@Glenn Herron can we not be drawn to both? I don’t know a lot of people who are drawn to traditional practices just because it’s “fun”. Most are drawn to it because they notice how important it is to truly venerate Him.
Whenever Priests talk about seminary it makes me sad because I had a strong Call on my heart for the Priesthood and I ignored it, stopped praying and eventually left The Church and got mixed up in protestantism. Through training to be a protestant pastor, by the Grace of God I found that Catholicism is and always has been the True Church.
In the Latin Mass the Priest never rushes anyone. As some people seem to say they feel rushed. Out of love and respect due to Our Lord we are requested to receive the Holy Eucharist kneeling and on the tongue in the Latin Mass. Viva Cristo Rey
I am so thankful that the Lord has given me strength, to keep going, even though I want to give up. I have two beautiful boys both are autistic. My husband passed away years ago. I’m all alone. I lost my job over declining the vaccine. LIKE MANY OTHERS! I declined due to my pre existing health conditions lupus and heart disease. I’ve been struggling to provide for myself and my children since losing my job from Forsyth hospital. I’m now waitressing, and I’m thankful, but I’m not making nearly enough to get by. Groceries are super expensive. Every month is a battle to not end up on the streets with my two children. I’m constantly in fear of losing my home. To even think about being on the streets with two young children is terrifying. But even as I face homelessness seemingly every month. I have faith, God will provide! With GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! Faith over fear.

Please reach out to any government services or Catholic Charity. Praying for you and your two beautiful children. I know your fear is real, but like you said God will provide, so be sure to stay alert to any help that is available.
Thank you, I've had such a desire recently to practice this. I'll admit I've been afraid to, I feel very alone and have met nothing but disdain and opposition to my growth in faith by all who are close to me. Pls pray for me that I overcome these fears
Great job! If I may add one more point to an already great video: People need to also be taught to be restful and “childlike.” As an intimate encounter with the Lord Jesus, we are invited to receive with simple, humble, childlike faith. Thus, after we respond with our “Amen,” we are to consciously rest as we gently tilt back our head, open our mouth, and stick out our tongue, allowing the minister to do all the work of placing the Body of Christ on our tongue. In this way too, we grow in a sense of receptivity and trust, allowing the moment to be a true gift from God.
And before we can receive we need to atone for missing Public Masses. No Bishop or Priest has the right to cancel public Masses for any reason. Also we need to atone for worship the covid virus during Mass. No one should have complied with the Demonic Restrictions.
Finally, it Happened!!! I Had The Holy Eucharist in my Tongue!!! Thank You Very Much, Father Mark Mary. The Priest was very comforted and pleased with how I got The Holy Eucharist following exactly your Instructions on how to do it properly in This Video. Thank You Again.
What an excellent video. I cheered when I saw you reveal the plantain chips. What a great suggestion to practice with them… it adds tangibility. May God bless Fr. Mark-Mary! I will pray for you at the Divine Office. Please do pray for me.
Thank you so much for this!! I receive the Eucharist on the tongue and will definitely practice the closing of my eyes. I too would like to see a return of altar rails.
A little while ago a priest told us right before communion to let the priest do the work, just open your mouth. It’s kind of like a golf swing, you need the follow-through. He said, don’t move your head. So you just hold very still until it is fully placed. I think he MIGHT have said to us because at another church in the city a priest placed it on my tongue and it fell out! I think it was the second time! I said I would still have it but he gave me another one. I told him he could just give it to me on the hand. After mass he beckoned me over and looking so beautiful he said I could continue to receive it on the tongue, basically to not be afraid to. Cause I had been weeping ever since and I think he wanted reassure me. Btw I love this description of the Eucharist. He gets it. I love that he gets it and I wish the whole world would get it
I have a shorter tongue and always had to listen to "stick your tongue out more" as a kid. I loved being able to receive in my hand and I always lick my finger to get particles. I think both are valid and that is how Jesus fed his apostles and they did in the beginning.
