Its not the mods fault, i mean not entirely. its the shadows that are basically missing/too weak, especially when you look at the buildings from heli.

late reply, but anyone having lag issues should try looking up DXVK, you just need to drag and drop two .dll files, it literally doubled my frames, went from 40 to 80 fps with my 5700xt
@rhythmz 442 He did just fine. Download DXVK. There’ll be two .dll files among other .dll files in what it has in the “x32” folder. I can’t remember which ones you want, but you take those two files, put them in the game folder with the .exe, and voila it just runs better lol
Rockstar should re release this game with updated graphics. It’d be an instant buy.

Because it's the best song out of all of them and most people don't want other people to know what the names of really good songs are for some reason. They feel very proud of the fact that they know that song, they want other people to hear it once and never again. At least not in a proper way in this case. It's another weird psychological conundrum with people.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. I mean if they’ll remaster the big 3, who’s to say in maybe the 2030s we don’t get a remaster of this? Now, as stated above it may not be as good, but I don’t think it’s impossible.

It looks so good considering how bad vanilla looks. I miss driving in this game. The vehicles felt heavy and took skill to drive unlike pretty much every racing game today that handle like go karts. The damage model was also fun, the way you could bend cars like bananas. GTA5 was a massive downgrade in my eyes. Go kart physics and almost no collision damage.
PS What's the name of the song at 9:00? I've checked every song in the description and none of them sound like that.

It wasn't bad physics that made the cars in GTA IV clunky, it was the game's setting - New York had similar cars from the 1970s and they handled like boats but California has sportier cars with better handling and Rockstar mirrored that in the games.
Yea totally, where in Liberty City your car can flip over during a turn and your motorcycle was capped out at 70 MPH while your Infernus was capped out at 90 MPH. Beautiful car handling.

GTA IV Vanilla was completely made to look like that though, the muted colors/grayscale visuals were designed to tie Niko's story with his Environment; The word for it in storytelling is called "Tone". This mod while visually appealing, removes the darker aesthetic IV was praised for, stripping it of its soul even if it looks dated by modern standards.

Liberty City is without a shadow of a doubt the most realistic city ever in a video game.
For now, yeah, I'll admit that's true... but that'll change at the 16th of April 2020 when Cyberpunk 2077 releases.

Igal Abdullaev nah npc’s interacted a lot more realistically in Liberty City than in Los Santos. In Los Santos cops will shoot you on sight for menial crimes. They’ll even shoot you eventually for just standing a few feet away from them doing absolutely nothing. No emergency services respond to events that pertain to their job. Whereas in 4 you had ambulances showing up at the scene of beaten people, fire trucks showing up to blown up cars, cops trying to take you into custody before shooting to kill, cops taking npcs that punch you into custody before shooting to kill. Health meter on npc’s was more involved as bringing it to 0 didn’t necessarily mean you killed them. Rather it meant that they were unconscious or dead from a fatal wound. None of that dumb GTA V shit where a taser pistol is an instant lethal kill or punching someone a few times kills them. All those little things made GTA IV feel like it was a world much closer to ours in my opinion
