As someone who is running a home server, I definitely prefer some efficient ARM or RISC-V SBC because while many cores with a lot of power can be useful. More important will be overall efficiency since the server is running all the time. Also most typical server tasks like your own Nextcloud, wiki, blog or some automated scripts... none of this needs a lot of power. Even for video encoding or decoding you will find hardware acceleration without going x86. It really looks like overkill for most home server use cases. More likely a small form factor desktop computer in my opinion.
It is much better than the AMD CPU I bought before. After using the coupon, the price is still cheap. I communicated with the customer about the after-sales problem, and found that there are other discounts after the communication, which is several dozen dollars cheaper. I have been using it for more than a week and have not found any dissatisfaction.
I'm found this mini pc trying to build a retro home console (up to Switch) and also a plex server (intel chip), but there is not much information about it. By any change do you plan on doing an emulation test with it? 😃
These Mini PC's use a propriety MB & other & if there is a problem ...you probably won't be able to fix it yourself plus they're too expensive. I'd rather build my own PC that will be cheaper, faster & I can fix it myself. 😉
Mini PC's aren't for people who want to build a desktop from scratch though- they're more a replacement for laptops, where someone wants a much better keyboard + mouse + screen than will ever be possible with a laptop, but still retain a bit of portability (consider a mini PC can be mounted to the rear of a monitor or television)
I've noticed that the mini PC is backed by a 1-year manufacturer warranty. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact the seller without hesitation.
An external reader is like $6 on Amazon 💀. I need a MicroSD Reader and never find the lack of a MicroSD Reader to be a deterrent on any device that stays at home.
To your credit, I haven't tested whether an external MicroSD Reader works on this mini pc yet, but I'll find out on Sunday lol. No barebones is a bigger issue for me rather than not having an internal Micro SD reader.

Does that 2nd M.2 slot accommodate a 4TB drive? Sometimes these capacities are limited to one or two.
Smart editing in the end there. youtube blocks the video with those massive cards.

Why didn't they add a SD card slot? Stupid.
Lower the budget cost?
@@johnterrence4638 And reduce sales numbers. It's smart indeed.
