- AN UNFORGETTABLE CHRISTMAS IN EDINBURGH// In today's video we take you on a visit to Scotland's capital: Edinburgh! We explore festive Edinburgh and visit iconic Edinburgh Castle which was transformed into a mesmerising spectacle of lights and colour providing the perfect backdrop for this magical place. We visit the Christmas market and last but not least enjoy a festive afternoon tea at the Balmoral Hotel. We give you a room tour of the very special place we stayed at and show you a beautiful tweed shop. If you love tweed you will fall in love with it. Even though we experienced heavy rain throughout, we hope you will still enjoy the video.

We saw hospitality . There were inviting warm places for teatime. The architecture was beautiful.

But I did walk the Royal Mile and your weekend brought back fond memories. I especially enjoyed your afternoon teas and all the decorations. Thanks so much! Oh trust me, Jörgs umbrella kept turning upside down. We couldn’t use our umbrellas at the castle but the rain and wind were so heavy that we had to leave.

The rain makes NO difference!!! It’s beautiful and it’s winter. It’s suppose to rain there. It just makes the beautiful lights even brighter, and makes your tour sooo much cozier! You don’t need to apologize for the rain. It’s still beautiful!

Despite the rain, Edinburgh has the sound of bagpipes, amazing Christmas decorations and your eye for showing us the best of any city you visit. Didn’t mind the rain at all. Dear Kirsten and Joerg, You always find the loveliest places to stay, your hotel room was gorgeous. I love dark green/ Hunter green on the walls, it makes a room feel very cosy, especially in Winter. Joerg's tweed jacket is gorgeous,very good quality,as are your boots Kirsten. Please don't apologise for the rain my dears, it's not your fault, and Scotland is usually quite rainy. I was fortunate enough to go to Edinburgh uni and live in the city for 1.5 years. Thank you Kirsten and Joerg for reminding me of many happy memories there. It’s a magical place, with a warm and historic soul. I used to take a quick turn around Greyfriar’s Kirkyard on my way home after long or stressful classes! The streets look lovely all dressed up for Christmas ❤🌟

That was just beautiful! I was especially intrigued by your stop in Greyfriar's Cemetery! I have a story about that place that my mother told me after she visited Scotland over 40 years ago. It seems that my mother and her sisters visited Greyfriar's and all 4 took pictures inside the cemetery however, not one picture turned out! Spooky! Enjoyed your visit very much despite the rain! Thank you ever so much!
