We have this same dilemma. We camp at 9k plus. Would a fuel injected gen work? Or maybe just a solar panel to keep the batteries topped off?

This is a great question. Fuel injection will help a little bit, but ultimately you will still run into the same problem of not enough oxygen. My friend Johnny over at Johnny’s weekends has a great video showing the Honda EFI gen’s performance at elevation. Thanks for watching :)

What's the BTU on your air conditioner and did the generator run it? Thanks in advance.

I have a mini split, not a normal RV AC. The load simulated though would be around a 13.5k btu AC. A 15k would make this gen struggle, but at this altitude AC is actually rarely needed!
