Nightwing always been a little humorous in his dialogue. Not to the extent of Deadpool, but like a toned down Spider-Man. He’s very light hearted. Not saying he doesn’t take situations seriously, but he still makes jokes while under pressure.
Yes Nightwing was terrible in this game Knight kinda ruined Nightwing in the Arkham-Verse Dick is supposed be Light-Hearted, Witty, Badass guy and he was very boring and didn’t say anything and he should of been with Barbara but that’s besides the point
The Red Hood DLC was shamefully short. Could've used so much more in that DLC. This is why I fiend on Witcher 3 and love the DLC in there. It offers a game within a game.
All AK dlc was pretty shamefully short other than a matter of family however they were quite cheap and reasonably priced so it wasnt to much of bummer apart from for the people who bought the overpriced season pass

I've gotta be honest, I thought Nighwing's dialogue was his strongest point. It was the only bit of quality that his story DLC really lended. Now, the dialogue in Robin's... it gives me a migraine just thinking about how bad the writing and delivery is lol

I think the whole nightwing and penguin thing is more or less and indirect kind of thing with penguin transporting the weapons affecting bludhaven as well, so him breaking out would re create the weapon selling
Being that they're using characters from comics, It's all about archetypes, totems, foils, etc. Penguin is the second most famous Gotham City villain, and (obviously) he's bird-themed. Nightwing was the original Robin, a faithful sidekick. It's only natural if writers create a rivalry between a couple of second-fiddle, bird-themed characters. That being said, though, I gotta ask what these commentators are talking about. So Nightwing tracks the Penguin's gun-running operation, then later monitors the feathered fiend's activities behind bars. So what? He'd do that with any villainous case he caught. Contrariwise, the penguin would moan and jeer at any busybody vigilante he doesn't consider his equal. And I don't recall these two characters saying word one about each other in Arkham City. So what rivalry are we actually analyzing, here?
GCPD Lockdown introduced the Remote Electric Charge to his arsenal, Nightwing as a separate character in challenge maps (he's only playable in a dual-play map) and two additional challenge maps ripped from the two areas of DLC. In that dual-play map from vanilla, Nightwing doesn't have his REC Flip of a Coin also introduced challenge maps ripped from the DLC, as well as the Catwoman DLC.
One thing I’m thankful for in regards to GCPD lockdown is the large-ass police department predator map. It’s maybe my favourite predator map in AK, and one of my favourite in the entire series.
I really loved Harley Quinn’s DLC from Arkham Knight. True it could’ve been longer, but it was fun murdering the cops and kicking Nightwing’s ass. The AK DLC packs are like $2 each now btw

City only gave me Harley Quinn’s Revenge which was very fun but still I would’ve got yours. Then again I wouldn’t because I already have Arkham Knight lol
I don't think the "Dem Bones" one is completely fair. All of Arkham Asylum's DLC was 100% free. And the Dem Bones add-on was just a pre-order early-access anyway. For a completely free combat challenge, it was just fine.
Really surprised Batmobile skins aren't on this list, considering some of those don't have tank mode, which is necessary for like, half of the game. Really that's probably why they put so much into races since that's the only place you can use them.
I actually liked the different racetracks, getting to drive around the 60s Batcave set in the 60s Batmobile was really fun, same with the Burton inspired track and Batmobile
The Waynetech Racetracks are really good surprisingly b/c they teach you how to drive properly with the weird handling in this game (i.e. tighter cornering)
I love their whole catalog, I've listened to most of what I could find with Layne in the band. I've listened to the three with William, but Layne was where it was at for me.
Not sure if im misremembering but I'm pretty sure once you finish the robin and nightwing dlcs in Knight you unlock challenge map versions of the encounters in the dlcs.
I do like that the nightwing dlc is the day after, which means it’s one of the furthest in the timeline thing you can play (with the other knight dlcs) and it was during an all new time of day with a cool layout of GCPD.
I don't understand all the hate for the Arkham Knight DLC. When City's DLC only had two story DLC's and the rest were challenge maps. Sure Arkham Knights DLC has it's problems but it's way more content than City's. And people forget to mention that City's DLC was also over 40 dollars.
I have an issue with most DLC 90% of all of it for every game out there is stuff that should be in the games at launch but developers leave out so they can charge you more for an incomplete product
While I've never understood the "Who asked for this?" mentality (you never know - it might be good), the Batmobile racetracks are the closest I've come to agreeing with it.

