Can you guys actually show appreciation for joey? You don’t find many reactors who actually give in depth details bout th song nd tbh u guys just keep shoving bts nd other kpop groups down his throat. Please give him credit where it’s due because he’s a talented, down to earth individual. He’s more than a reactor, he’s an artist himself so please give him due credit.
I feel like if you start at least reading the lyrics before hand, the moods of the songs will make more sense. Why something like Tear, despite hard hip hop feel is so emotional. Every word has a place and purpose just like every drum hit or a particular chord in a specific placement. The chants are so beautiful live with fans singing.
Also, I'd like to see a reaction to Got7's Lullaby. There have been producers that have said its not cohesive as a track but personally, as a musician myself, I love it. Listen to the English version so the lyrics make sense lol
@@Isabella1680 I know that but it was his line where he says that he saw the title of Spring Day and assumed what it might sound like. From the stand point of a musician, every producer would know that a feel of a song has a particular point to be made with not just the musicality of it but also the lyrics. I have this exercise when listening to any foreign songs for the first time. I try to gauge what feeling I get from a song when first listening to it and then reading lyrical translations to see if it matches how I felt. I tend to be pretty accurate. Not about the subject of the song, but the feeling that I'm supposed to get from it. From Spring Day when I first heard it musically, it made sense to find out it was about missing someone and seasons bringing about a new day because I felt an odd sense of loss even if the song isn't particularly melancholy, I still got that vibe. Maybe its more so wanting to understanding the feelings Nato feels when listening to everything and seeing if the artist gets their point across without understanding the lyrics. Especially with BTS, their music makes you feel something regardless of the lyrics but understanding the lyrics really brings the song into full focus in really understanding the musical decisions made during production.
Isabella1680 That's why they requested to read the lyrics 'before hand' so he could still focus on the beat but have a little background on the message of the song. It's a pretty sound request. He won't waste any of his air time on it, but it gives him more of a feel for the mindset they had when they went into the song. 💜
@Sofía Molano Maybe that was just my fandomness talking but I wouldn't go as far to what other producers did and say that it was lacking cohesiveness or didn't sound well put together. Sure its traditional kpop sounding but I would love to hear Nato's input on its cohesiveness and flow.
Joey,,bts has a song called Whalien 52.. it has a whale sound that is so haunting...because RM says only another whale can hear the calling of another whale...so it’s a lonely existence...and you will hear this whale sound in many of their slower tracks..it may be why so many ARMYs follow bts..it’s like the Pied Piper effect...only certain people can hear and identify with the messages bts are sending because we are whales living in a sea of loneliness..they even made a song called Pied Piper...the whale sounds in their music is so alluring..you almost don’t know it’s there...please react to Whalien 52..you have never heard a song like this...thanks...an Army healed by bts music and messages...a cancer survivor...💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Spring Day was released in Feb 2017. But up to now, it is still on MELON which is the largest streaming site in Korea. It also won the Song of the Year last yr.
6:30 MAN THAT'S CRAZY!!!! Considering that they made that song in memory of the people who died in the sewol tragedy (a ship that sank). It is in some way portrayed in the choreography, the lyrics, the MV, and now I see that it is also in the production of the music.
@no issues i agree w you but we also cant assume that they brought the incident up for likes and reactions cause it doesnt seem like thats the case here.
Hello i am one of your big Korean fan!:) I really love your professional and sincere reactions to BTS music. Keep going, you are doing awesome! Love from Korea:) Wish you all the best and have a wonderful day
You said that this makes you feel good. It’s meant to be a song that’s comforting. If you ever look up the lyrics, it’s about missing your loved ones (friends, family, lovers).
Look I stopped listening to Spring Day cause I cry every single time. Literally. You absolutely have to watch the Spring Day explanation video the whole MV is GENIUS. It’s suspected to be a reference to the sewol tragedy in which 200 students died. Many signs in the MV have political criticism behind it. It’s all not confirmed, but everyone is sure this whole song is a criticism to the government for covering up the death of the tragedy victims. The signs in the MV are pretty much obvious. + the lyrics written by RM (the leader) are a whole masterpiece. It’s also said to be british rock influenced
Helin‘s Suga when I really first heard Spring Day (it's the one that converted me to be an ARMY) it reminded me of Coldplay's early repertoire style, like Parachute era and the earlier ones. And I know Namjoon and Hobi were big fans of Coldplay so this made me so happy. It's one of my fave BTS songs ever
I heard that it was some sort of tribute to the students as well. The shoes hanging from the tree is apparently a tradition to honour people who have passed :/
Ugh these comments 😭 When I first heard it I couldn't listen to it either, especially after I looked up the Sewol Tragedy. And it reminds me of Coldplay as well ❤
It's so hard for me to hear this song without crying as well! I tried to hold it together but when he said drums under water effect I couldn't hold it in anymore. There is even a more thoroughly detailed explanation connecting everything to the Sewol Ferry Incident that was made by (Italian Army) that even shows the clock in the laundry room stopped at I believe 9:30 when the tragedy happened. The shoes were left by the edge of the water by all the family members of the victims and yes hanging them on a tree does represent death. The yellow ribbons were hung as a reminder and were used in the vid. The washing machine window like portholes with the clothes like people bring tossed around and the sticker on them saying Never Forget. Of course the meaning of all the clothes left by ones who will never wear them again is do impactful as well! RM was even wearing a t-shirt that had the same photo print as the actual book "Omelas". Yes, I agree using the novel Omelas is definitely a political statement against the government at that time! I could go on! It's even more detailed that without a doubt means it's totally about the incident. Mind you the impeached president was still in office so they couldn't actually say out and out what it was about or for sure BTS would have been blacklisted. I awhile back actually got to hear the voices of the now deceased students when they actually realized that the boat was sinking. Too heart wrenching for words. But yes, as much as I love the song it's for me as well quite hard not to cry while hearing it!
This is my all time favorite song too! Not just the melody and the lyric but the meaning and symbolism behind the song are so powerful. The choreo is also perfectly executed.
This MV is supposedly (a theory) a tribute to the Sewol Ferry accident where many kids drowned and died. So when you mentioned the underwater drum sounds, my mind was blown. Made me love BTS even more. How everything is REALLY THERE FOR A PURPOSE. Thank you for this video!!! I’m learning so much about music and BTS through you!
Most Armys, including myself, would find it hard to cite their fave BTS song but i think we'll agree that Spring Day is a queen in its own rights. I just keep coming back to it.
Been telling people that BTS discography does not sound like your typical kpop songs but they won't listen. Anyway, Spring Day won Song of The Year last year for a reason 😊 It's even more special knowing the lyrics and the symbolisms in the music video. Thank you for reacting 👍

