The message at the end there was great, and TooGrown, you're right. We shouldn't take life for granted. If you're leading a happy life, continue it, and do everything you can to make it stay that way. Truly, even if life sucks, try to find that light at the end of the tunnel, and realise that you're not alone. Lots of people fight a battle to stay in this life every day, myself included. This is why many people, BTS included always say music transcends language, race and all inequalities, because it truly saves lives, with or without the language barrier.
@@southernreacts2760 Same, I had gone through the process of self acceptance but it's BTS that really made me start the process of self love, I am forever grateful to them for helping me and many others that needed support and acknowledgment I definitely would be less happy and relax without our boys and their music 💜💜
They sang this in dear class of 2020 because the kids who passed away in this accident would've been graduating this year. Like the survivors asked they didn't forget them :(💜
Wow, I didn't even think about that... i know it was such a surprise to see them perform it after all this time, I just thought they did cause of recent events
Katherine Collindres Coto The freshman would have graduated 2019 I assume. You start “first grade” at 15 then graduate at 18 or 19. But that’s just what I’ve researched.
Two more things I would like to add.. 1. When jin watches up in the staircase he poses his hands as a camera. That represents students who recorded their last moments in their phone camera which were later discovered. 2. When Jin watches those washing machines, and his face is shown from inside the machines, it looks like someone is looking from ferry windows. And yes, the captain did ask everyone to remain where they are.. You can find some footages of those students where you can hear regular announcement to stay where they are..
Farrah Jeffrey if you’d like to know more about the situation, there is some long videos on UA-cam that show the students videos and of the families and others trying to help
I saw a clip of survivors being rescued and you could see someone banging on the window inside, trying to break the glass to get out as the ship was sinking. It was heartbreaking.
You know an added caveat, the US Military as well as the Japanese offered to help and they never reached out to them, despite the military stating they had training in this arena. In fact it was rumored they declined the offer help and the government sought to cover it up form the very moment they found out about the incident.
The only 1 life boat deployed was that for the coward captain. He ordered evacuation after 30 minutes when the ship was tilting to a degree of no return. Until now i still feel furious.
I watched the video of the clips taken by the kids, when the ship was in the process of sinking. A miracle that those phones survived. One kept saying that they should prepare because this is reality, and that they could die. One was saying how he hadn't gotten a girlfriend yet. One mentioned how he still had anime to watch. One shouted that they still had dreams. Many were already recording last regards to their parents, siblings and people they were close with. A lot of them were breaking down, at this point the boat was on such a tilt that the toilet water had poured out and it was difficult to get around. Another girl wanted them to all meet up after they survived, but in an interview with a survivor, she was one of the picture frames at the memorial. There was one instance where the students inquired about the friends on the ship's deck, speculating that they might have fallen off. Instead, those might have been the ones who were rescued. You could hear from the P.A. that the captain kept telling the children to "never" move or get out of their quarters. In fact, one boy began to really curse the captain multiple times, saying that his death will be caused by "this devastating captain". I would say, a good choice of last farewells. Currently, 2 scuba divers have lost their lives in search for missing bodies, which stands at 5 as of now. The crew have sentences of several years, while the captain dodged the death sentence. He has been sentenced to prison for life. BigHit and BTS have donated to the families.
Man I managed to keep my cool through the video and then I was scrolling and saw this and the part where the students were saying the still had stuff to do really broke
I saw one video of one of the girls saying "in the movies when they tell everyone to stay, they die". it was still early in the tilting process, so I think she was joking, but it was really ominous to hear that.
I am telling you guys, if you want to watch it be ready. It was really heartbreaking. Every lines they said it struck your heart like you were there with them that time.
that crew and captain should be tortured to death , they killed hundreds of students , hundreds of dreams , hundreds of emotions . The crew and captain deserve to got to hell
Cameron Phillip made a video ranking literally every single BTS song ever made and he put Spring Day at number one. I think every ARMY can agree that Spring Day is timeless.