I think Nightwing's DLC should've been in Blüdhaven and that you would fight Blockbuster who is actually Nightwing's Joker in comics. He's a mob boss and is super strong. But that they would've done it like that to expand this universe and Nightwing. Plus seeing some more villains is always fun. Also about people hating the entire Tim and Barbara thing. In this universe in it's canon lore Dick and Barbara used to date but they broke up. So for the Nightwing and Batgirl shippers. It happend. Get over it. I don't hate the Tim and Barbara thing but i don't like it either. It doesn't bother me. Also i'm pretty sure that the Nightwings, Robin, Harley and Red hood DLC's costed only 1 dollar and that the Batgirl and Catwoman DLC's costed 5 dollars.
The racetracks became necessary dlc additions the moment they decided not to include battle mode in the Batmobile skins. No matter how much you love any of the skins, they just aren't viable in the main game because of that, locking you out of most of the missions. So to give you something to do with them they added racetracks, and not just any racetracks, but ones lovingly crafted which pay great homage to their respective movies. And as far as I'm concerned, it's the next best thing.
I was really excited, the Scarecrow fear DLC was made to sound like this big exclusive, I thought it would be like the opening was or at least like the Scarecrow bits of Asylum, but nope it’s just a racetrack.
I ran out of patience and quit caring after 15 minutes of racing. The cars handle terribly it's like driving back in the first burnout so oh well if someone doesn't like my driving I basically went to sleep at the wheel.
Have you heard the theory where Jason died in the asylum by joker secretly but when ras al ghul gets out of the mint morgue place with his foot sticking out he felt bad for batman and even Jason so he resurrected him and sometimes the Lazarus pit makes people full of fear or anger which makes sense why Jason is so mad at batman and he was forced to hate batman by joker so the Lazarus effect also explains why he abandoned the original plan with scarecrow to kill batman ( my fingers are tired

The one that should have been Nightwings enemy in AK is Deathstroke. Seeing how in the comics Deathstroke is mainly a Nightwing villain. I know Deathstroke also has fought Batman several times in the comics. So switching one of Batmans enemies to Nightwings was strange. Unless they were enemies in the comics for the last 22 years. Idk because I haven't read the comics in all that time. To me it felt off like their rivalry was forced.
Deathstroke DLC for Arkham origins. All it was basically him being used for challenge maps. We didn''t even get to have him be part of the story like Catwoman (Arkham City) or have his own story DLC like Nightwing and Robin (Arkham Knight).
Don't forget the worst thing about GCPD Lockdown in that it broke your main game file when it was first released. It made it so the file always opened up GCPD Lockdown instead of the main world.

The best thing to come out of the racetracks is the 1960's Batman model standing next to the 1960's Batmobile model. Because of this, modders were able to give PC players the otherwise PS4 exclusive 1960's Batsuit.

Yeah I have to agree with the Nightwing DLC part cause Nightwing to me didn't really feel that funny and the environment is kinda bland to me cause it's just Gotham in daylight just a bit of an overcast over it. Plus, the DLC didn't feel all the exciting in terms of story like it's just beating up Penguin's goons then arresting Penguin.
I think a "What Wolverine did right/wrong" videos would be a good idea showing people that game cause it is good and probably the best game for the Clawed Canadian and its good more people get into it cause it is so much fun!!
I feel like if they took GCPD lockdown and took out nightwing and put in someone like blue beetle which his move set would work. It would have his blasters as sort of a ranged weapon like Jason’s duel handguns and made the map more combat focus than predator focus the dialogue would be still annoying but it would make more sense since he’s a less serious hero than all of the bat family who aren’t usually telling jokes.

