I have visited both the cars in person. Punch build quality is good but way below altroz/Nexon. On the other hand the kiger looks really premium and build quality didn't look bad at all. Punch would be the pick if not for its overpricing. The turbo engine of the kiger could be the deal breaker here
I recently bought Kiger RXZ Turbo CVT and i am really happy. Before buying I did a lot of research and took a thorough test drive of many cars like Breeza, XL6 and cars like Punch and Magnite too and the reason why i rejected them is because Punch is very disappointed for highway driving, overtaking is a real pain, NVH level is horrible (lot of outside vehicle noise filtering into the cabin), misses lot of essential features like arm rest, boot space and driving modes (though it has ECO and city), therefore Punch is good as a city car if you have any other good car for long drives. Magnite, however is good, but again misses important features like driving modes, suspension is quite stiff and to me it looks more like a hatchback than a compact sedan and Nissan service center is really a pain (while Renault is slightly better) While Kiger gives all practical and usable features, such as drive modes (sports mode in my turbo car is unbelievable specially for overtaking, really spot on), large arm rest, lots of usable space, large boot and a look of a compact SUV (Punch also looks epic and lovable i agree). cruise control is not very usable and safe in India as i feel and i donot miss it in my Kiger, as i know i wouldnt use it, evenif i had it. but people who love cruise control, may miss it absence in Kiger. As far as hill hold function is concerned, which is missing in Kiger but is available in Magnite, let me tell you that the L mode in the turbo CVT can take care of any steepest incline. I went to really bad hills and i was surprised to see how amazing the L mode is for the deadly inclines/slopes. Now coming to mileage, my car is 35 days old, 800 Kms driven as of now and mileage is 14 in city (Hyderabad) and 18 on highways and i am sure after i cross 5000km milestone...mileage should increase by 2 kms in city and 3 to 4 kms in highways (if driven not more than 110Km/h), also verified current mileage using tank to tank. Apart from Renault's service (which i am little worried about), I am super happy with my Kiger, specially the way it drives. This is being my only car, i know i will never be disappointed in the CITY and in the highways also. So from an ownership standpoint, I can say that those who do not much care about cruise control, can really go for Kiger Turbo CVT. Kiger CVT is anytime better than its manual version. I found the response and behaviour of the CVT of Kiger is slightly better than even Honda City CVT. You wont find a car with turbo engine and extremely lovable CVT gearbox with its Top trim/model within ex - showroom price of 10 Lakhs, while the on road price that i paid excluding accessories is 11.5 lakhs (Note - on road price varies from state to state). yes there are cons also for this car as the case with any product. But I can say I can live with those few cons of the car (though Renault's service is one of my only and biggest concern. Will wait to see how the 1st and 2nd service go) So I can say, I love its drivability, looks, interior, road presence, cabin space, ergonomics, boot, suspension and the TORQUE (in sports mode, it is any day better than Nexon's sports mode (petrol & diesel both), and I have driven both)
Sir u didn't comment on XL6 and Brezza....they r 4cylinder engine pick up and engine performance is really good better service network...peace of mind....only thing I and all can say that built quality is not good...but overall better than Renault kiger.....you will feel after long term usage that Renault can disappoint you any time.....But everyone has it own taste...