Yes! So true, it never gets old and whenever I listen to it, it gives me this refreshed feeling for some reason, like some kind of soul cleanse.💜 It's calming. Also, may all the students and others who were victims of this terrible incident rest in peace.
joon ho bong is also the director of the movie called “ PARASITE” and won an oscar award, the lead actor “Choi woo shik” is a very good friend of TAEHYUNG “V”
Yeah, I've heard of it. I learned that he also directed PARASITE and won an award, the lead actor Mr. Choi Woo Shik is friends with Taehyung. I thought that it was pretty cool.
I can't watch this MV without tearing up. Especially since I witnessed firsthand the parents wailing and crying their eyes out in the subway station near the Blue House (Korea's White House). Went to Korea a year after this tragedy and there was a massive protest because of the Sewol tragedy and the government/President's corruption. The emotions and pain were still so raw. I'll never forget it.
Sewol ferry tragedy happened in 2014. The Korean President at that time was impeached on March 10, 2017 and is in jail now because of many corruptions during her presidency. This song was released in February, 2017 just before the impeachment.
@@blueman2369 correct. But there were protests before the actual impeachment. I happened to be there the first time there was a massive protest. It wasn't the one that impeached the president, but it was the start of people calling attention to all the corrupt crap that was going on. Like how the then president was re-writing her family's history in textbooks to make them look like a clean and uncorrupt family and the obvious corrupt bs that was happening with the Ferry investigations.
This song is known as'The Queen', it hasn't left the Korean chart since it's release in February 2017. BTS have never said that the video is about the Sewol disaster, however with their track record of social commentary and deep compassion, it wouldn't be surprising if it was. At the time any artist directly commenting on the issue had to deal with the probability of being blacklisted by the then Korean government, which is why RM stated at the time that the song was about missing friends. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
it was forbiden or taboo for music industry to be involved with this kind of stuff , thus the "this song is not about the incident" thing came out. this is the very example of music is one of the best way to comunicate. enough so people can understand the message but the govt cant do shit about it. all the people who involved in this track is GENIUS
When you realise what this song is actually about, you understand why it has remained in the Korean music charts since it was released. I was fortunate enough to be in Korea when there were many protests against the government over the treatment of this whole tragedy. Seeing the poor parents of those children demanding answers while carrying the pictures of their children who had passed was heartbreaking. I can clearly remember standing by the side of the road in Seoul crying my eyes out for them. A parent should never outlive their child. This song is so beautiful and so heartbreaking that every time I hear it I still cry. I am glad you took the time to look into it.
I'm not an army yet (but I already watched the mv), but this is so heartbreaking. I never knew a tragedy like that happened (i feel sorry for not knowing). This made me want to know the boys more. So thank you for reacting to this video.
I heard this news and I was heart broken. I worked with Korean Engineers and they are the one that told me about it. Captain told the students to stay in their spot. Instead of giving the students life vest so they can be safe if the boat sink. Students stayed in their spot and too late to save themselves when the boat sank. God bless all the souls of the ones that died. May the rest in peace in God's care. 🙏🙏🙏💔💔💔
This is one of the reasons why Spring Day is considered a classic and it's still charting as we speak. As long as songs like Spring Day is listened to, the survivors and victims of the tragedy will never be forgotten.
Oh no it's ok don't cry Actually we still cry after hearing this song. When they performed this song recently on 2020 graduate ceremony i cried. When this song 1st released we were emotional and after hearing the background story this song hit even hard. That is y this song still popular in korean from bts fans to non bts fans to even older ages. Whenever I having hard time this song give me strength and hope. 💜💜💜💜💜💜
There are more people to remember with the students who left for heaven. It is Danwon High School teachers. A total of 14 teachers accompanied the students at the time of the accident, but they went downstairs to rescue the students and 3 were rescued and 11 others were permanently unable to escape from the ship. The vice principal who was one of survivors killed himself in the forest near Paengmok Port because he was guilty of returning alive. There was no homeroom teacher who came back alive. They have fulfilled their mission in the face of death.
I’m glad you took the time to watch this. And although these are all theories, it basically tells the story. BTS themselves weren’t able to outright say or support because artists were being blacklisted speaking out against the government. So all of their support and efforts with this tragedy was done in silence and behind the scenes. You never walk alone was their album name with Spring Day. And as many people will say, Spring Day is the longest charting song on the Korean charts. It’s been in the top 100 since it’s release in 2017. And it goes to show how deep BTS’ music is. It’s mindful, thoughtful, aware, and meaningful. This is all part of that BTS charm. They’re real people no matter how big they get they stay humble and down to earth all while making music for all generations. I highly suggest watching the live performance of this on the 2020 commencement day. It’s one of the best live performances of this song.