Thank you! I always find the most "tricky" part is when I say "Amen" and then have to open my mouth etc. to receive. It sometimes feels a bit rushed, but overall I love receiving kneeling on the tongue rather than standing in the hand.
Thank you Father. Since Covid we received only in our hand but in the last year we resumed on the tongue. It’s been stressful fumbling so I sadly resorted to taking in my hand. This video was a great help. God bless and keep you safe. 🌷
Barbara, let Father’s helpful hints give you the strength to go back to receiving the Lord on the tongue. You will feel the difference. The Holy Spirit will be with you.
Parishes around me have used Covid to set a precedent to never go back to allowing receiving on the tongue. I travel an hour each way to go to a parish that does allow it. Thank you Father, for this wonderful video. I will get better at it!
There are videos on UA-cam that argue very well that reception on the tongue is more safe than reception in the hand. Don’t let anyone convince you that reception in the hand is more safe.
It's really nice that you putting out this for the people that have never done it me myself and I kneel before our Lord and receive the Eucharist on my tongue and have my whole life
Only consecrated hands should touch the Body of Christ, He is really present in that host: Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. When Jesus resurrected He told Mary Magdalene not to touch Him, however He told Thomas to touch his side, Thomas was consecrated as a priest during the Last Supper, so he could touch His body, the same is for all priests. He gave up His Body in the Holy Cross to give us salvation and we are given this sacred gift of love from Our Lord, to be part of His body, so we have to receive Him with the most reverence and grateful hearts as the King of Kings deserves.
Incorrect. Jesus told Mary Magdalene to not “hold on” to Him, not to not touch Him. Jesus touched lepers and the sick of all kinds and the dead and horrible sinners; He broke all sorts of taboos and religious rules by touching people; of course He’s okay with us touching Him. Besides, there’s nothing that makes the tongue more holy than the hands and nobody’s tongue is consecrated.
@Glenn Herron I don't recognise the feelings you describe. The Eucharist is a holy event that brings us close to God. The presence of the Holy Spirit should accompany this holy occasion. It's unfortunate that there should be a discussions about how to receive the symbols of Lord Jesus at this event, but these are in innovations by the Church that detract from the Lord's Supper or Holy Communion.
@Glenn Herron You cannot be a 'free range' Christian! There is no precedence in the history of the Christian Church! A Christian is always part of a community of believers! I suspect you are an 'Internet Christian' who goes around trying to prove certain churches are wrong.
When I was a kid, we learned how to receive Holy Communion on our tongue while kneeling at the alter. It has always felt strange to me to be standing and accept Communion in our hands. I very rarely accepted Communion in my palms, as it always felt wrong to me. I wish we could go back to the old ways. 🙏
When I was a kid growing up in the bay area I would stand and the priest would put it in my mouth. When we moved to Sacramento, I would stand and the priest would put it in my hand and I would sit back down then eat it. Now I'm 48 living in Modesto and it seems the people at the new church I attend bow at the altar, say Amen, receive it in the hands and eat it on the spot. So, I just followed what they did the last three times I went to mass. But today I did the same but put the wafer in my mouth after turning away to return to my seat and a lady at the altar ran up to me in a panic and asked if I put it in my mouth. She saw me munching then ran back over to the priest. I don't know, I just thought that was weird. Unless I did something really wrong, but it seems to be different in certain areas? Or different churches?
@@serpentsepia6638 The Real Presence, Holy Communion, is used in satanic rituals. And the easiest way to get it is to pose as a communicant, but not consume it. Most likely the cause for the 'alter lady's' concern that you had not consumed it. This is why every church should return to only distributing Holy Communion on the tongue, preferably while kneeling. We need to return to honoring and respecting Holy Communion.
@@serpentsepia6638 I think that lady just didn't want the eucharist to end up somewhere else because there's been instances when hosts were places where they shouldn't be, like a bathroom floor.