On Batgirl's relationships: popular opinion about them is entirely a side subject. Complain about them if you want to, or applaud them if you want to. Can we make sense of them, though? That's the key thing. Remember the animated killing joke movie in which Brian Azarello gave her a little horizontal time on a rooftop with Batman. The case that this kiiiiiiiiinda made sense: being his groupie was part of her origin story. In all the stories in which she's acting like his employee and not his side piece, it's because she's got her crush on him under control. Also, I don't think there's anything in the comic that said this sex scene couldn't have happened between panels. It only falls apart because it seems out of character for Bruce to go for her. As for Tim being her favorite Robin in AK, not even the multiverse explains it. The timeline of the first two games appears consistent with the comics in general. That means she's got a career and a half under her belt and he's practically still a rookie. They'd be an intellectual match for one another, sure! Mutual attraction, though? They'd have to be poster models for anti-abilism and anti-agism. With Nightwing, it works in that he and Barbara hit it off as teenagers, yet he's still there for her much later after she's almost killed and her life is forever changed. Before Tim and Barbara became an item, though, she must have already been crippled. Do we have a source on their age difference? If not, let's be kind and estimate that he's old enough to drink and she's only 10 years older. In the real world, does anyone know cases of young men who go for older women in wheelchairs?
I would’ve found it cool if Knight had another Joker challenge map like Asylum did. Especially since there’s a whole segment in the story where you play as Joker and can actually murder people, but that’s just me
penguin and nightwing show a rivalry because penguin has a big role to play in the crime in blüdhaven because he owns a company that is a front for him smuggling things from/to gotham so he can boost his authority in the crime bussiness.
Will you ever do a top 5 or 10 villains list for Batman because I’m always interested to hear other people’s opinion on who their favorite Batman villain. Like mine is killer croc or firefly. I just think their designs and how they show up in Arkham games are really awesome especially the bridge boss fight with firefly and the sewer section with croc in asylum the only time I was I was scared playing as Batman. Anyway great and I can’t wait for next one.
I agree with one exception Red Hood dlc. It was a lot of fun but way too short. For me Red Hood's dlc is the worst. Batgirl's is the most fun and had more to it.
I would have put the GCPD lockdown above flip of a coin, simply because, there was at least clearly a little bit more effort put into that from the art team and creating new locations, whereas Lockdown literally just had one small blüdhaven location and then the roof of the GCPD. Also, I actually kind of enjoyed the race tracks in Arkham Knight, definitely not what I was expecting or I would have ever asked for, but compared to something like GCPD Lockdown, I generally had more fun haha
In my opinion “dem bones” should be above the nightwing and robin dlc because at least they had a mini story and “dem bones” was just another fighting map that sucked. Also I would switch the robin one with the catwoman because that final act sucked in my opinion.

The one that should have been Nightwings enemy in AK is Deathstroke. Seeing how in the comics Deathstroke is mainly a Nightwing villain. I know Deathstroke also has fought Batman several times in the comics. So switching one of Batmans enemies to Nightwings was strange. Unless they were enemies in the comics for the last 22 years. Idk because I haven't read the comics in all that time. To me it felt off like their rivalry was forced.

Don't forget the worst thing about GCPD Lockdown in that it broke your main game file when it was first released. It made it so the file always opened up GCPD Lockdown instead of the main world.

The best thing to come out of the racetracks is the 1960's Batman model standing next to the 1960's Batmobile model. Because of this, modders were able to give PC players the otherwise PS4 exclusive 1960's Batsuit.

It’s implied that penguin hides out in Blüdhaven when heat is too much for him in Gotham I believe. Nightwing is my favorite in batman universe so I don’t mind G.C.P.D. lockup even though it’s not very good. I just like getting playtime as nightwing

Yeah I have to agree with the Nightwing DLC part cause Nightwing to me didn't really feel that funny and the environment is kinda bland to me cause it's just Gotham in daylight just a bit of an overcast over it. Plus, the DLC didn't feel all the exciting in terms of story like it's just beating up Penguin's goons then arresting Penguin.
I think a "What Wolverine did right/wrong" videos would be a good idea showing people that game cause it is good and probably the best game for the Clawed Canadian and its good more people get into it cause it is so much fun!!

I feel like if they took GCPD lockdown and took out nightwing and put in someone like blue beetle which his move set would work. It would have his blasters as sort of a ranged weapon like Jason’s duel handguns and made the map more combat focus than predator focus the dialogue would be still annoying but it would make more sense since he’s a less serious hero than all of the bat family who aren’t usually telling jokes.

Its because the weapons penguin is moving in the side missions are transported to and from bludhaven where nightwing is based so nightwing stops all of penguins weapons flow so it's not really a rivalry that's why they don't emphasise it

Will you ever do a top 5 or 10 villains list for Batman because I’m always interested to hear other people’s opinion on who their favorite Batman villain. Like mine is killer croc or firefly. I just think their designs and how they show up in Arkham games are really awesome especially the bridge boss fight with firefly and the sewer section with croc in asylum the only time I was I was scared playing as Batman. Anyway great and I can’t wait for next one.

I would have put the GCPD lockdown above flip of a coin, simply because, there was at least clearly a little bit more effort put into that from the art team and creating new locations, whereas Lockdown literally just had one small blüdhaven location and then the roof of the GCPD.
Also, I actually kind of enjoyed the race tracks in Arkham Knight, definitely not what I was expecting or I would have ever asked for, but compared to something like GCPD Lockdown, I generally had more fun haha