Mate I reacted the same way honestly, I appreciate how genuine you are with your reactions. It’s a very hard-hitting tribute from the boys, beautifully done. But yeah I got emotional reacting to you reacting because it is very real and tragic what happened. To the Sewol victims - We won’t forget you 💜
People who love life, who love the world, who love other humans, who love living and growing in life cry, it's natural. It only shows you honour life. Thanks for covering this gem of a song
It hits way more harder if you saw the videos taken by the kids saying their feeling and last farewell. I broke down especially when I saw a video taken from outside the ferry during the evacuation and a kid was using a chair to break the window to escape but it didn’t break and neither he made it to evacuate. Imagine his feelings at the time, being desperate to survive. It’s heart breaking.
One of the many, many....MANY things I love about BTS is the fact that they always bring a message.... it's not merely commercial music ...their songs and MVs are always DEEP and try to tell us a story, an encouragement message
01/22/21 US ARMY of 1 year, 38 years old, mother of 3, watching this video for the 4th time... And I guarantee I'll cry once more. This has to be my favorite BTS song ever. Thank you 💜
I want to give you a hug. I remember having the same reaction to this video. Once you understand the significance you never hear the song the same way again.
Just want to say that I’m sure it’s not fun to cry in front of the internet but I appreciate that you’re willing to show that! One thing I love about BTS is that they have no problem showing affection and displaying emotion. They’ve cried in front of millions and the love and affection they show for one another flips traditional ideas of masculinity on their head. I appreciate that you’re willing to do the same! ♥️
Well said! Being able to show vulnerability is the biggest strength.... and our boys show us that always. And then thumbing their fingers on toxic masculinity..... ah! 💕💜
I'm Crying with you dude... I literally am... really sobbing here.... thank you for reacting to this.....those children needed their voices to be heard
The saddest part about the sewol ferry tragedy is the fact that some videos that some of the students took while the ship was sinking was uploaded on UA-cam and you can hear the students saying how much they love their parents and siblings and getting mad at the captain and some students just talking about how they wanted to grow up get married one student even talked about how he wanted to go to his little sisters graduation and was just saying sorry to his lil sister
Have you ever seen a singer or a band on this planet explaining something this heart touching way? No one includes such things in their songs but bts used their minds, their voices, their mvs to show world, Even I didnt know that incident and after this video I got to know and thats how bts is different,They sre different mann My respect for them is on high level 👑
this is one of the reasons what spring day is my absolute favorite song, the depth behind it and the pure artistry in its vocals and visuals is true perfection, aside from it just having one of the biggest impacts on my life
TW DEATH in december 2016, my dad passed away due to congestive heart failure. he was old and disabled, and we were expecting it to happen sooner or later... but we were kind of still in shock when it happened. he'd survived multiple strokes and heart attacks before - it didn't feel real. i was fucking devastated. i'd lost my mom 5 years prior, just a month apart. i'd started getting into bts around this time, and i leaned heavily on them to keep my mind off of my grief. all i wanted was put all of my grief and sadness in a box, on a shelf, in the deepest recesses of my mind. but just a few months later, bts released spring day, a song that perfectly encapsulated my grief and pain. i didn't expect them to be so well-spoken, to somehow understand what that kind of loss felt like and put it into words. i was blown away, and it's one of the reasons i'm still such a dedicated fan. time and time again, they have proven to be so much more than who they think they are, without particularly trying to be anything but themselves. they have such beautiful souls and beautiful minds; they're more emotionally intelligent than many give them credit for, but it's this intelligence alongside their drive and passion that has enabled to create the art that they have, along with the gifted and highly skilled creative teams surrounding them. it's unlike anything else i have bore witness too. but again, that's why i'm still here. my first (and only, for now) two tattoos are related to them - i'm in the bangtan shit for life, man.
Spring day didnt become 2017’s song of the year for nothing. Even until now, koreans held the song close to their hearts and never even left the chart.
