He knew about the ghost question, so he obviously did some homework and watched ahead of time. But I was waiting for it then like awwww.
There was a hard edit after Jesse unwrapped the filter before showing the pelican. "Love it. Love it 36:22". The gas can would block he shot so it was put down. Then everything was magically gone other than the pelican. Who knows what was said between these edits. Maybe Daniel doesn't want us to see him reacting to his OCD issues. He doesn't make any episodes about it, mentions it sometimes for the lol's, but isn't shy to shows us his scrotum after surgery!

Surprised Tosh has worked in film and television all these years and doesn’t know what color gels are.
I can't even comprehend being this smart.
As a Tosh fan and someone who has been to TTITD (that thing in the desert) a handful of times I actually think he might really enjoy going out there one year. There is a huge comedy aspect to burning man that isn't talked about all that much and some camps turn trolling and snark into an art form. And while he's correct about electronic music / dj's being the most common I have also seen great live music spanning many genres pop up in camps, even with stringed instruments. A friend of mine directs a huge choir there every year. I think Tosh would appreciate the crew that randomly sneaks up and rolls out a red carpet, paparazzi, and an audience to an unsuspecting person that's been in a porto potty for a while. Fucking hilarious- reactions range from embarrassed to ecstatic.
The length of this comment is why nobody takes burning man seriously
Tosh is the ultimate talent-free success story. Everyone has a friend that nobody likes, but the group tolerates. This guy turned it into a career!
Man now I want to go to burning man....for a day to see the art....then leave. That stuff looked so cool. Poor Burners having their sacred event modernized and commoditized.

@Kwahzutah so I mostly use steel wire and I make horror sculptures and stop motion animations with them. but I also draw and sometimes paint but I'm constantly working on stuff

The girl last week was obviously lying about most if not everything. “Fake it till you make it”- she told on herself plenty of times. Also kept on making contradictory claims about places and what she likes😅

Old school Toshie here but he is such a good interviewer. Like yes he's a comedian but I'd back him to have a better interview w this person or pretty much anyone else rather than a pedigreed journalist... it's not the gift of gab, he doesn't really have that cuz his BS detector is always on. It's his ability to be genuinely interested in his subject and not judge, whether it's a lady who loves opossums or a blind movie critic or a travel agent to the billionaire class or a dude that makes sculptures in the sand. He's not even that funny. He's just genuinely interested and you can't fake that, and that's better IMO.
Fantastic episode, super interesting guest, good structured questions to get an overview of what they do.
Wish it was longer, seems like he must have a ton of cool stories to tell, both from the engineering side of things to the subculture of burning man before it went mainstream.
Also loved listening to him talk about working with frozen food and vapes, he seems actually passionate about making both a good product and experience for the end user, that feels unfortunately rare these days to give a crap about

Eight time Burner here. This guest knows Burning Man well.
And yes, it’s changed a lot over the years but it’s still the most wonderful, loving and accepting place on earth! My only complaint is the terribly unhealthy dust and there’s way too many enclosed campers, trailer, RV’s now.
But it’s the place if you love crazy sometime interactive art!

Back on track from last weeks’ Ohio-like train derailment.
Jesse is an interesting guy-date’s a “sex architect” (get her on the show)-and was truly appreciative of his pelican back scratcher.
Completely agree with his viewpoint of SF - how art and music moved out of the city. We moved out when we realized the culture wasn't worth it.
Somehow this dude is more vapid than the luxury travel agent lady.
