Sold! You had me at Speculative Fantasy set in the Louisiana Bayou complete with a giant, mutated, slightly sassy, talking catfish.
What a clever homage to classic stop motion horror movies. And they've even managed to capture some of the same off-scale feel of actual stop motion! What fantastic art direction!
also noted this and came to the comments to see if anyone else had. Looks like Coraline. The movement animations and effects are just spot on with the stop motion feel.
The game won me over the moment the voice was revealed to be a giant talking catfish! Yes! More stuff like this in games, please!
kind of a breath of fresh air, don't really see a lot of Louisiana based games out there

Guys it wasnt low frame or low resolution trailer. This is a stop animation tyle game. Can you guys spot the different? Like caroline or lego the movie event thou lego the movie wasn't technically a stop motion but something like that.

I'm just gonna theorize by the looks of this setting, that this game seems to take place in a post-apocalyptic fantasy Louisiana context and that said apocalypse allowed magic to enter the world the game takes place in. Likely the culprit that caused the plant and animal life to mutant.

Absolutely loving this stop-motion-esque style of animation, and the art style is gorgeous!! All the visuals are just so fun and beautiful to look at!

The glowing red pustule monster battle inside an arena made of blackened vines and glowing red pustules reminds me a lot of Kena: Bridge of Spirits

Note to devs: If you're going to have cutscenes transition into gameplay, the former should be 1/4 the fps of the latter--it's jarring, style or not.

This games animation isn't sure of what it wants to be. The cut scenes are angular and jolty, but the game play is smooth and fluent. It give me a headache watching 2 different animation styles constantly clashing against one another.

Seems to me the game is emulating stop-motion animation. Kind of a weird choice.
This is a thing you see on some PC games - cutscenes getting a big FPS hit and FPS staying low for the next few seconds of gameplay until snapping back to 60+. This demo is likely running on PC or Xbox dev kit. They probably thought we'd understand that it's a game still in development... sigh...

There's a chrome extension where you can see the dislikes on all videos, but it only works if you have a laptop or a PC.
