Another great video guys. I'm just in the process of getting ready for a week long business trip to London tomorrow and loved watching the video while I was packing. I am really looking forward to getting back to Thailand at the end of the month for my wedding. Next is all the prep and planning work for the move there permanently, hopefully as of December.
Thanks for all the videos and information. Even with my recces to Thailand, they were instrumental in me making an informed decision.

A vending machine with Mentos and condoms, that should be in every bar in the world. Thanks for the tour of the war museum, my grandfather served in Korea 10 years after serving in WW2, he contracted tuberculosis in the Korean conflict but managed to live another 30 years, he taught me to respect all people and would remind me regularly that everyone wants the same things out of life, he also talked me out of joining the military and helped me go to college instead.
Negro Modelo is my favorite beer with spicy foods, brown dosxxs is my favorite for chasing tequila, green dosxxs I like after a long hot day of work or play, it’s so refreshing but not heavy. Sorry about the long comment but there was a lot in the video. Thanks for sharing your beautiful vacation with us. Many blessings to you, Paige and family 🙏.

Great video Chuck! My uncle fought with the Greek Battalion at Korean war! He wounded at the front! Carried scars of a machine gun to he's chest for the rest of he's life! But he was proud and always remembered the Korean's with respect. Young people should know the history and we should wish this will never happen again. Korean's worth to unite and live in peace because are a remarkable nation. Also I agree that you need way more time to spend there and to explore all the greatness this country had to offer to visitors. Glad to see you guys enjoy that Dos Equis at last :)

In the NYC subway system, the turnstile cards similar to the ones you are using in Korea are...still in the TESTING PHASE...the Paris metros/city buses had a unified monthly "carte orange" for unlimited travel by bus and rail around 25 years before the NYC subway "metro card" came along. America is still so backward compared with Europe and Asia in regard to transportation, because we put all of our transportation funding into expanding roads for cars and trucks following WWII, expecting rail would quietly die...on the last time I ventured on the NYC subway, I saw 3 turnstile jumpers which were observed by the token booth attendant who took no action. I bet you didn't see that in Asia.

Really enjoyed this episode. Mostly the war museum obviously, stationed at Camp Humphreys near Pyontaek about 50 miles south of Seoul, It was a MUCH different place back when I was there in 83 to 84. South Korea has had a past where for example before WW2, occupied by the Japanese, they were forbidden to even speak their own language. Not sure if they hold the tours any longer, but a tour to the DMZ would be a must I would recommend for anyone traveling there. Gives some perspective that even though the country as advanced SO FAR, just a short distance from Seoul, is North Korea, and there is no peace there, just a so called cease fire. There are still incidents, heard of just a few weeks ago, there was gunfire exchanged up on the DMZ between the north and south. Brings back all kinds of memories, good and bad.

I know you've been to Japan and live in Thailand, so my question is how do you rate these 3 countries (Thailand, Japan & Korea) in English friendly signage and announcements?
This could be a topic for a future video.
When I went to Japan, many years ago before the internet, I used a fat, comprehensive JapanRail schedule guide (only in Japanese), together with a fairly detailed map of Japan in English. I was able to navigate the Japanese schedules because I knew Katakana and Hiragana, the Japanese phonetic alphabets. I would choose where I wanted to go on the English map, and then find the schedules for that place in the Japanese guide. Not quick and easy like the online tools we have today, but it did the job.

The Mexican food looked great, but was it really 63,000 won ($53.00)? That seems a bit (ok, a lot) on the expensive side. Does all the food cost almost twice what you would pay for the same thing in a comparable American city? Or is it just a Seoul thing?

The South Korean government, under the administration of Park Chung-hee, took an active role in the Vietnam War. From September 1964 to March 1973, South Korea sent more than 300,000 troops to South Vietnam. The South Korean Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force all participated.

Knew a guy when I was in the army who interacted with the Korean Army in Vietnam. He said the Vietcong and the NVA were terrified of them and pretty much let them alone if they could. The ROK soldiers were very tough in those days and did not let the Geneva Convention or rules of engagement get in their way.

Thank you from a hospital room in Fayetteville AR, on the other side of the world. Given me a new place to add to my bucket list. Really would be cool if until I was out of the hospital you didn't show my all that great food I can't eat after having pins & plates stuck in my neck but I have a few more things to imagine while im on my ensure diet. I have never been to Korea but you have shown a more realistic side of it I will be sure to check out in my life now. Thing about Chuck & Page is they could make a trip to a salt mine as exciting as a trip to Rome so maybe you should offer up some sort of group travel plan & people will pay a bunch of money just to get drunk on vacation with you & see the best of what Asia has to offer.. I think your positive outlook on everday life would be worth the investment because I have gone on trips with friends who were as exciting as chewing cardboard & would have much rather paid your way to come make the most out of a getaway. Only live once! Chuck & Page 2020! Get home safe!