If you looking for "sewol tragedy" or similar to that on youtube, you'll find out the videos about it. The videos that the students recorded before the sinking, the video that they did the call with their parents, how the captain evacuated, etc And it makes heart breaks ofc :( Spring Day beautifully made, and the MV as well Thank you for reacting to the "queen" I purple you
This is why BTS'S music is special to us ARMYs. One of my friends, lost her father when she was 15 years old, and she was struggling a lot with depression during that time, because she used to be her father's favourite kid, and was really attached to him. And it was really difficult for her to get over it. The year she became an ARMY, I've never seen her be so happy like that before. BTS helped her a lot to fight depression, since some of the members also fought with it and have succeeded, and their music, the messages in their songs, helped her to get through tough times, and it is the same for me. My troubles were quite different to that of hers though. But BTS helps me a lot to stay strong and to believe in myself and to appreciate the small things in life 💜💜💜
This MV was in honor of the students who died in a ferry tragedy em 2014. One of these nights by Red Velvet was also in honor of the students and family.
Spring Day keeps topping the charts because that's the goal. Spring Day's goal is to never let the people forget about the victims (that's explained at the latter part of this video).
All I can say is... Thank you for doing this. I was bawling right there with ya. BTS is an inspiration for shedding light to such a dark moment in the Korean government. The boys donated a third of their salary for the entire year in support of the grieving families... for this they were blacklisted by the Korean government. It's not all of Kpop that's great... there were many more groups/agencies that followed the censorship laws... but BTS stood their ground. This tragedy will never be forgotten. The families of the children that have passed before their time deserve so much more. That's an understatement. The least we can do is remember.
I love Spring Day. The song is beautiful, the lyrics are beautiful, the singers are beautiful, and the way they sing it is beautiful. I never thought much of the song as a sad song, but after watching the original video with theories, then watching videos of survivors, watching footage shot as the ship was sinking, and reading about the Sewol tragedy, I will never see the music video as I did before. Whenever I watch music videos, I usually don't look too deep into it. That's why I watch reaction videos of people like UA-camrs, directors, singers, camera directors, etc. reacting to them, so I can get a better insight of it. I'm glad I watched and read about Sewol, because the next time (if I do) [I] end up visiting South Korea, I'm going to do my best to visit the memorial. I may've not known about this until now and not known anyone who experienced the tragedy or lost someone to it or was there, but I definitely think it's worth my time to go there. This song wasn't an upbeat song, but I still liked it and could jam out to it. Now, if I watch it, tears are brought to my eyes, thinking about the Sewol tragedy.... I don't have words that explain how I feel listening and watching it, but... Yeah, that's all I got
The lyrics will hit differently for you now. That is why, no matter how great the BTS catalog is, Spring Day is my all-time favorite. The video is shot beautifully, but it is so deep and meaningful.
I have so much respect for you posting this reaction. Your vulnerability is so relatable; I'm so happy you were able to share that sensitive side of yourself. This MV is very precious and watching you connect on that level emotionally with its message is truly special. Thank you for sharing that. 💜
I heard that the captain fled the ship first, telling the students to stay calm and stay in their cabins. He was never really found after that (according to Wikipedia). One of the rules of a captain is to make sure the passengers get out safe and then the captain is the last to leave. This is a really tragic event and it makes my heart hurt every time I hear about it. Moral of the story, that captain deserves nothing but shame for what he did.
This song very much touched me as well, as I lost my daughter at 23 years old just as she was about to take her place in the world as a psych nurse. Although I cheer for her friends as they move on, after only 4.5 years it is still hard to watch them working, starting relationships, getting married, having children, travelling. I love how well BTS speaks universal truths. I just want people to remember her occasionally. I am a 64 year old Canadian Army.
It’s ok to cry: life is precious, emotions are what human are privileged to have, and you have expressed your feelings the most beautiful way they can be expressed. Thank you for staying true to your heart. I feel you :)
I am so happy you reacted to this, this is one of the most beautiful songs they have ever made. Namjoon got inspiration for this song when he saw a leaf falling down a tree.
