KOH, island in Thai, is actually pronounced with a soft (o) like in the word GOLF. The easiest way to pronounce KOH is to say GOLF without sounding out the letters (L) and (F). No hate, just want you guys to say it correctly like the locals.
About a 20 minute walk but you have more local food options next to the hotel and it’s quieter than being near White Sand Beach because of all the bars and restaurants 👍 If you are looking for more western options and being closer to the beach then you can stay next to White Sand. Another option is to stay next to the first beach and if you have a motorbike then you can explore the island. I would choose this option next time or somewhere on the west coast 👍
Koh Chang got enough local tourist it not underrated at all for Thai cause its near Bangkok and it always packed during local holiday such place with enough local they wont try so hard to ads for foreigner these places are Hua Hin and Khao Yai, Koh Larn, Koh Samet for example. Another one nearby island to koh Chang is as beautiful as the South of Thailand name Koh Kood and Koh Mak but it way less facilities + no flight compare to the South that why it remain quiet not enough local able to go there of they have a short holiday.

There’s been Koh Chang vids on UA-cam for a long time and from much bigger influencers. As long as it stays this undeveloped it’ll be fine. There’s too many Islands to choose from
We actually went for a 1-day trip around the island and were not looking for "hidden" spots - Koh Chang is relatively calm compared to other islands in Thailand, so wherever you go, you can literally find paradise! 🤩