I am 53 years old, so I am at the age where I was taught to receive on the tongue, and then very suddenly, we weren't doing that anymore, and the nuns were re-teaching us to receive in the hand. Some of them definitely didn't like it. (I remember practicing before first communion, on the playground, with Ritz crackers. My mom still remembers practicing with Necco Wafers!) But now, I have a very hard time wrapping my brain around receiving on the tongue without an altar rail and paten. I truly appreciate this video as a "refresher course."
Thank you for sharing these tips! Over the past year, I've experienced an increasing conviction to receive on the tongue (and now receive exclusively on the tongue). Being a revert, my process of learning how to do it included a lot of guesswork. This video bolsters my confidence tons!
Hundreds of Catholics in our parish desire to receive Holy Communion in our tongues. BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT ALL OF THE PRIESTS IN OUR PARISH REFUSE TO PLACE THE HOLY HOST ON OUR TONGUES DUE TO COVID19 VIRUS. I LIVE HERE IN CEBU ISLAND, PHILIPPINES. PLEASE HELP US AND COMMUNICATE TO ALL OF OUR FILIPINO BISHOPS TO GO BACK TO THE OPTION OF GIVING HOLY COMMUNION ON THE TONGUES.
Praying for ALL our brothers & sisters in Christ in the Philippines that the Shepherds assigned to your parish DO NOT DENY you receiving our LORD in the most reverent & respectful way. Pray for your priest to be obedient, faithful & courageous in knowing that the Eucharist is TRULY GOD that they should NOT FEAR that receiving GOD will cause sickness to those who faithfully want to receive GOD.
The priests are correct in not putting germs into your mouths! Your superstitious minds are filled with extreme sacramentalism! Instead of following the dark ages superstitions, why don't you learn what it means to be a Christian?
This is super helpful! I am having my first communion tonight & feel very strongly drawn to receive kneeling on the tongue so thank you for this video. God bless you.
Thank you Father, I Entered into the faith as a middle aged adult, I usually receive in the hand, purely because I feel so awkward trying to receive on the tongue. I feel vulnerable, it feels strange opening my mouth that way, I appreciate you giving instruction. Maybe with practice I can overcome my fears.
I'm glad Fr Mark made this video. I didn't grow up receiving on the tongue and felt a lot of pressure from people telling me to do it when I didn't know how which wasn't really fair at the times. The tips are definitely helpful because I like receive on the tongue for greater reverence for Our Lord but I also don't want to cause the priest any issues. I've definitely had issues with having to grab the Host with my lips unfortunately and also accidentally touching the priests fingers
Once I'm able to Receive again I'm going to discuss it with my Priest before. I'm nervous about it, but I have so much respect for our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. I really wish I'd understood when I was a kid. I never would have left The Church.
Thank you so much Father Mark Mary! This has made Communion more intimate for me. Closing the eyes is a game changer, it adds an extra dose of surrender!
I remember a extraordinary Eucharistic minister yelling at me to “stick out your tongue !” This was when I first started receiving on the tongue. I never forgot that and will make sure that my tongue is sticking way out!
I know the plate or paten under the chin is not an ancient practice, but it gives you so much confidence to let go and receive in a childlike manner. But only the latin mass uses the paten.
Thank you Father for the great tips! I do receive the precious Host on the tongue and I was thankful for this video. I never thought about it before, but actually practicing giving/receiving with a cracker or some small round food will be so beneficial.
I made my First Communion in the 1960s and have always received on the tongue (tried several times by hand but felt uncomfortable). Receiving this way is very natural except when I startle a Eucharistic Minister who has been distributing in the hand - and they notice my hands are not out - and I can tell they don't particularly like distributing on the tongue and I feel their anxiety. They need lessons too (LOL) since while I extend my tongue in an easy access way, they sometimes don't do a good job. I also look down with a EM because sometimes they hold up the Host for me to look at, but I have no desire to catch their eye which would happen. Some may be trained that way but I don't care for it, so lowered eyes. Receiving our Savior is the most important thing we do so it's important to feel comfortable about it so I pray many here eventually get there.