You're currently my favorite reactor and the only one I'm keeping up with. It's not confirmed but we believe the song, MV and choreography (because they also connect their choreography with the lyrics) are related to the Sewol ferry tragedy that ended with the life of almost 300 people, there were 476 passengers and 325 were high school students (in the choreography they dance as if they were underwater, drowning and they also form a ship with their bodies). RM said that their music is up to interpret and give it the meaning we want, not confirming nor denying this fact and saying that they needed to be careful with this topic, but even till now people who lost their children in the tragedy are still grateful and sending them thank you letters. There are a lot of things going on in the MV, the song itself and its lyrics and the explanation of it all would take hours to explain completely 😂 Even in those explanation videos there's always something missing! Thanks for another thoughtful and informative reaction. :D I often feel like BTS songs shift genre's within song and sometimes on first listen I'm not totally sure they go together but I find that the more times I listen to a song the more I'm like no yo I see what you're doing here this is actually genius.
I reaallly love your 'nerdy' explanation. Man, HYPNOTIZING! I think thats why i never get bored listen to BTS's songs (cos i listen to kpop before but easily get bored). They never get lazy in production, lyrically and musically, gosh... PLEASE LISTEN/REACT TO BRIT ROCK VERSION OF SPRING DAY 😭😭 Its hellaaaa awesome (I LOVE ROCK SO MUCH) also Seesaw x I Need U. Cool intro btw, love it!!
Fifinela Raissa I agree! I also think I never get bored of BTS songs cuz each and very time they make new songs it’s always a fresh sound and something they haven’t done before. I love that they experiment with their sounds but still keep true to themselves. How they manage to pull such a thing off beats me but I am here for it.
Every time I’m watching your reaction videos I’m feeling like I’m getting home school by a teacher.. thank you so much for all the music knowledges you’ve been giving us nonstop! I really appreciate that! Thanks! 💜
The group is actually supposed to be hip-hop group but then later on the CEO of the company decided them to be a K-pop idols and note 2 of the members of them are Underground rappers ( RM and Suga ) and one is a (JHOPE ) famous street dacers also one has (Jin ) no experience in singing because his course is acting but eventually now good at singing, one has ( V ) a farmer parents, one ( Jungkook ) as an ordinary student ( at the age of 15 in korean age but in international age is 13 ), and ( Jimin ) a contemporary ( I think? ) dancer..so yeah different backgrounds but have one goal to succeed in life and they choose to live in a humble life as possible in being an artist or idol and as a producer..so yeah ifos about them😅
When you said something about "underwater drums", I was like "WOAH!" that really made sense, it does connects with the story. This song tells a very sad story that gained so much respect from everyone. Always gives me goosebumps. There's a story behind the lyrics, the MV, their lyrical dance of this song, even the train like sound in the intro that is not really a train but the sound of a SHIP/FERRY. Thank you for your sincere reactions. Honestly, you're one of the best reactors I've ever watched. :)
Mr. Joey you really made my life difficult and confused.. After watching your video it's difficult to focuse on lyrics and my mind only stuck on piono, drum, guitar, sitar, saxophone and what not. I m confused now. Somebody help me..
Hey friend. I love ur reactions and how u appreciate the good music. The sound is underwater bc this song is in memory of the sewol ferry victims, where more than 300 high school students swanked in the sea bc the captain ordered them to stay in the rooms and fled to save his own life. There is a few of videos of the last moments of these students who trusted they was safe. This happens in 2014. This song is for the victims and the survivors. I reccomend you to do a research and watch the SPRING DAY EXPLAINED then. Everything will make sense. Also you should read the lyrics is about losing your friend (in this case, death) This is my BTS' fav song bc is so meaningful and gives me hope
Spring Day is the longest charting boy group song in S Korea and it seems like it will stay on there for a long time. The song evokes many emotions about missing someone. It can about a loved one who’s passed on, a friend you miss who you may not be friends with anymore....this song is popular with all generations too. Love it to bits. Thank you for reacting to it.
