Was sure I saw you walking around and I indeed I did as you caught me at 6:48 (black Diesel jumper with glasses and beard 😊) I struggled with it a bit. Some parts I really enjoyed but it felt a bit like it didn’t know what it was trying to be and so ended up being not a woodworking thing, not a craft thing, not an anything really. Also thought they’d have been a few more tool stands, even Axminsters was very sparse with actual tools. Hoping the Harrogate show later this year is a little better
Hi Welshwoodco...Fab to see you! I know what you mean about not knowing what it's trying tp be. I think the split is more obvious this year, but I did like the more independent makers who were there this year. I agree with more companies having a stand. I did speak to Evolutioon about this but they didn't make it this year.
I went a couple of years ago and by the looks of it, it's definitely got bigger. BTW, the care (like Stranger Things) are all owned by Nick Zametti, who is the organiser of `Makers Central. Cheers.
Nice video; you captured the feel of the show nicely. I went last year, and remember thinking that Lumberjack tools weren't particularly well finished. Are they the same Chinese made items as Clarke / Machine Mart stuff?
If you look up to the 3rd floor of the Genting Hotel, you can see me waving! 🤣 I was there for our combined Stag and Hen do. I knew it was Maker Central, but time constraints (and the fact i would need a van for all the tools i'd want to buy) meant we couldn't make it. Good video, that shows how big craft industry is growing. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I do watch other woodworkers on You tube like the one you mentioned, Stuart Proper DIY, Peter Parfit , Peter Millard, and I do like a bit of Colin Furze plus others. I also like Leo Hand-i-craft, Rob Weekend Shedhead, Mark Small workshop adventures, Mark Start making, Frank Williams, Brett Useless to useful, Reggy on the road, Dean Woodworking journey, Phill Wyatt, Matt Badger workshop ,Keith Brown, Dave Stanton and your good self. Great video from the NEC in Birmingham, I usually go there for the motor show but I haven't been there for about 7-8 years, catch you sone Take care
