This game will probably go down as the one with the best documented development timeline ever. I imagine these updates will stop if it’s ever picked up by Ubisoft but even then it’ll still be true. So happy to see this isn't over yet, I remember seeing trailers and teasers way back then, and while this video is from 1 year ago, that's fairly recent.
I guess that some of these balls were meant to resemble the orbs (or even fists) which Rayman would be able to shoot? Also do you plan on making other objects such as rocks or some metal to be destructible as well in some way? Other than that, the visuals and sound effects are great, this area looks nice too, I'm guessing that it's Dream Forest? Sorry for asking so many questions lately, the project's progress seem to go more smoothly than ever before and I'm just curiously hyped.
They're just test balls - I was going to have it so you can pick up and throw things though. The destruction works on any model, so I'll find as many cool or fun places to use it as I can. And that's the edge of the Dream Forest yes - approaching Windmill Hills.
This is just a suggestion (if you even see it) but I recommmend if something falls that it ex. 0:15 that it might break more of the incomplete corner by falling. That might mess up what you were trying to do with so keep in mind that it is just a suggestion.
man this might create so much events in term of gameplay : path to open, progectil shooting games, chace level with a boulder destroying the obstacles you have to dodge ar destroying the platforms you have to jump on. man this sims so cool. Do you have a place in which we can see when the game is readdy without having too much spoilers?

Nintendo hire this woman :D The fog effects are great, I like the vibe. What we see here begs the question: Will you be able to climb the rubble up? Or maybe even ledge hang from it?
@Lunatic Dancer: I was going to make climbable walls have actual hand and foot holds like in AC. I could give that a try on these, hadn't actually thought about it! Maybe most scaffolds will only have the vertical corner beams with only some having a side with sideways support beams, so that one side is climbable! Boom, see, not hard, and you're helping!

I'm having it so you can pick up and throw virtually anything, including enemies if they're stunned - though heavier things (like enemies) will only get a quick shove-throw (enough to send someone off an edge like in AC) unless you charge up and aim them far.
@@rayfan9876 This is gonna be Rayman's coolest potrayal, even cooler than his 3rd one, he definetely seems to be more deadly in this than in other parts, and when it comes to picking up large enemies and objects, I'd suggest some kind of an upgrade which you could purchase, similar to one in Revolution where you could run with heavy load, take your time in creating combat mechanics, we'll patientally wait 😉
In my own opinion, Rad Venture, has a lot of inspiration that might be worth taking inspiration from. Idk if you are aware of its existence already though. But I am thinking specifically, with how it evolved the helicopter gameplay of Rayman's. PREMulous covered it on his channel if you need a reference outside of actually playing it yourself.

I understand that you are most likely working on this on your own time, so I understand if no levels in such are finished yet. Three, will you give rayman a sort of rag doll effect when hit with high speed objects? I think that would be kinda funny! Anyways, amazing job on this game so far! Keep it up!
Technically, this is a great display, but I have a suggestion; would a more cartoony assortment of physics better suit this game? Think of the janky, quick and cartoony appearance of Rayman 2 structures/builds falling apart for what I'm thinking of
I actually wanted to accomplish that feel yeah. Not 100% here necessarily since I was testing things out, but definitely that faster/jerkier cartoon impact feel. You might notice things actually do move a lot "faster" than real life here, so it's kind of 50%. Once I actually incorporate it into level design then I can tune it more in that direction
