I finished watching dark a few days ago, first I regret this: not paying attention to my German lessons in primary school and middle school and then having this MASTERPIECE on my watch list since 2018. I can't find the right words to describe how much I love and adore this show. Every single of my brain cells is gone to understand the amazing and WOAH WTF plot of this show. And did I really recommend this show to like four or five people?yes and this is only the beginning. Everyone has to watch dark it so - ah, mind-blowing show. Every actor and actress and the people behind the show did excellent job! I need more masterpiece can't wait for the 1899 !
One of the best masterpiece in television series. Every revelation and maddening twists in the story, somehow feels a bit Lovecraftian for me. Not to mention being added with eerie musics in every episodes. Truly one of the best!
Y’know, I just realized that the universe of Dark is doomed to pain and suffering no matter what. If a guy invented time travel in a bunker in the 80s with limited technology, it won’t be long until some government or company does it… the universe is doomed to be ripped apart again and again creating all manner of Paradox worlds and poor souls like Jonas and Martha who have to try to put it right. Who knows how many times the universe has already been split apart and fixed by the time of the dinner party in the finale. In a universe where time travel is possible, that means that it has always existed and always will and you can’t stop it from existing at some point.
I’m still hungry for this kind of series if i re-watch this series all the twists I already know and already no surprises in terms of mind-bending twists. This is my favorite show that I put number one in my life it is unique and different, thank you for producing this series 🙏🏻

Not really. Jonas and Martha saved his family, but they do only exist because of the family died. So because they didn't die, Tannhaus did not invent the time machine, Jonas and Martha are not created and can't safe his family. We have another last paradoxon here. Tannhaus lives in an alternate reality, he has created by himself, but he will never know. In the real world he still lost his family, otherwise Jonas and Martha couldn't safe them and Tannhaus couldn't create an alternate universe.
I expected many of this like the stranger to be Jonas , Adam to be Jonas, I expected Martha to say : the question isn't what time but what world, but the huge expectation for me was that Elizabeth will be Charlotte's mother even tho I didn't get it then (after all the twists I was like don't tell me that Charlotte's mother is her own daughter?)
I just realized Noah's mother-in-law is his own daughter.. I thought his life was pitiful enough but imagine being doomed to love your mother-in-law like your own daughter.. wouldn't wish that upon anyone.

Watched this series with my girlfriend, she substituted me for another guy without telling me, just alienated herself from me forcing it to end. Re-watching the series is a major pain for my heart. Sigh.
Guys please suggest something along the lines of Dark. Something that contains Creepy, mystery, thriller, suspense, horror, elements of crime as well. I know its a tall order, but any good suggestions are welcome. Non english would also do.
it ended at the right time, when it was always planned to end and it achieved a complete and satisfying ending, this is better than draging out a show with filler plot more than it really is necessary
I've watched this show 3 times over and love it so much! I'm a huge time travel junkie. But can someone help me understand something about thr dichotomy of when Martha did, and did not, take Jonas before the apocalypse? I get the version in which she does and they both have a baby together in her world - the origin. But what I don't understand is in the version she doesn't save him and they don't bare "the origin" child, then how are Tronte, Ulrich, etc, born, if "The Origin" wasn't created - Alt Martha & Jonas never meet and have sex? What of this version that older "Stranger" Jonas never "remembers" being taken to Martha's Alt world? How was his lineage created if there was no "Origin" to impregnate Agnes and give birth to Tronte?
I actually don't want another season, because they ended the show perfectly. 3 worlds, 3 seasons. The story is already told. There's nothing left to write about. But the showrunners' (Baran Bo Odar and Jantje Friese) next project will be released this year. It's called 1899 and will deal with a group of European settlers on a ship to America. the mikkel/michael reveal is still my favourite. it was the first huge twist of the series that got me completely hooked. should def be included !

The biggest plot twist is that all time machines, outside the origin world, were not invented: the all just existed without an inventor!

Jonas and Martha have the child and then Martha splits into two realities. So both realities have the child in them.
