Hoffman soda had a plant in Newark, NJ. It later became the Pabst Blue Ribbon plant. It was located on South Orange Avenue. I remember my parents purchasing the soda in the can and bottles in the late 60s.
Thanks for posting on a Tuesday . That one bottle @5:19 , the shorter one next to the ginger ale bottle that you didn't pick up is a Hutch style soda bottle from the 1900's . Some of them depending on the state are worth a lot of money . If you find a Coke hutch it is worth over $1,000.00 or more
At 19:50 there was a Jeanette glass jadeite beehive shaker! It will glow brightly under UV light! I am wondering if it has any uranium in it? Can you please test one like it with Geiger counter? I’m curious! Thank you for your videos! My husband and I truly enjoy watching your videos. We hope to visit your area someday to attend some of these flea markets! We love your Mom! Her accent is wonderful!
My wife was there the day before the flood. She grew up in Southbury and used to go there all the time in the 80's. She said that it's currently a shade of what it was back then.
I only started going there last year, so I can't say what it was like in the past. I've heard that there can be a lot of vendors one day and then barely any the next. It's hit or miss.
@fleabittenadventures I mean if the plates or the glasses were green, meaning they are uranium, then the guy who later became a green hulk should be working with uranium !.😊
Tom schooling all the guys on Uranium glass, 🤣Everyone that talks about it in your videos seems hesitant and worried about it but you! I do wonder myself about having that stuff around, definitely not using them for food or drink. (though I guess you just display) But don't we get too much radiation through microwaves, phones, medical xrays etc, to have more around our homes? Not rhetorical, Tom...I'm really curious if it's safe to have a collection, or your thoughts on it?
From what I've read, it's safe as long as you don't eat off it, or ingest any pieces of it (not sure how one would do that). Also, I figure if I'm lucky I will gain superpowers like the Incredible Hulk. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the info!

Interesting! I'll have to look into that! Thanks for the info!

I remember getting the Fresca bottle out of a vending machine. Hoffman soda advertised on the Joe Franklin show hear in NY
I don't remember ever seeing Fresca in a vending machine, but I might not have been looking either.
Surprised you passed up checking out the Polaroid Colorpack II camera at 14:55. There is also a Soundesign 8 track player/AM-FM radio
Believe it or not, I didn't even see it, or it didn't register with me. Thanks for watching!

I havent been to our local flea market in a couple of years. It's a hassle because the traffic and parking gets crowded.
Yes, parking is limited, that's for sure! It's fun though! I love the smaller flea markets because I tend to find the best deals there.
The robot is supposedly from 1970 and was made by Soma Hong Kong/Tam Toys
Good to know. Did you happen to see what it's worth? Thanks!
I am new to CT is there a list of all the flea markets
The degrees in Fahrenheit is for measuring temperature d u h
Oh yeah, you're right. How silly of me.
Tell your mom i love ❤ her please Tom

You went to a flee market and didn't have 90 bucks on you......
I did at the beginning of the day, but not by the time I got to this vendor. I had gone to two flea markets that day.
The rare 7-Up bottle has eight dots on instead of 7
Good to know! Thanks!
