BUGaru Part 2 - Rear Apron Removal

  • Busaru.com - Time to start getting the engine pulled in the VW Beetle Turbo Subaru Engine swap. In my mind, it will make things a lot easier in the future to have a removable rear apron. This will allow for easier engine pulls and maintenance on the Subaru engine. There were lots of tack welds holding the rear apron on and it took some drilling but nothing major, the fender removal was the hardest part! Follow along as I remove my apron!

      +Vw Rosstorations Yes, it makes it so much easier to pull the engine or do maintenance.

    I did that to my 1303. I've put in the german Kerscher race apron (with holes) see in my vid. Great video btw !

    I have through about doing a Subaru conversion to a 75 super beetle but I want to see how much power a turbo charged air-cooled engine can make

    What is that reservoir above the right rear wheel ? A tin whisky can? :-)

      +mahler6x Ha! I think you're referring to the charcoal canister.
