I'm sure they saw me on the tractor and deliberately scared the hell out of me, coming from behind and dropping into my field of view. But I'm not that important. We see the C17's coming real low, and occasionally, Growlers come down the ridge but not often, close enough to see the pilots helmets. I wave so hard I fall over. Thanks again, I'll be waiting.
Was on my boat just around the bend other side of fireworks barge. The aircraft put on a good show as usual. A fighter or two would have been great. Thanks to pilots and crew and hope to see you next year.

Haha, just watched a different one from Victoria Bridge. Yours is better. I was at Wilson Outlook. It's amazing how different Riverfire is from different vantage points!
@@Dissentient It was definitely a good view (you can see in many videos here on UA-cam - including mine 😊), but Victoria Bridge was better if you wanted to be up close for the flyovers.

Hey guys I'm from the states so don't attack me for being naïve but I've seen tons of videos and read stories of people being absolutely whomped on by the police for leaving their homes to go to the store to get food or to go on a walk bothering no one. why is it different here? is it because its an event taking place? is it in a different region of Australia? I'm just curious because those people were miserable being on absolute lock down and being absolutely abused by police being slammed down to the ground or kicked or sprayed with mace or chased down. there's so many videos and stories out there...but silence you don't hear about it
Hi :) I have become aware of news hitting overseas on how Australia is under some harsh Authoritarian regime. I can assure you that it is mostly disinformation from the Murdoch media, News Corp. They're really stirring the political pot, so to speak. The majority of Australians are doing okay. The two largest states here are currently in lockdown due to Delta, Melbourne especially has had a rough time. They're now the city that's been in lockdown for the longest time anywhere in the world I believe. The footage that you would be seeing is the dissenters who are willingly putting themselves in situations where police need to act upon them. In other words, they're idiots who make the rest of us cringe. Everyone here is allowed to leave their homes etc. It's not as dystopian as the Murdoch media is painting it out to be. The rest of Australia is doing fine. My city Brisbane, where this is filmed isn't in lockdown. We have only 27 active cases. Hope that clears things up. Spread the word too. Murdoch media, News Corp, Fox, etc need to be exposed for what they're doing.
