Hi Tom. That wind up clock at the beginning is possibly from the late 40s to sometime in the 50s. It most likely needs to be taken to a jewelry repair shop and given a good cleaning and it might work again. Walmart opened their first store in Bentonville, Arkansas in 1961. I work at Walmart and they have a picture on the wall in personal of the first store. Started out as a 5 & dime store in the 50s by Sam Walton. The candy tin with the oranges on top is from the 70s and came from the gourmet and European candy section in grocery stores back then. I remember them well. The food looked good. Thanks Tom.
Thanks for the info! I'm pretty sure we were buying the candy tin with the oranges as late as the 1990's, so that's why it seemed odd for someone to be selling one. Thanks for watching!
I’d love to see the 64 Worlds Fair video myself. It was Roy Rogers’s horse that was stuffed, and he’s now on display at the John Wayne Museum in Ft. Worth.
The clock doesn't have a second hand, so you have to wind and then wait to see if the minute hand moves. Otherwise you won't be able to tell for about a minute.
Tom, have you found the cost of antiques in general has increased ? I feel within the last year some of the prices are out to lunch on certain items. You really have to know what items are worth.
Well, things are only worth what you are willing to pay for it. For the most part it's just people cashing in on greedflation. But as things get acquired and put in collection that item gets harder to find and worth more.
It depends. Some things have definitely gone up in price. I used to be really into comic books, but since that thing in 2020, the prices have generally skyrocketed.
Ha ha. Am I wrong? It looked EXACTLY like a nail! Now, that could be how they made it, or someone may have replaced it over the years. Hard to say. Thanks for watching!
I didn't think so, but a seller at another flea market had this glassed labeled as a Dr. Pepper glass. He must have mixed up the tags. Thanks for watching!
That's what I thought, but at one of the flea markets I went to, the seller had it labelled as a Dr. Pepper glass. They must have just mixed up the labels. Thanks for watching!
I’d bring my own food, it’s gotten expensive and quality isn’t as good as it once was, the roast turkey sandwich was good, I stay away from the fried stuff
lol…. If you collect for awhile there is a certain price point you won’t go over … character glasses I won’t go over $5 in my area because I know I can find at that price… I do the same thing and go WHAT! $20? I can get cheaper! If it’s eBay pricing at a flea market it’s too much
There's several reasons. I collect antique coins so I know what the market value of coins is via eBay and books that get published yearly. Honestly, there's a certain price point that you don't want to go over because you can get it cheaper online. Why do I want to travel to pay market or above market when I can save money on my time, gas, and energy by buying what I want at home.
YES would definitely like to see World's Fair collection!
OK. Thanks for watching!

I didn't even think of that! Thanks for watching!

The tanks are from the 1950’s to 1960’s… I had them as a kid…
Thanks for the info! I thought they looked old, but I could see them being faked too. Thanks for watching!
It looks like a nail to me 😂
Ha ha. Am I wrong? It looked EXACTLY like a nail! Now, that could be how they made it, or someone may have replaced it over the years. Hard to say. Thanks for watching!
@@fleabittenadventures no you're not wrong - it definitely looked like a nail!

The first part of at was supposed to be hann Barbara
Thanks for the info and for watching!
How did you like this flea market?
I like it! Thanks for watching!
It has nothing to do with Dr Pepper. It’s something to do with truckers and radios or something.
I didn't think so, but a seller at another flea market had this glassed labeled as a Dr. Pepper glass. He must have mixed up the tags. Thanks for watching!
CB Jargon glass not Dr. Pepper.. Citizen Band radio
That's what I thought, but at one of the flea markets I went to, the seller had it labelled as a Dr. Pepper glass. They must have just mixed up the labels. Thanks for watching!
Frogs! Frogs! Frogs!
For sure! Thanks for watching!
The tank on the picture of those boxes of the diecast models was way too modern to be 1943
I thought so. Another viewer says they are from the late 40's or 50's. Thanks for watching!
I’d bring my own food, it’s gotten expensive and quality isn’t as good as it once was, the roast turkey sandwich was good, I stay away from the fried stuff
I agree! Thanks for watching!
Listen to your mother Roy Rogers had his horse trigger stuffed
Ha ha! I will! Thanks for watching!
Tom can I date your mom somday she will love ❤ me
I can't make that decision for her. Sorry. Thanks for watching!
WHY is it that some people go from Item to Item and try and disclaim or discredit every single thing they look at ?
lol…. If you collect for awhile there is a certain price point you won’t go over … character glasses I won’t go over $5 in my area because I know I can find at that price… I do the same thing and go WHAT! $20? I can get cheaper! If it’s eBay pricing at a flea market it’s too much

You mean if I say an item is overpriced, or damaged, etc? If so, that's because it's the truth. Thanks for watching!
Exactly! Thanks for watching!
Yes! Thanks for watching!