Kiger is a good compact SUV under budget if u don't care about much power as the Indian roads doesn't have very good average Speed.Punch is a good micro SUV with less space for 3 in rear ,legroom and boot
I spent two months to decide to buy my new car. First I tried Tata Punch , because I wanted to buy smallest SUV. It is really a compact SUV with enough space inside. But driving experience was not good. Basic first two models are not good enough, and top models are very costly and not worth for mony. Then I tried Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite and finally Renault Kiger turbo engine CVT. Oh my God, I was extremely happy and delighted with this superb car. Last year in lock down there was no showroom of Nissan in pune just because dealers cancelled the contract with the Nissan. I am having nissan micra and i can truely say the car is very nice but the company is totally unreliable in india... You never know when they will close all the deal and wind up they are just here because of this car magnite and this is a risk taking for the magnite owners coz if nissan does not show with any new car and magnite gets old then again nissan will plan to wind up everything from india..... @@glubglubglub732 The weight difference for Tata cars is way more than other cars. You can check Altroz VS i20 crash test weight changes. Hence I thought if I'm missing something or Tata playing some game!
Kiger needs to update its interior. It looks really cheap. Styling from outside and practicality both are superior in Kiger. Don't consider non turbo engines though
Reasons not to buy Kiger: 1.Renault Kiger has still not been tested officially by Global NCAP 2. No rear fenders, which means clogging the backside of tail light with mud and could lead to rusting. And Renault is doing nothing about it even if thousands have complained. Even alto has rear fenders. 3. No cruise control available. 4. No idle start/stop feature available. 5. No 90° opening doors. 6. Not very good on off-road. 7. No dead paddle. 8. No brake sway control. 9. Shitty audio speakers. 10. Door lock mechanism from the 90's. I can keep going. But not worth it. I have already cancelled the booking of Kiger and booked the Punch. Thanks for making this video @MotorBeam. Great review! Keep up the good work!
I have the Kiger RXZ CVT Turbo. Agreed on the first issue, but the rest is subjective nitpicking. It is good on off-roads, has a dead pedal and has decent audio. The smooth central door lock button eliminates the use of those ancient door locks. The only issue, other than that first one, is that I'm getting 9-11kmpl in city. Renault SC has been very friendly and suggestive too. It's a phenomenal car to drive, and I love how smooth the CVT is - plus, the sports mode is addictive. It is way more VFM and worth it than Punch, unless your highest priority is assured safety and maybe mileage with sedate driving. There is no fun in driving the Punch for any person who's driven cars before.
Kiger looks more premium and huge from outside but from inside it's very congested. Tata Punch takes the cake over here coz it has that harrier look, pratical and after market there are many options to upgrade it simultaneously. Though the punch does not have power but makes it up in terms handling ingress as well as safety.
Please help me out.... I'm new driver, monthly drive not more than 200 km, long drive 1000 km three times in year, occasional need hill driving Should I go with kiger AMT
Tata punch is a cross over hatchback not suv 🚙 lol but it has suv dna 🧬 but people like me will will go forward Tata punch bcoz it has good build quality and it’s mere India 🇮🇳 make 😇
Yeah that's why I opted for TATA tigor instead of Kiger. Mileage is really good and has about 16 kmpl in city. Build quality is the same of both the cars. Only drawback is a lower ground clearance. Other than that, Sedans are great value for money in all aspects.
@@carwa9651 Yeah. It also comes with additional features like Rain sensing vipers, Automatic Headlamps, Beize interiors for 8.3 lakhs. Great value for money. But I wanted an automatic car. Unfortunately CNG cars don't offer automatic transmission.
Advise for y'all. Engine in punch is absolutely joke. And quality level toh bruhh, so bad. As a long tata owner. Don't go for punch. It's just overpriced shit. Tata after sales are very poor too and cars break down very often
Yes....Giving all cars the same engine is not a great thing...they should develop a better refined 4-cylinder engine like Maruti Suzuki's K-series and Hyundai's Kappa engines
Lol.. engine is btr than kiger non turbo.. Cabin nosie too... Punch has used superior metal that is the reason it's expensive... Kiger is just looks and features.. Pinch is abt control and durability
I have taken test drive of kiger I don't know why people comparing punch with kiger I feel power and driving comfort of kiger is better than Nexon also.
I.own a kwid amt frst generation...after taking the test drive n seeing the build quality of kiger I was so disappointed....the punch is more 👌 then kiger....specially the pure variant value for money n accomplished with dazzle pack....I would go for 👊
Under 8 lakhs punch is the best in the segment close your eyes and get it. Adventure rhythm seems more vfm than higher variants. From accomplished onwards they should have provided 1.0 turbo atleast.
Except from the base 2 variants, Punch is wayyyy overpriced for that 1.2 L 3-cyl engine......Ignis is better in terms of engine and features....A quick mention is Ignis offers adjustable rear headrests (with 60/40 split) from 2nd variant onwards where Punch offers the same on top variant only.....when car manufacturers will provide these basic things ???🤐🤐🤐
@@sandysadjoker I m not a tin can fan...instead a Tata fan....that's my genuine concern...why Manufacturers think adjustable headrests as something limited to top variant? Magnite offers the same from base variant itself...Tiago, Tigor, Celerio, Santro, WagonR, S-Presso are few cars not even have that on top trim....so pathetic for a basic feature...
Tata Punch is a good package as its offer road presense nd features but its engine and Price disappoint.Kiger is good package if its interior quality is good and after sales services.
Would definately go for Kiger for sure. Both Cars have poor engine performance. Both have long lists of Cons & both are overpriced for the engines they offer. Difficult choice. Maruti's K Series 1.2 Petrol is the best on offer so far.

