MOST DANGEROUS PLACE IN THE WORLD!? ACAPULCO, MEXICO
Вставка
- Опубліковано 25 гру 2020
- I was about to take the bus to Acapulco which has been classified as the most dangerous place in the world some years. In the year 2020 it is classified as the 3rd most dangerous place in the world with a number of 107 homicides per 100.000 inhabitants. I had come form Puerto Escondido to explore the town and find out if it is dangerous and why it is dangerous. In the coming video I will be going to see the famous cliff divers at La Quebrada.

I’m from Acapulco and I want to THANK YOU for showing my beautiful city, I live in California now but I try to go back to my hometown as often as I can. Yes, a lot of things have changed and I wished it was the same as like in the 80’s and 90’s but still BEAUTIFUL ❤️
I saw a grown man take a shite on the side of the road, it sucks, but it's beautiful at the same time, and I'm talking about the city life.
I Remember When I Was Young, 1970ish, Watching The Cliff Diving On Wide World Of Sports.
I remember that in the 90's Acapulco was a most recognized tourist place in Mexico, but thanks to the organized crime of the government this state is an area controlled by the narco!!
The whole of Mexico is controlled by the cartels and has been for decades
México is a narco state. Not even Colombia is

Acapulco has been improving for the past five years. Believe me it’s much safer than what it was ten years ago, where you would hardly see any people in the streets at any hour of the day. The government has been trying to rehabilitate a lot of zones to get Acapulco back to its golden days when it was known as Mexico’s paradise during the 70s and 80s. Acapulco is basically like Chicago right now.
Interesting comparison.
Thanks for the information!
Improving? Yea right.
Chicago?😂😂
bro im from acapulco and people are getting killed everyday up in the suburbs ...
Stay close to the Costera, it is more safer there then in the suburbs. And try not to go to Av. Cuauhtémoc at night. There are several cheap restaurants along la Costera.
Thanks for the comment!
Nah nah! Ive been there, accually lived there for a month! And never felt in danger. Only glasses stolen because i left them!

The best thing about acapulco is that it's just Mexicans having a good time not overrun by foreigners. High quality good prices. Lots of fun. It's like going back in time.

Acapulco is the most beautiful bay of the world. It was the main port of trade with Asia for many centuries. It is still the favorite resort for people from Mexico City. It never has cold weather. By the way it has night clubs in the beach and has crazy nightlife.
Thanks for the comment yes it is very beautiful there I like it :)

We went kayaking in that bay. Fun
@@loismayette2747 that’s awesome long time ago it must’ve been beautiful

If I could come up with the exact person I can imagine would get robbed the quickest in Mexico it would be him. Not even kidding
Haha, he looks exactly like a vic.
That’s exactly what I was thinking in the first 3 seconds. Do not know how I got this on my feed. 😳
The backpack and everything lol
Exactly. Check out his nap sack.
Of course I’m a 🇸🇪 female with long super blond hair and my Latino husband said my hair glows like a 💡 light bulb 👱♀️ he told me that I would be a “big time target” in Mexico 🇲🇽 but as long as I’m with him over in Agua Prieta I’m good …Viva Mexico ! 🇲🇽 😂👍🏼
I’ve been there a few times but always stayed on the resort.
Can’t wait to watch your adventures now.
Hello thank you very much I'm glad you like the videos :)
I guess he expects the gangsta shit to happen right in front his camera in the open
Was watching your video about cancun and feel way less nervous about going there from canada on monday! Thank you for that. I wont be staying at the resort area so your video was nice and reassuring. You are absolutely fearless and one solid human being. Inspiring me to travel more. Keep up the great videos, cant wait to see some more adventures you go on.
Very, very interesting video. I am a Mexican man living and working in USA. I did born in Acapulco. Often I heard and read terrible things about my country. Your videos inspire me to achieve the goal in order to return as soon as I can to my so beautiful country. Thank you so much for your videos. Hello from Washington state. Eugenio
Yes the media spreads negative information about Mexico a lot. Other parts of the world are also dangerous. But the media loves to report on fear, danger and tragedy.
Jajaaua
Mostly, greengoes' news. México is not really that dabgerous.
God bless ~ what an amazing country, heartbreaking to see the suffering - but it is here too

Stay safe!! I can’t wait to see more videos of you in Acapulco!!! I will love to go there. 😉
Thank you :) I'm safe!
We went to Acapulco in 2019. My wife and I fell in love with Acapulco. Yes, we were told how dangerous it can be but as long as you stay where tourists are, you should be fine. We're definitely going back when this pandemic settles down.
Which is never!!
Sorry!!
Definitely if you stay away from trouble that's anywhere you go..
Well my husband & i use to go 80s back in the day....we went 6 yrs ago....told dangerous but we thought we would c. Well.... saw guy shot 6 ft away from us.