I also am a bit anxious when receiving communion by the tongue from a EM. This past week, the EM held up 2 hosts because my husband and I always stand side-by-side while receiving. I had to touch my chin to show her I receive by mouth and then she preceded to place 1 of the hosts (awkwardly) on my tongue while still holding the other in the same hand. We attend a morning mass at another church when our parish does not have mass that day, and the priest told us (beforehand) that he does not look directly at us while we are receiving, and the reason is because (he said)" it is between you and Jesus. I keep myself out of it". I liked that explanation.
Thank you so much for this video 🙏 I've started to have the desire to receive Communion on the tongue, and I did it once but I definitely didn't open my mouth enough. It makes me very nervous, but practicing is a good idea.

I kneel and receive on the tongue and this was helpful to be aware of kneeling the right distance frim the priest and conscious not moving with the eyes closed
It's weird in UK, perhaps it's another church style with the Anglican or it's me, they have it in their hands, I've never seen this before? It's a blessing to close ones eyes and have that communion, connection with the father as it touches with the tongue. It reminds me of when I was a girl and loved being good to the lord. Now, that I'm more of an adult, wish to live near the cathedral of St Paul to just reunite and not think about it, even do I'm the only one whom brings reverence in the gate or entrance while everyone is passing by and still, I do miss the everyone feeling the same sense. That beauty, it gives me such an energy, this gesture are innate as we're to one another. Thank you, it's so nice listening to the details from the other side.
Great teaching Father! I started taking Holy Communion only kneeling and on the tongue and at first it was awkward because like you said, we’re not really taught how to do it that way. And so I thought well, it’ll get better, I’ll get used to it and get better at it and it will feel less awkward. But it didn’t get less awkward and what I realized is that that is okay! So many things about being a follower of Jesus Christ and staying true to His mission and what He wills for us involves a LOT of awkwardness. So this one thing - as insignificant as it may seem to others becomes so huge because it is the literal body, blood, soul and divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ and awkward or not, I’ll receive Him the most reverent way possible. He is worth it. 💕
I relate to this so much! I still feel awkward. It gets better but if there is ever a visiting priest, or I am visiting a different parish, I get so nervous. It's worth it though!
I love taking the Eucharist on the tongue because then I don't contaminate Him with my hands. With Covid, losing the ability to do that really stunk (and when there was that brief period with the initial vaccines, I happily received on the tongue and took the cup for my wedding ceremony during that time). That being said, I think that a person shouldn't take on the tongue if they are sick (the same way that it is not a good idea to take the cup if you are sick).
@Glenn Herron Obviously you don't contaminate Him no matter what. It's more of an emotional thing for me (admittedly caused by one Mass where I accidentally splashed gasoline on my hands right beforehand and I felt that would be gross to take the Eucharist in my gasoline hands). Straight from the consecration to my mouth sort of thing.
@Glenn Herron I never said I kneel so I'm not sure why you asked that (I personally feel kneeling is overkill but that's just me). I just gave my opinion on why I like to receive on the tongue. I'm not saying nor should anyone else say you *must* take on the tongue. You're commenting on a video where a priest demonstrates how to do it for people who want to do it. Maybe ask him your question. I'm sure he'd love to answer your question and discuss it with you.
@@hopefull61256 I don't mean contaminate in terms of germs. Maybe interference would be a better word? I just prefer it straight from the consecration to my mouth.
Thank you Fr Mark Mary. This video was just so timely. 9 months ago it didn't really matter to me and I likely skipped over it. But today it showed up in my email when I needed it. I have started receiving on the tongue and it can be very unnerving as I have noticed sometimes even the priest seems nervous or that he had rather not so I am so happy to get some tops and practice to be able to do it better. Thank you for going through when kneeling as well because I have been receiving kneeling. Tomorrow I will definitely feel more confident when I go for mass. I am so thankful for having received this video today. 9 months later. I watch your videos weekly on ascension but somehow never watched this one before. And actually it didn't apply to me 9 months ago. You are a blessing and God bless you and all the Fransiscans.