Kiger
Punch
Kiger looks more SUVish and stylish than a Punch and being bigger, it has a better road presence.. I’d pick Kiger between the two..
Magnite, however is good, but again misses important features like driving modes, suspension is quite stiff and to me it looks more like a hatchback than a compact sedan and Nissan service center is really a pain (while Renault is slightly better)
While Kiger gives all practical and usable features, such as drive modes (sports mode in my turbo car is unbelievable specially for overtaking, really spot on), large arm rest, lots of usable space, large boot and a look of a compact SUV (Punch also looks epic and lovable i agree). cruise control is not very usable and safe in India as i feel and i donot miss it in my Kiger, as i know i wouldnt use it, evenif i had it. but people who love cruise control, may miss it absence in Kiger.
Will wait to see how the 1st and 2nd service go)

Tbh punch is killing it !!!
Please try to compare the car like how the user of this segment use. This is not a chaffeur driven car. Practically is the important thing for this segment.
Every UA-cam channel complaints about infotainment system of tata, every UA-cam channel. But Tata! They don't care.....
That turbo, wireless charging, looks, and that European car feel, and forget everything when you are gonna do 0 to 100 under 11 secs against 17 secs of punch, even 0.8 litre kwid is faster than that punch
Sahi kya bhai
Comparing turbo and non turbo car only makes no sense
मैं दो महीने सब गाड़ी का test drive लेने के बाद finally Renault Kiger Turbo engine CVT पसंद किया,
I am extremely very happy. It is the best SUV in India, It gives a lot of features and comfortable drive experience. It is worth for money spend. It is Bold and Beautiful SUV.
Looks:- Renault Kiger.
Safety:- Tata Punch.
Features+Looks+Safety:- Nissan Magnite.
Clear winner is Nissan Magnite but its booking cross 75k+ with 10 months waiting period.
And that's the reason why i went for Renault kiger!!! As my new car
@@hemangkhanna5616
Nissan export 1 lakh + cars from India in other countries.
And if they stop production in India then already renault is here which is group of Nissan.
Also don't think that after a success of Magnite they didn't launch new products.
Renault refused to touch my micra saying this is a nissan and now i was left with only one a option which is to go with a local car mechanic.
And then the resale value is a different perk which u need bear with nissan any time
After taking that experience i would have look like a fool in front of my eyes if i would considered the magnite
No matter how good the Kiger is.. here most of them will comment Tata Punch is the best suv in the whole world 😂🔥

