Softronic TransMontana homologation tests in Bulgaria

A part of the homologation tests of Softronic Transmontana 48 0019-5 in Bulgaria. This is a part from the first day of the tests with "Rödluvan" loco, held around Sofia and on the Sub-Balkan railway line near Zlatitsa and Pirdop stations. BRC loco 87 012 is a helper engine for the tests, only to simulate a weight of a train, by applying a rheostatic brake.

Yes, after these tests it was approved for operation on the railway network in Bulgaria.

look at the size comparison between the old and the new... Probably double the hp.

BRC 87 it's BoBo , it has 3,700 kW while Softronic Transmontana (CFR Class 48) has 6600 kW and it's CoCo.
