I accompanied Susan on the piano for what I think was her first live performance--she sang "My Coloring Book" at noon hour at Maple Ridge High. What a wonderful voice!
I am not a musical or vocal expert, but I have been a lifetime fan of Susan Jacks, Karen Carpenter, and Stephanie (Stevie) Nicks, and as far as I am concerned, I believe they are all in the same league as singers. I could never figure out why Susan did not become world famous, this will always be a mystery to me.
Wow. Thanks a lot for posting this. The lady is better than ever, and so nice she has a wonderful band to perform with. A class, class act...would love to see more of Susan at Bullfrog Studios!
It would be most appropriate to credit the composer of this wonderful song, Bruce Miller. After all, he wrote it and originally recorded it, not Susan. And yes, this is a great performance of his song.
Two people make a song, the composer and the singer, equally. Never heard Miller sing this, and to be totally blunt, after hearing Susan sing it so stunningly, I don't want to...........
One of my all-time favorites from the 70's. Thanks for the memories of 1975, Susan. Wow! Her voice is still so amazing after all these years.

a good old New Westminster Girl. Saw her may time in the Poppy Family.
Bios say she grew up in Maple Ridge.
Mary Saxton on backup vocals.

One could even say 3 people make a song, the band being the collective third person.
