    Fantastic rebuild and install of the crankshaft. Looks like someone now will have a good mower. Thanks for keeping these mowers out of the landfill. It was more work but she sounded like she was just purring along. Thanks for the video. You guys stay safe.

    Most Mowers I find as scrap this time of year are quite easy to fix. Usually Too Much Oil, or the gas needs to be outed and fuel System cleaned good and off we go a mowing ! :-) fair winds, smiles and May God Bless !

    Well I knew it the Big Monk comes good as he said he would. That last crankshaft was as straight as a dogs back legs. Great video Sir, and lovely piece of work 👍 Tam.

    Nice fix Mick, the times I've left the fuel hose off and covered the deck with fuel lol. I thought it was just me who did that sort of thing.

    Nicely done Mick, seen a lot of crankshafts bent on the E series. Easy job overall to swap which is nice. I probably have 3 or 4 bent ones in the garage right now.

    Thanks for sharing. Now I know what’s involved, I think it will be a new engine for me! Classic school boy error, not connecting the petrol pipe. Done it many times!

    It lives. Luckily it didn't have fuel issues as those Briggs and Stratton engines have the new plastic carb and plastic jet system. Usually if you have a starting issue with one of these engines it's easier and cheaper to replace the plastic jets. Just make sure you get the correct one the right engine as they are all rated for different engine power.

    Would the blade being bent eventually wreck the oil seal or can it take it ?

      OFP2 y think the blade was changed it was not too bad considering how bent the shaft was. I got a new blade for it. No it should not effect the oil seals

      jim s yeah Jim. I took the spring off and Un did one coil of the spring to make a small leg. Works perfectly now

    Hi Mick, would a rusty flywheel cause problems with starting and running?

      Philip Hardy yeah clean it with sand paper and set the coil to get the right air gap

    WHY DON'T YOU PUT A BRAND NEW BLADE ON THE MOWER ? I WOULD OF PUT ON A BRAND NEW BLADE ON THE MOWER . HAS YOU STAY BLADE WILL BE BENT AND OUT OF TRUE .

      Shane Squire hi. I think that they put a good blade on it as it was not to bad. The shaft was bent like mad. I did put a new blade on before it sold.