Paid marketing by tata

Interior of kiger have international quality and so sporty
Why punch length is smaller than others? Damn sure it would be so awesome if they make 3995mm length and ground clearance 205mm
Nexon is there for that
This video is very well made 👍
Bring in the Turbo engine with CVT, spruce up with features and throw in a few gizmos, fit in captain seats on the middle row, add more styling bits, call it a facelift or an altogether new car a.k.a XL6.
Renault will have a winner with Triber !
Hope they are listening !!
They should perhaps could do a top end version
We can prefer any car provided if its has most powerful engine, like quick pickup, noise less sounds, comfortable driving, etc.
I love tata but I hate tata because only service centre @tatamoter please improve same like maruthi suzuki service centre and spairparts all servicecentre all vehicles..after tata is come to tops sales in india
I have visited both the cars in person. Punch build quality is good but way below altroz/Nexon. On the other hand the kiger looks really premium and build quality didn't look bad at all. Punch would be the pick if not for its overpricing. The turbo engine of the kiger could be the deal breaker here
Tata wants to make u feel that you are buying a budget car but it's not the same in case of kiger they have given the best features

I have just purchased punch it is ,1and half months old . Believe me it is best car with power and has good pickup too for city like Indore and overtakes easily but it has low mileage in city about 8 or 9 but in highway mileage is above 18 . Cabin is very silent and it's looks is killer I am having creative manual white. I too drove kiger na but it's pickup is less than punch 👊. And too service centre is issue with kiger. Indore tata has good service center as showroom from which i bought has Honda cars showroom too very much satisfied with punch build quality is awesome 😎👍🙏. Highway response is awesome as I engage it in 4 gear it gives the punch like maruti car it has good pickup in 1 and 2 gear and 3 is not that great 4 and 5 gear is awesome sound of car changes as changeed gear to 4 stability is excellent 🙏

Punch is the size of a Swift. But Tata is using a great strategy of marketing by putting comparisons of Punch with Sub-compact SUVs
It's not about size it's about the body type......
Tata Punch is 1200cc and Kiger is just 1000cc. How will this impact? Can anybody explain/help!
This is the main issue. Kiger's 1000CC is less for its size.
I took a test ride of kiger yesterday... i noticed a little sound in the engine and also the gear lever was showing some vibration or can say was moving while riding.. so is it the issue in this car ??
Kiger should be compared with SUVs like venue, sonet and Nexon while punch with ignis, S-presso and the upcoming Hyundai casper
Why
Because punch is a mini suv and kiger is a compact suv
Yea but both are same price
@@Salam-qx1qv that’s why I am saying punch is overpriced… instead of punch higher end models you can go for nexon mid models

i bought TATA PUNCH a year ago, and i drove almost 11000 kms, everyone who travelled in my car, felt very comfortable, especially during long drive with great suspension and the real drive feel, it doesnt have few features comparing to kiger but i did not regret buying punch, i bought Accomplish dazzla amt, took me 10L with seat covers - on road, still i did not regret, PUNCH gives you confident while cornoring on 90s... and i feel confident driving it
How is your car now? Im in confusion either punch accomplished amt or kiger rxt(o)?
Bought Triber recently, Feels really good to drive with own family. And some relatives too
I'm using kiger since 1year and the experience is really great
I have heard that the AC in weak... Is it true ?
How much mileage you are getting bayya..
I have driven both the cars, but honestly tata punch engine performance is much much better than kiger.
Tata punch owner and proud of it

For other cars ncap crash test weight is 10-15% extra only.
It's because of the weight of the crash test dummies. There's a huge difference in many cars

Does 83 PS makes more difference or can we go with kiger if it's almost similar.pls confirm.thanks
What about suspensions & at speed of 120 to 140 is kiger stable
Nope
Handling problem
Reasons not to buy Kiger:
1.Renault Kiger has still not been tested officially by Global NCAP
Yes correct 👌 👏
5 star rating is a scam
@@Salam-qx1qv okay 😂😂

Tata Punch takes the cake over here coz it has that harrier look, pratical and after market there are many options to upgrade it simultaneously.
