I have to say koh chang has always captured my interest. I keep telling myself every time I plan to travel in Thailand I'll visit. But. I love krabi, koh lanta and nopparat thara so find myself there. 39 days and I'll be back with the plan hopefully to make it permanent in a year or two.. love your content mate.. you both seem lovely motivated people. Stayed in Koh Chang in 2006 at Kacha resort. Looks like its been built up a little bit since then. I can remember at the end of White Sand beach a big house that had had baboons and im sure a crocodile as guards. Beautiful Island, especially the view from the top of the hill road as your going down towards White sands.

I’ve been subscribed for around 3 years now and watching your journey…I recently retired to Thailand from New Jersey and I’m staying about 5 hours north of koa Chang and am looking for a new home base… koa Chang was on my radar and I would have been there this week but life got in the way…. Maybe next week for a few days….I have to get out of this city…we’ll it’s nice to see I will be able to get some good food when I go… safe journeys guys…

I did the canoe to that island with my woman about 10 years ago. Walked around for a bit, was nice. But when we went to the other side of the island towards the ocean in the canoe it got choppy :) was a little worried the canoe would bash a rock.
Little Italy across from FIN is really good!!! You should try it.
As many times have we been on the island there's no way I would have just kept passing it up yes you are correct it is very good but just not enough time in the day to eat at all the places.
And then I’m going to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat. I am surprised that you do not talk about this, but it’s very beautiful and you are so close to it.
So we have videos there in our playlist not sure if it's something that I would want to talk about all the time but it's a great place. a place everybody should see

Do they still have the beach places where you are basically renting a tent that is a mosquito net and it’s shared bathrooms/showers? It’s was about $8-$10 a day a decade ago.
I suppose that island is more geared for vacationing than living. Does it have enough population and infrastructure for a civilization state of presence, or is it off the skids a bit? I would want to live a pedal away from a junior college where I could learn Thai.
Hey U2...can you find some land on the Island where you can build? Close to town but far enough away from the bustle?
Well that's definitely not anything I would have in mind. I love to stay long and enjoy life on the island not build something, to me it would be like a prison and a hassle. The little cottage we stayed in would be perfect but sometimes my neighbors might get annoying, could just leave and go to another part for a while, freedom....