Like a true Swede abroad.. You have perfected the fine art of looking inconspicuous and perfectly blending in with the locals! :-) Fantastiska videos mannen!
I was in Acapulco back in 1984. I loved it! Had the best time! I was distressed to hear it had become so dangerous. But I’ve also heard it is getting better. I’d love to go back in a couple of years.
I've been there ..was awesome
😂it's not better
Keep up the good work and keeping it interesting. Truly helps out when visiting these places
You always make me laugh so hard! I love Acapulco but it’s been years since I was there. I would be happy to go!

Hello William great to see you made it! Acapulco seems like a busy city... I don’t like it, but I do appreciate you sharing your experience with us. You know I heard about a popular cliff where locals dive in the ocean; I believe it’s a tourist place and a lot of Hollywood 🤩films where made there, back in the day. Take good care and keep safe my friend, god bless 😊
Hello thank you yes it's la quebrada where they dive from the cliffs !
Looking good! Stay out of the bad neighborhoods! Happy holidays! Travel safe! ✌️

@@williamtaudien Yes! If you can go to the Neighborhood of Las Brisaa on top of the hill from some great sunset shots with your drone.
You can try the Las Brisas Hotel tell them you’re going for a drink at the sunset bar so they can let you in! Also if you can check out Puerto Marques and Playa Revolcadero which is in the other side of the hill on the way to the Airport is open sea there! Keep Enjoying!👌🏼

In regard of safety in Acapulco you don't have to worry. It is quite safe, just do not go to bad neighborhood.

Hello thanks a lot I will :D
Do you think you'll make it to Puerto Vallarta (PV) before leaving Mexico?
I think I will make it there yes
Good video William! I like how you don't just blindly listen to stories of crime etc., you go find out for yourself. You seem reasonable about it, it doesn't seem like you are looking for trouble.
Thanks yeah I'm not looking for it. In the downtown area by the beach it seemed safe and lots of police on the streets
Terrific well-done video. Great music!

A little back story on Acapulco, it was one of the safest cities in Mexico but the leader on Beltran cartel was killed in morelos 2009. And people started to fight for the control of the plaza and has been since

Hi William
I am glad that you are showing your viewers how Acapulco, Mexico really is. It looks pretty cool. I like that city feel to it. I would definitely would like to travel to that city. Thanks for your post and your cool diving skills. I like doing that myself. 👍🍻

I spent alot of time in Acapulco in the 70s & 80s. Always a good time. Things change with time. Cancun is my choice now. Stay on the main coast road. Never tell anyone of your departure. Have fun and stay safe. Happy holidays.
Oh great to hear I wish I could see what it looked like in the 70s!
I'll remember Cancun of the early 80's-mid 90's, not now.
Why don’t tell anyone of your departure? Curious not a world traveler
@@fouraces1949 A few people will use this to rob you the day before your departure. They know your unlikely to go to the police. At the time the airlines would charge a fee for change. An older gentleman on the beach told me this. Good advise.
Cancun and Playa are comfortable and beautiful but also very dangerous. There is a lot of investment there, so they don’t tell you what happens and the media is paid by the tourism board of Quintana Roo state. Playa del Carmen most business are close because of the extortion problems there even you can’t walk without being harassed by drug dealers
Saying prayers for you🙏🏼
Watching from Ontario Canada
Hugs!
Pinguiland yikes!!!
Thanks!
Esa fue una excelente respuesta
Love the pool tricks, great video!
The mountains/hills look amazing!
I was born in Acapulco, I really want the situation to improve in this beautiful city. 🇲🇽✨
Just like everywhere else in the world you have to use your common sense, even here in Beverly hills walking at night coated with jewelry will be a really nasty experience.. Happy New Year bro !!!
Yeah it's true everywhere can be dangerous. My hometown in Sweden is also dangerous
Yep this is the correct answer for most of the destinations around the world. Practice common sense, don’t draw attention to yourself, don’t give someone the opportunities. Chances are you’ll be fine.

BTW, perhaps you are talking yourself into Bali. It is open with special E Visa which I am getting and you can too. It is a little expensive but worth it.
I am going to move to Bali from Playa Del Carmen in February.
Maybe I will see you there!
Oh awesome yes I've seen people going to Bali now actually. There is a lot of traffic there in the down town area but a bit outside there are so many nice waterfalls. Haha that's a good name!
All Mexico is amazing...not only the beaches. I have been living here all my life and always safe and happy.
You started bouncing on that bed and I spit out my coffee, choking with laughter. Great tour of beautiful Acapulco, by the way.

Exploring how dangerous is Acapulco sounds like your statement that the place is rather peaceful. The trick is staying always along la Costera, where the good action is.

Dude your funny my first time watching you your great be safe!
You can find really affordable places to stay in Mexico. I found you probably need to do it in advance though.. like I got a nice apartment in Guadalajara for $13 USD a night.. Kitchen, great wifi, comfortable bed, a couch, hot water, etc.. plus it's around Christmas so that'll jack prices up slightly... Enjoy Acapulco!
Thanks for the tips! Yeah I think the coast is much more expensive also. 25 was not a whole lot actually it was pretty good but still compared to south east asia it was about double the price for a place by the beach
Beign honest wich Beach destination you prefer... Acapulco or oacaxa's coast ?