I just found a video yesterday on whether receiving Holy Communion was appropriate. And of course it is, as it's allowed by the Church, but I had never heard of receiving the Eucharist on the tongue or why you would. After that video I desired to receive the Eucharist on the tongue but had some anxiety about how to do it exactly. Then this video comes out the next day to answer my questions. What a blessing. Thank you!
Besides not being consecrated, people's hands are not clean: we open the church doors, touch the pews and missals, and shake hand with others, and then touch Jesus?
This explanation by Father was helpful, but your comment isn't although you meant it to be. Maybe your hands aren't clean, but don't you know that so many people disinfect their hands while seated in the pews before receiving the Eucharist? We also continue to use antiseptic when we enter the church/Mass anyway. Do you really believe our mouths are cleaner than our hands-unless of course maybe you brush your teeth and gargle before attending Mass? Does our Lord believe one is holier than the other when he created us, and he doesn't create junk? How about we all just enter into the mystery of the Mass and the Eucharist and treasure the love our Lord has for us?
Thank you Father for this video on how to receive communion in the tongue. I always feel like I'm struggling when I take communion in the tongue. One time the host actually fell down to the ground from my tongue. Ever since that moment I've been very nervous taking communion in the town, but I do it anyway. Again, thanks for this video. This really helps.
I am a cradle Catholic and before Covid always received Our Lord on the tongue. I am also a baby boomer who was formed around only receiving it in the tongue. Never thought the recent generation would be so removed on the practice. Anything in reception that has fewer mechanics is much more reverent. This Is MY Body, and Our Lord in persona Christie places it on my tongue is remarkable
Thank you Fr. Mark Mary. Your demonstration and explanation has been so helpful. I received the Holy Eucharist on the tongue last Sunday after watching your video. It had been many years since I have received the Holy Eucharist on the tongue and I was very nervous. Your video gave me the confidence I needed! God bless you!

Had not been to mass in a while and after a solid confession I went but I clean forgot and kind of grabbed the Eucharist :( The reverence I felt was undeniable as I approached and received but now I know.
I get anxiety over this topic. My church we only have communion on the tongue but I feel I wasn't doing it right and one of the deacons even looks at me funny when he gets to me. Which makes me feel even more😱
Definitely appreciate this video as someone who needed content just like this when entering the Church. It is such an unusual activity to participate in, especially for someone coming from a totally non-Catholic background, that one can feel really self-conscious about it. Like, I still struggle to reconcile this posture as the most 'reverent' (not disputing anyone about it though), purely because my only cultural parallel is being a little kid sticking my tongue out at someone to say "Nyah nyah!" I just didn't grow up around people bedridden and needing to be fed, for example, so the act of one person feeding another, and how to go about that... Anyhow, thanks for your humility in modelling for the camera. I appreciate that you entering into the self-consciousness of so many of us!
Fantastic suggestions! I particularly like the suggestion to tilt your head back a little. As a Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion, having the recipient tilt their head back a little makes it much easier to deliver the Eucharist. As someone that prefers to receive via the tongue, I'll make sure to remember to tilt my own head back. Thank you very much for sharing!
Today I dropped the Eucharist from my tongue - I was receiving while standing. I tried to kneel and take the host with the tongue alone, licking the church floor didn’t work, so I quickly took it with my hands and consumed it, on the brink of tears. I was first in line, so I was humiliated in front of my entire parish. But this experience shew to myself how important I feel communion to be. Thanks to your brilliant video, I hope this horrible experience will never happen again.
It happened to me too, at school once in front of all my students and colleagues. Even after doing it hundreds of times. I started partially because as EMHC I have seen much more dropped hosts in the hand! I still receive in the hand from some EMHCs that I know sre uncomfortable, similarly the palm has to be flat and still. I feel awful about it too but accidents do happen. It really shoes as Fr stated in the video of Jesus' love and humility-- and perhaps God used the embarassing moment to increase mine.