I really hope that you watch and listen to BTS songs again offcam reading those beautiful lyrics that mostly written by them it was indeed amazing we stann them because of it.Thank you for your reactions 💜💜💜
i'm always excited to see you drop the reaction to bts' songs, thank you :) i wanna give you some episode about the song: each member made their guide version of the whole song, and the one we are listening today is RM's version! V has shown us his guide ver of spring day on twitter before!
spring day is one of my all time favourite songs, I just love everything about it. It is the first song that started making me appreciating slow songs more than I used to, its like a first love uwu
Under water type drum!! It gives me goosebumps. I can't help thinking of that tradgedy. Suga's rap part on the pile of clothes is so so sad. I'm proud of them to make this song. I think this song is a tribute to those young people.
Someone probably already said this but they use live band in their concerts. You should definitely check those out. Dunno bout copyright tho so might not be safe to post a reaction 🤔
That cyclical thingy, for me, is I think what makes Spring Day sound so beautiful and at the same time heart wrenching and you would know you're gonna be in for a ride of emotions all throughout the song! Thanks for reacting to the queen! 💜💜💜
Those chants really get me teared up sometimes and I genuinely dont know why. You are so talented as a producer, just picking out the background sounds!! I wish I noticed some of the things you do
Yeah this isn't k-pop, it's a magical experience and mixture of non understandable emotions 💜💜💜 actually that's BTS in a nutchell... *incredible* And you're also an amazing reactor we don't see many people examining and talking about the beats, cords and overall production of the song 🤗
Glad you appreciate Spring Day! It's still my (and may other fans' I think) favourite BTS song. You don't have to react to this but I hope you check out this song's lyrics as well as an 'mv explanation' video because it's incredibly meaningful.
It's interesting that you picked up an underwater sound with the drums. Many people feel this song was inspired by a ship thar sunk in Korea with hundreds of high school students aboard. The Sewell Disaster.
i was just getting kinda hyped up focusing on the beats n the drums as well but when there was tht scene with the yellow ribbons hanging on the carousel made me feel i like wanna cry. we stan thoughtful angels
Ok... I know I'm late to your Chanel... But wowwww The moment you said underwater drums. 👀 My heart stopped a moment because I know you didn't know the meaning of spring day... I'm just learning how genius BTS is also in production... Everything! Every f** detail is telling the song 😫💜 I love them soooo much 💜 I mean who is doing it like BTS? Who????
Suga is Genius 😫💜 The pile of clothing is first in the dark... Like under water and then later after the Searched for justice it's in blue... Well heaven... Every f*** detail 😫
This is my favorite BTS song so I'm glad you liked it too. I know you're getting requests for soooo many songs, BTS and other groups, and instead of doing individual reactions to so many songs (especially if they don't have MVs) you could always do a video where you do a first listen to an album and then dive a little deeper on specific songs that you like. A lot of the time some of the non-title tracks tend to be a bit more experimental and therefore cooler/more interesting. Plus that way you could cover them faster and get exposed to a lot more good music a lot faster. I would absolutely LOVE a first listen to Exo's album "The War" (the title track is KoKoBop) because sooooo many of the songs on there are weird (in a good way), specifically "Forever" and "Going Crazy". BTS are the most popular right now, but there are a lot more kpop groups out there who are pushing even more boundaries. Seventeen is another favorite of mine; their music is fantastic, and it's made even better by the fact that they write, compose and produce everything themselves, with very little outside help.
I love all the sounds of instruments they used on this song, and that sound you're saying is giving a flavor for this song to be heartfelt/emotional, this song is really a masterpiece
it ain't no kpop, it's btspop haha 💜 this song is very well loved it was out like 2 years ago and it's still charting til now it even rose up at the charts last year

