- I am leaving Apeks after I decided not to sign the offered extension to finish the season with them. In the video, I will be talking about reasons why I leave, both in-game and out of the game. Also, briefly talking about the leader of the team, and my personal future plans when it comes to competing and this UA-cam channel. Thanks for being on this wild ride with me :)

WHO AM I:
👋🏽 I'm Martin, in esport world known as STYKO. I’ve played CS:GO & CS2 professionally for a few years in various best international teams in the world.
👣 I used to be a part of HellRaisers, where my esport journey started. I represented mousesports and peaked #2 in the world and I also wore Cloud9 and FPX jerseys, one of most famous esport organisations in the world. Now I am part of team Apeks which made it to TOP4 of last CS:GO Major in Paris.

A few minutes after I shared this video, there were reports flying around saying that Apeks is going to transfer-list the rest of the roster. And, as you can say from the vibe of this video, I am a fan of this decision. Honestly, as of recording (and uploading) this video, I had no clue about this possibility, so I wanted to pin this comment for full context.

You made the right decision to leave Styko. I could tell from watching the Apeks major vlogs that there was a weird vibe and tension within the team. It was clear there wasn't a good chemistry. I felt the other players didn't respect and trust sense as an IGL. although he's a solid player, he was surrounded by older players and I think they needed a more experienced igl with leadership qualities for that role. Best of luck in the future, you'd be a great asset to any team.

Not many pros would go back to help their team that dropped them in their time of need. Just shows the class he has. I cant imagine there will be too much trouble finding a good lineup.

I mean it's true... you could kinda tell when the team played well on a major and the big teams came and took jL and kyxsan... you can hardly recover back from that.

Styko, I think any lineup you're on will benefit. A ton of competitive success has more to do more with team chemistry than people think, and I think you'll find that somewhere for sure.

STYKO, you should make a video covering important lessons you've learned throughout your career. Perhaps you could go into detail about different practice methods/approaches to the game on different teams and the causes of significant leaps in personal performance. Love the videos, keep up the great work!

Great mentality, have experienced the same issues in various teams and it's just not worth it. Find people who are on the same wavelength and proceed with it.

Completely understand and support you STYKO, I've been in a few teams where I naturally want to aggress and take space, find openings and catch opponents off guard but due to similar circumstances you're in and micro managing IGLs I've been thrown to a support role where I can't find my own impact and not allowed to play my own style, leading to poor individual performances and a huge decrease in confidence. I think it's EXTREMELY important you have your own style and creativeness in the game and play around that, any team which isn't utilising your skills and abilities shouldn't be worth your time :)