I just started receiving the Eucharist on the tongue at the beginning of this year, so I thank you for this video because I was doing these things, but I wasn't sure if it was the right way to do it
Priests need to be mindful too! I have had many awkward communion moments because the priest was just rushing or not paying attention. When receiving on the tongue it needs to be slow, deliberate and reverent for priest and receiver - every time!
This is such a good video. My son is autistic and made his 1st communion last month. He keeps wanting to receive communion on his tongue, but he's been struggling. We are going to do what you suggest and practice! I feel like this is a very simple thing to think of, but for some reason it wasn't until you mentioned it, I didn't think about it. Thank you Father for the help!!
Thanks so much. I am a revert and I have been receiving in the hand for so many years. But lately I have tried to receive on the tongue after reading "The Holy Bread of Eternal Life: Restoring Eucharistic Reverence in an age of Impiety" by Peter Kwasniewski. Sometimes I am refused to receive on the tongue and some Eucharistic ministers aren't used to it so they shake and have a hard time giving the host on the tongue. I will try to stick out my tongue so they have an easier time giving on the tongue. Wish me luck
Great video, Father, and especially timely considering the Eucharistic Revival going on. I'm a convert, and my pastor instructed me just like you did. He said to receive like the baby birds from the mama bird.
This was great!! Although I don't think we have that option yet in our diocese - I did practice along with you. Brought back so many memories growing up in the 50s and 60s. I know Jesus gave the host to some saints in the hand as well as the original apostles - so I don't think it matters the way you receive it as it does how the individual receives it. Receiving it on the tongue irreverently or casually is certainly not as good as receiving it by the hand with love and respect.
You do have the option to receive on the tongue. It is unlawful to not permit reception on the tongue, whereas it IS lawful to abrogate reception in the hands.
In about an hour I'm about to be confirmed and receive the Blessed Sacrament. I'm going to receive on the tongue.
Make sure you are confirmed by the Bishop. Only the Bishop can confirm a person into the Catholic Church.
Don’t do this it’s perversion, nowhere is this practice found in the bible. Don’t kneel to men.

Thank you, I've had such a desire recently to practice this. I'll admit I've been afraid to, I feel very alone and have met nothing but disdain and opposition to my growth in faith by all who are close to me. Pls pray for me that I overcome these fears
I will pray for you brother.
Don’t do this, it’s perversion. Nothing like this is found in the bible. Don’t kneel to humans.
I just received Holy Communion on the tongue today for the time ever!!! Yay 😀
I was in mass this evening and this very thought crossed my mind
Wonderful!
At the Latin Mass at least, there is no Amen or practice of making the sign of the cross
@@iampattyb there is an « Amen », but the priest is the one who says it 🙂
You set the pace. Just choose not to be rushed.
@@salal98110 I do the same. An hour and ten minutes each way….
@Barbara Bain Same here! Helpful msg🙏
There are videos on UA-cam that argue very well that reception on the tongue is more safe than reception in the hand. Don’t let anyone convince you that reception in the hand is more safe.
Thank you for humbling yourself to provide this practical model and accompanying explanations. It’s all for His Glory and In His Service.
Kneel down, CLOSE YOUR EYES, tilt back your head, open your mouth and stick out your tongue.
Become childlike.
Don’t forget to swallow what the priest puts in your mouth. Spitters are sinners against God my priest would always say
@Glenn Herron Nowhere! It's an innovation!
@Glenn Herron What is your Christian denomination?
@Glenn Herron You cannot be a 'free range' Christian! There is no precedence in the history of the Christian Church! A Christian is always part of a community of believers! I suspect you are an 'Internet Christian' who goes around trying to prove certain churches are wrong.
Thanks!
Thank you for your support!
Actually, I am a craddle catholic, and this was very helpful, so not only for beginners!
I wish we would too
Kneeling and on the tongue.
Thank you Fr Mark-Mary very helpful tips
God bless
Thank you Fr. Mark, very helpful.
I am always uncomfortable receiving on the tongue but desire it at times!
God bless you, Father. You have truly blessed me with this video!