Thanks for another thoughtful and informative reaction. :D I often feel like BTS songs shift genre's within song and sometimes on first listen I'm not totally sure they go together but I find that the more times I listen to a song the more I'm like no yo I see what you're doing here this is actually genius.
Aubrey Hill totally agree!
YES pls nerd out way more way more often, Joey!
This song tells a heavy story😭😭
This is undoubtedly the best bts song. The musicality, the hidden meanings, cinematography, everything is beautiful.
"why wouldn't they have a symbolic thing there that ties everything together?"
*inhales* boi if only you knew
I promised to myself that spring day would be my favorite BTS song of all time... But Seesaw and Just Dance crushed it completely..
Totally agreed
Damn I love seasaw I just can't stop listening to it same with Euphoria
@@JK-zy8vj me too! 😀
And it doesn't help when JK is your bias and Yoongi your bias wrecker.

Have you listened to the Seesaw x I NEED U Remix? damn
@@Kairos1g Ye. I did.

9:23 those chants are the best part of the show when they sing them live and the whole crowd sings that beautiful ooOooOooh yeah ^^
IKR. IT'S BEAUTIFUL AF.
Not watched it yet, but I like it
Lol that makes me feel good, I'm glad you enjoy our videos!
That's almost a rule when it comes to Joey Nato's reaction videos!
Every time I’m watching your reaction videos I’m feeling like I’m getting home school by a teacher.. thank you so much for all the music knowledges you’ve been giving us nonstop! I really appreciate that! Thanks! 💜
The group is actually supposed to be hip-hop group but then later on the CEO of the company decided them to be a K-pop idols and note 2 of the members of them are Underground rappers ( RM and Suga ) and one is a (JHOPE ) famous street dacers also one has (Jin ) no experience in singing because his course is acting but eventually now good at singing, one has ( V ) a farmer parents, one ( Jungkook ) as an ordinary student ( at the age of 15 in korean age but in international age is 13 ), and ( Jimin ) a contemporary ( I think? ) dancer..so yeah different backgrounds but have one goal to succeed in life and they choose to live in a humble life as possible in being an artist or idol and as a producer..so yeah ifos about them😅
You should do reaction to BTS "Outro: Wings", "21st Century Girls" " Reflection" - so good!
"Someone tell somebody this ain't kpop" YES JOEY💜🙌
When you said something about "underwater drums", I was like "WOAH!" that really made sense, it does connects with the story.
This song tells a very sad story that gained so much respect from everyone. Always gives me goosebumps.
There's a story behind the lyrics, the MV, their lyrical dance of this song, even the train like sound in the intro that is not really a train but the sound of a SHIP/FERRY.
Thank you for your sincere reactions. Honestly, you're one of the best reactors I've ever watched. :)
Such a sad song but mostly in major key. Genius.
it's my favorite bts song too! not only for the lyrics but for everything you said, the melody, chords, drums, really gets you uvu
YOU FINALLY REACTED TO MY MOST FAVORITE BTS SONG!!!

Mr. Joey you really made my life difficult and confused.. After watching your video it's difficult to focuse on lyrics and my mind only stuck on piono, drum, guitar, sitar, saxophone and what not. I m confused now. Somebody help me..

