I hope you enjoy this video and it helps you transition or stick to your vegan whole food plant based diet. These top 10 vegan foods have helped me lose up to 50 lbs of fat and got me healthier than I have ever been before. Most of the foods that I love and have made my top 10 list of vegan, plant based foods are high starch allowing me to stay full and satisfied for longer periods of time. When I make meals with these plant foods, I make sure to keep my meals lower in fat as well. I still eat fat, I just don't overdue it. I ready the book, The Starch Soution and really started to understand calorie density which is what helped me lose 50 LBS of body fat.

I feel like I say this every video but Tia is 100% right. Tia, you've made my life so easy. I'm no longer pouring hours into meal prep. You have to set yourself up for success. I'm 40 lbs down. Halfway to my goal. I'm at a plateau but I'm adjusting and I'll get through it. But stress reduction is vital to weight loss. And if you lessen the stress in the kitchen, life will be so much easier. Since I started cooking like Tia suggests, I no longer look in the pantry and wonder what I'm going to cook. I just grab my stuff and put it together. Family is fed in less than 30 min. Frozen rice. Precooked potatoes. Frozen veggies. Canned beans. Sauces and seasonings. Boom!!! Game Changer yall!!!!!!

For me: rice, hummus, chickpeas, frozen blueberries, frozen spinach, vegetable broth, olive oil, oats, sweet potatoes, dried fruit, apples. These are my staples. I'm 90% plant based but not vegan :)

Loved this video so much Tia. I love your joyful way! 💗 Green tea is caffeine free if you don't want too too much lemon on your (or your kids) teeth! I like it extra strong because it tastes weak to me. But if you liked sweet tea before ...you can make it iced too with stevia! What was that sauce you had in your potato salad? 😋😋😋 It looked different than cheese sauce! Thank you for sharing! 💗🙏🌺

I agree with the frozen rice! Make a bunch in my rice cooker and freeze individually in one cup servings. Also love potatoes and bananas. So filling. The vegetable broth definitely helps with oil free cooking. I used to cook almost everything in oil. Such a game changer when that was removed! Thanks for continuing to think of recipes and foods that support WFPB no oil cooking:)

Great advice for nutrition and weight loss! So many people eat foods that are healthy but not necessarily good for losing weight. This video does both and also keeps it simple enough that anyone can do it. Only one suggestion and that is that these recommendations do not need to completely replace the diet you have ... just eat these first and try and fill up on these dishes. You'll eat much less of the high calorie dense food.

I love the convenience of frozen fruit and vegetables, especially the mixed variety. And canned beans can't be beat for a quick dinner. I use an Aroma large volume rice cooker and blend three kinds of rice together. About once a week I make this and freeze the rice flat in sandwich zip lock bags with one cup of rice. So we have rice in the refrigerator, rice in the freezer and rice in the pantry. I have not made a cheese sauce I really like and the other sauces have been okay but the only outstanding sauce I really enjoyed was tomato based sauce, no oil, loaded with veggies. However making it takes a big effort because I water saute a lot of nonstarchy vegetables before I add no salt, no oil canned tomato sauce. Oh, and any recipe or dish with any kind of nuts is off limits as I'm allergic to all nuts, yes, walnuts, pecans, peanuts. I found very low sodium liquid coconut amino liquid today. I didn't realize how much it cost until I checked me receipt. Wow, that was expensive, but low sodium amino, tamari and low sodium soy sauces are still ridiculously high in sodium that I hope the expense is worth it to get this lower sodium product. I have stalled on weight loss. I think my body will eventually get through this stall, as I have made an effort to strengthen and tone and get more activity in any week. Thanks for the video.

@@HealthyVeganMama Love your channel and positive message. I am detoxing from protein based to plant based and years of excess MSG and sodium. Found you looking for ideas. Wanted to make you aware @ MSG as the info is well hidden.
Naturally occurring glutamine acid is no worry. The additive used in tens of thousands of products builds up deep into the brain tissue and can cause inflammation, swelling, kill brain cells, disrupt electrical impulses, weaken neurotransmitters (hello insomnia), burn out neurons, cause confusion, anxiety and etc.
MSG is well hidden in words like "spices ", glutamine, hydrolyzed, maltodextrin, carrageenan, balsamic vinegar, yeast extract, barley malt, corn starch, wheat starch, modified good starch, gelatin, whey protein, soy protein, soy sauce, broth, bullion, stock, seasonings and more.
Nutritional yeast is a specific glutamine acid only found there - highly irritating to the intestinal lining - can contribute to IBS and Celiac. Haven't transitioned to WFPB but trying very hard to add veggies to my life which I've lost my taste for, and not eating red meat. The way I get a ton of veggies in my diet is I cook any and everything in one big pot of broth. Cabbage, spinach, carrots, sweet or regular potatoes, onion, broccoli etc, as well as beans and whatever spices you like. Then I use my immersion blender and wallah you've got a great tasty sauce to put on everything. I keep containers in the freezer.
For my water which I really dont like I always add stevia, but lately I've been brewing a pitcher of green tea and adding the juice of orange, lemon and cukes. Strain the cucumber juice. Really tasty with Stevia.

I’m a little confused on the beans. If you add beans to rice, are you doubling the starch side of your plate? Do you need to add extra veggies? Thanks! Love your videos!

I am always so busy I chop my kale, lettuce wash them wash my spring mix and other leafy veggies then spin dry them in a big container I mix them together for diversity and store them in a reusable ziploc bag and they last 3 weeks. Rice, quinoa, couscous I cook and freeze. D rest of my meals r canned beans, pre-made dressings, fruits and other things that does not need cooking. Don't freeze my pasta I just make a batch for the week. During the week I don't cook, don't have the time. This makes eating healthier super easy. My potatoes I cook, I dont freeze just pop in microwave with a cup of water and it's like u just cooked them. All beans am using for the week is out the can, rinsed and stored in a mason jar. So for the gals with no time or just too lazy u can definately live this lifestyle stress and worry free.

I love your recipes! I am trying to reduce oils the past 2 weeks and its going well. The only thing bothering me is how to sate my mushrooms when I am making my mushroom stroganoff... if I do sate them in veggie broth, they end up being squishy and soggy. Do you have any tipps for that? Thank you :)

I like the texture I get when I use Derek Sarno’s approach from Wicked Kitchen. Use a heavy pan, let their natural juices come out, and press them with another heavy pot or even a steak press. YUM

I haven't eaten a banana for decades, but, I read that banana peelings are good for the garden, so I started eating them again, and, I timed how long after eating a banana I became hungry again, for me, one banana keep me filling full for 4 hours.