Thank you for your teaching … I love when you said ”somos peregrinos, poco a poco vamos a llegar”
Heart of Mary, Mother of the Word made Flesh, pray for us +
This was incredibly helpful!! Thank you!!
I remember a extraordinary Eucharistic minister yelling at me to “stick out your tongue !” This was when I first started receiving on the tongue. I never forgot that and will make sure that my tongue is sticking way out!
Always receive from a priest.
Closing the eyes at the same time as opening the mouth and sticking out the tongue helps to focus on Who we are receiving.
I actually had this very question on Sunday. Thank you! Now I know and feel more comfortable
i just starting kneeling and presenting my tongue for Communion, and WOW, is it powerful!!! God Bless!
Thank you so much for this video 🙏 I've started to have the desire to receive Communion on the tongue, and I did it once but I definitely didn't open my mouth enough. It makes me very nervous, but practicing is a good idea.
We are so glad that you liked the video!
Thank you, this was very helpful…God bless you!! 🙏
We are so glad that you found this video helpful, Jennifer!
As a liturgically conscientious Lutheran who wants to start receiving the Sacrament of the Altar on the tongue, I appreciate your helpful advice!
Thank you Father! 💕 this is very helpful and informative.🙏God bless you!💖
A blessing from God ♥️
Revelation 1 KJV
3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
Thank you! Great tips, and well put reason for practicing : the human component then can be minimized and the Spiritual experience deepened increased!
I didn’t know what was slightly off and now i know to tilt my head back. Thank you so much for addressing this important topic ❤️
I kneel and receive on the tongue and this was helpful to be aware of kneeling the right distance frim the priest and conscious not moving with the eyes closed
Thank you! God Bless you Fr. Mark
thank you, Father for this very simple explanation
Thank you for this video Father! Appreciate it so much. God bless you! 🙏🏼✝️🙏🏼
Unfortunately, some people just don’t care.
Your mouth/tounge contains way more bacteria than your hands.
You father to show us to love Jesus ✝️🛐
So happy to see a video about this!!
Thanks for making this video, Father
Yes! Finally the practical guide! I was wondering about all of this. And it’s hard to find such a clear and practical details. Thank you so much!!!
You are sent by God doing this video. You hit it on the nail!! I have been wanting to take communion this way but was never taught how.
Thanks so much for the tips, Fr Mark!
Thank you Father!
Often the simple and practical tidbits are so needed. Thank you!
Thank you Fr. Mark-Mary ☺️🙏🏻 That is great advice! I myself never tried... but I want to do it now! I appreciate yout good and practical tips 😊❤️

Very helpful, Father; you’re a great teacher!
I just started receiving the Eucharist on the tongue at the beginning of this year, so I thank you for this video because I was doing these things, but I wasn't sure if it was the right way to do it
was looking for exactly this, thanks for making it
Thank you for this video! I’m feeling called to receive on the tongue, but I don’t really know how and was afraid to ask someone. ❤️
Priests need to be mindful too! I have had many awkward communion moments because the priest was just rushing or not paying attention. When receiving on the tongue it needs to be slow, deliberate and reverent for priest and receiver - every time!
THANK YOU!
We are so glad that you enjoyed this video, Steven!
Thank you God bless
Thank you.
Wish priests would stop rushing us as if they don't care.
Yes bring our Holy Communion rails back.
Thank you so much for this video ❤
Thank you. This is very helpful. Thank you, Fr.
Thank you for this. I am wanting to start this practice, but have never been taught.
Kneeling and on the tongue especially love traditional Latin mass 🙏❤💕
Thank you Fr. Mark for the very helpful direction for those who want to return to Communion on the tongue.
I feel like I sometimes confuse the priest or Eucharistic minister by how I try to receive. Glad for the help!
Great video, Father, and especially timely considering the Eucharistic Revival going on. I'm a convert, and my pastor instructed me just like you did. He said to receive like the baby birds from the mama bird.
What Eucharistic Revival are you talking about?
Amen
Very helpful! Thank you!!!
We are so glad that you liked the video, Holly!