When I saw SPRING DAY ohhh boy this song changed my life completely!!! It is so beautifull. Thank you so much for this one💜
Spring day is my favourite. I love it so much. Thank you for this reaction. I love you 💜💜💜
Also you should read the lyrics is about losing your friend (in this case, death)
This is my BTS' fav song bc is so meaningful and gives me hope
Spring Day is the longest charting boy group song in S Korea and it seems like it will stay on there for a long time. The song evokes many emotions about missing someone. It can about a loved one who’s passed on, a friend you miss who you may not be friends with anymore....this song is popular with all generations too. Love it to bits. Thank you for reacting to it.
*there is a reason why this is my favorite music video and song from bts (:*
I really hope that you watch and listen to BTS songs again offcam reading those beautiful lyrics that mostly written by them it was indeed amazing we stann them because of it.Thank you for your reactions 💜💜💜
Thank you for your reaction. This song is my ultimate song of our boys. Makes me emotional everytime. 😘😉❤️💜
Spring day is a queen it’s true
ahhh spring day the song that never dies. seriously this queen charts every single comeback
i'm always excited to see you drop the reaction to bts' songs, thank you :) i wanna give you some episode about the song: each member made their guide version of the whole song, and the one we are listening today is RM's version! V has shown us his guide ver of spring day on twitter before!
Bogo shiptaaa
What does that translate to??
It translates to I miss you or miss you
I recommend you put on the subtitles in the music video so you can understand what they are saying.💜💜😊
@@JoeyLuckyBoyNato Hello! That means "I miss you"

That intro has me on the floor..quite literally because I'm watching this video while lying on the floor lol
spring day is one of my all time favourite songs, I just love everything about it. It is the first song that started making me appreciating slow songs more than I used to, its like a first love uwu
Under water type drum!! It gives me goosebumps. I can't help thinking of that tradgedy. Suga's rap part on the pile of clothes is so so sad. I'm proud of them to make this song. I think this song is a tribute to those young people.
could u react to BTS: FAKE LOVE (rocking vibe mix) or Spring Day (brit rock mix) tysm! btw both are awesome
So much talent
Someone probably already said this but they use live band in their concerts. You should definitely check those out. Dunno bout copyright tho so might not be safe to post a reaction 🤔
That cyclical thingy, for me, is I think what makes Spring Day sound so beautiful and at the same time heart wrenching and you would know you're gonna be in for a ride of emotions all throughout the song! Thanks for reacting to the queen!
💜💜💜
that ''whiny crackly'' synthesized sound in the background is what made me fall in love with this song. Love your reactions man
React to BTS Seesaw X I Need U ❤️
Please react to ^Anpanman^ by BTS, to ^Baby don’t stop^ by NCT U and to ^Good boy^ by GD x Taeyang

*incredible*
And you're also an amazing reactor we don't see many people examining and talking about the beats, cords and overall production of the song 🤗
Glad you appreciate Spring Day! It's still my (and may other fans' I think) favourite BTS song.
You don't have to react to this but I hope you check out this song's lyrics as well as an 'mv explanation' video because it's incredibly meaningful.
This is probably my favorite song by BTS. Thank you for your wonderful and informative reactions!
You have such a trained ear I love it and I love your reactions
It's interesting that you picked up an underwater sound with the drums. Many people feel this song was inspired by a ship thar sunk in Korea with hundreds of high school students aboard. The Sewell Disaster.
React to "Don't leave me"- BTS, is amazing this song pls. 🙈😫
omg yes, i'd love to see what he has to say about dont leave me as well

Ok... I know I'm late to your Chanel...
But wowwww
The moment you said underwater drums. 👀 My heart stopped a moment because I know you didn't know the meaning of spring day...
I'm just learning how genius BTS is also in production... Everything! Every f** detail is telling the song 😫💜
I love them soooo much 💜
I mean who is doing it like BTS? Who????
omg... now that you said that... and Suga is sitting on that pile of clothes there right... As long as this song exists no one will forget.
Suga is Genius 😫💜
The pile of clothing is first in the dark... Like under water and then later after the Searched for justice it's in blue... Well heaven... Every f*** detail 😫
Can you react to BTS 'the truth untold'
Love your reactions!
Thank you!!!! ^_^
Now, after your seasons changing ~ BTS's musical development observations, I really wanna know what you'd think of their song YOUNG FOREVER.
Thank you for being willing to make this film.
I could see you were enjoying the song. Thank you for your reaction and for giving BTS a listen.
4:45 hey Joey could you react to what was below the fake tweet?
Thank for your reaction. Can you reaction to Butterfly of BTS too? 😘😘😘
I need you reaction to Butterfly
Really
ARMY, where are you, make this happend
Yeah pls react to Butterfly prologue ver, the song is enchanting with beautiful vocals 💜
I love all the sounds of instruments they used on this song, and that sound you're saying is giving a flavor for this song to be heartfelt/emotional, this song is really a masterpiece
