to answer the question: yep the lambo from the factory is way stronger than the gt500, we all know. but what happened is, this gt500 is a race type, equipped with additional structure and improved material, the side was very damaged, but not enough to take a dnf, it was a lucky even with a strengthened car, because an normal gallardo hiting with the front can be dangerous anyway. this gallardo not had structure problems to leave the race, but was forced to leave because the superficial parts was covering part of the pilot view is all the info that i found
Hard to say on this vid, but if you look at the same vid by REALLYmeFAIL, somehow you can see more on the right side of the frame and it looks like the lambo has already broken loose by the time the stang comes into the frame.
if you notice before the crash way up in the corner you can see the mustang clips the lamborghini from behind then the lambo looses control the the mustang trys to speed up trying to pass the now out of control lambo but is not quick enough and ends up paying for his own mistake... so yeah it was the mustang drivers own fault
The Lamborghini was the one that spun out and hit the side of the Mustang from its frontal. Usually, your car stops operating when your airbags deploy. That's basic automobile knowledge ya know?

ZR1 has set many lap records all over the world, and the only cars that beat it are at least 4 times the cost. Only car that comes remotely close to the ZR1 for the price is the GTR.
