4:28 In addition to all that, it's also quite fitting considering the other Trampoline on this very island and all the ones inside Mt. Lavalava in Chapter 5 of 64. 5:31 To be fair, Bobbery doesn't know that Mario is capable of defeating the ghosts so it's (again) all Mario's fault for staying still. 6:00 A rare instance of back sprites still looking like they used to in the original TTYD (most certainly just because it's an actual one of those instead of a front instead of a front sprite representing a character's back, but still), nice find! 6:36 Makes sense since 5 figuratively batters down 4. 7:28 Same, still not a fan of coconut, but don't hate it as much as I used to. 8:38 Quite appropriate considering the ghosts are going around the tree. 8:52 Which I'm pretty sure has been fixed by the update to version 1.0.1 so now we know for sure Skawo hasn't updated the game yet. 11:16 Yep, for those who don't know this is called ビンテージ・レッド Vintage Red in Japanese, nice that we at least got a cool reference from what could've just been a case of alcohol removal! 13:43 I guess Flavio has deep pockets also literally and not just figuratively. 16:25 Nice reference and even more so since it's not the obvious one!

Honestly, the Chapter 5 battle theme sounds really cool and groovy to me. I understand that you may not like it too much but I absolutely love it since it totally fits the jungle theme.
I presume they mean it doesn't fit in the pirate cove section, which to be honest I think it still fits quite well. Ofc I would prefer a seperate theme but can't really complain about already having 9 battle themes
@@enderallygolemI, too, think the Chapter 5 battle theme still fits for Pirate's Grotto because it just seems fitting for the whole island. To put it simply, I don't think of it as a jungle theme, but rather a tropical theme.
9:52 Gee. If only Mario had a cursed ability (from Twilight Town) that would allow him to counter that problem. One that would help him *stop, drop, and roll!*
The Jungle Theme, to me at least, is pretty darn groovy. That bit where the flutes go nuts especially. But I also agree - I foresee a point where it'll stop fitting the scene so well... But I guess it'd be a bit greedy to ask for a chapter to have *multiple* battle themes for it, eh? ... Though, I feel like that's actually happened in one of the Paper Marios, at some point. Just can't remember where... The reference to Superstar Saga is honestly brilliant. I remember saying it in other video series before, but it really did feel like there was this era, between the GameCube and early DS models, where they were trying to establish an idea of, like, a connected Mario Canon. The two Beanbean NPCs we get in this game, Partners In Time trying to subtly prelude both Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion... I can see why they stopped, evidently - an IP you'd want to use for everything, especially as your iconic be-all mascot, needs to be as unrestricted as possible so it can do anything it wants. As much as I love lore and canon, it does tie things down - constraints Mario does just fine without. Nowadays the right consistency seems to have been found - the characters themselves being consistent, but the world and scenarios not. ... I do also wonder, though - how much the Chuckola Cola was put in there because of Age Rating reasons. I feel like some persnickety ratings group would go into conniptions if a game referenced alcohol directly, while being perfectly unfazed with how frequently this game discusses death, along with, y'know, unleashing demonic souls. As clever as ol' Nate was here, perhaps he had to because someone was twisting an arm or themselves into a pretzel over this...
I personally don't really see how keeping things consistent would limit them with anything they've done so far. Like, nothing in 3D World really contradicts anything previously seen. Same with Odyssey, Mario Wonder, etc. Not to say I care all that much, but I always love me some interconnected, overcomplicated lore.
@@librus8680 I've got one simple solution for a "different" battle theme later in the chapter that could be very fitting for the cave. Here goes: Use the exact same battle theme, but with the addition of those "ho" chants that were used for Wendy theme from Color Splash. Just imagine! By the way, Chapter 7 in this game has two different normal battle themes, so maybe it's not too greedy after all.
