Hello matt your right about the back rolling that will eliminate the furring of the plasterboard I was just trying to find a way of doing the walla without back rolling . Which I have , I now use 150 grit sandpaper on the walls which gets rid of the furring,. Thanks for the advice matt 👍
Hi Colin Does the taping get rolled with a sealer coat before you mist the plots ? It’s a pva type product that should be rolled on by the tapers to harden the face of the board Think that would help Gtec universal sealer
The dry lining contractor should get pulled for it , I class it as a very very important part of the system No matter how pissy the gear is they use it binds everything together Also the amount of joints reskimmed the n that plot looks out of order , I’d be looking to contra charge for that lot it’s a piss take Dave
@@camdecorations9779 a pva coating I think would sort this problem out.this problem has become a real issue now on price work.dry liners should be held accountable
Hi mate, I think it’s all down to the extra water your putting on the naked boards, which is raising the paper fibres. You should try using an acrylic primer neat. Tikkurla do a wall acrylic primer which might be worth a shout. Another good video tho 👍
Colin luv your vids your a natural in front of the camera, impeccable taste in music. keep up the good work:-) I use a makita 18v leaf blower to blow off boards prior to spaying. I think it's caused by the absorption rate of the board and the compound and that the only thing that hides it truly, is the texture from the roller
Can i ask what tip size you are using here? And what water to emulsion ratio do you use or does it change with different brands? Great videos by the way, thanks
Hello Jay I'm using a 517 tip and my water ratio is 30% . I'm going to try 25% and see how that goes. It does make a difference what brand of paint you use , we use dulux and crown which are thick paints, i don't think i could go 25% with dulux because of how thick it is . Farrell & ball would be around 15% because of how thin it is . Thanks for watching 👍
@@camdecorations9779 although you sweaped walls down now the dust is on floor so each time you go up and down your blowing the dust onto wet walls. Try spraying crossways
Hi Colin. After first coate. Pole sand all walls ceilings using ya round sander .dust of with leaf blower.either cut and roll. Or spray then back roll