Another side note...Taehung (V), Jimin, and Jungkook all went to that high school. There is an US television show (with the same name, ‘Snowpiercer’) based on the book and movie.
This is why i can't afford to listen to Springday again. The song itself makes me cry. I always remember the students who passed away on the Sewol tragedy when I'm listening to it.
The news media were saying that they were being rescued and even reported that all the kids had been saved when they actually weren't. A lot of the kids got ahold of their parents while the boat was sinking to ask them what to do. The parents going by what the news was saying, told their kids to stay put, that they were being rescued and to do what the captain told to them to do. I can't imagine being the parent that told your kid to stay put and it was the wrong thing to do. How guilty they must feel. Spring day is a song that is loved very much. It's never fallen off the charts.
You're very brave & openly honest to show your feelings publicly like you did here. So many men would've just never have posted this proof of their feelings, which is a shame that more would not be secure enough in themselves & who they are to do that. Because as we know all human beings have these feelings so I love that you're a good example for any guy to never be ashamed to shed years and show they have a heart. It is the most beautiful thing in a human, to be able to feel for others (in my opinion). I was amazed first time (I watched the mv explanation how much thought went into every single frame and section of the video ! It's just so impressive the depth BTS operates always delves into with their music & lyrics.& even more so to be as young as they are. But all of this is why everyone knows they are really a special group of young men, so special, that I feel they are a once in a generation occurrence & will go down in music's history as influential, as unique and memorable in their time, maybe more so, as Elvis, the Beatles and Prince were in their time..
It never ceases to amaze me the depth and intelligence of BTS and bighit. I know there are many people who contribute to the development of these songs and MVs but I want to shout out Namjoon. He is a deep and poetic thinker and he is a huge benefit to BTS and bighit. And for all the other contributors and producers, thank you for giving us such rich contents. Borahae!
TooGrown i also reacted the same way as you did... It was such a heartbreaking tragedy. I'm glad BTS tributed this song to the victims & survivors of the tragedy... BTS & Big Hit not only gave tribute but also donated to their families....✨ 💜💜
This shows bts are not just a cool celeb who knows how to sing and dance . They are different from all those idols out there that's why they are where they are
That's why BTS is the most popular KPOP group. They are not just try to be cool like SOME other groups. They always try to rejects to reality and gives really good messages to everyone.
Spring Day is a song that’s been on the charts the longest. I believe it’s not because BTS made it, but because it is a comfort to those who desperately needed it, whether it was for people who were connected to the incident or not. It’s a song about memories and missing people. It’s something that bring strangers closer together because they share the same pain. Most of us listen to it on April 16th to commemorate those we’ve lost. 💜
You can't imagine how many times i have watched this video and the original one... And still every time i hear that song, i cry. Thank you for your reaction, it's really beautiful and genuine Thank you and 💜you
So I just want to say thank you for showing your feelings and not be afraid of crying, I feel like many reactors try not to cry when it is actually very sad. You are so genuine and I appreciate that, we all cry when we finally understand what Spring Day is about, that's why it's hard for me to understand when I see people not crying or not getting emotional only because they are afraid of the camera in front of them.
what’s sad is there’s videos of some of the kid’s who were stuck, literally sitting on the walls bc the ship had already turned on its side. u can hear them laughing and joking around at first and then u could feel the atmosphere shift when they start calling out for their moms. one kid can be heard saying “i want to call my mom!” one family who was interviewed stated that their daughter, who was one of the teachers, called them to tell them what was happening and then hung up to let some of her students use her phone to call their families.
This tragedy gets me every time. If you would like to know more about it, there are long and well documented videos, in some of them you can even see the last moments of the students who filmed without knowing what would happen to them.
BTS always try to give a powerful message with every song/ MV they don’t like making music about useless topics. They always try to put out a good message about self love, loving eachother, accepting eachother. They are so caring about their fans and have such cute personalities💜 after your done watching all their MVs you should watch their RUN episodes or interviews and you’ll see how beautiful and FUNNY they are.
I'm not an emotional person but there is something about this song and the tragedy it was based off that really strikes some cord in me. It hurts knowing these kids thought they were going to have the time of their lives only to have it cruelly cut short like this. Thinking about how helpless they must've felt, all the regrets and dreams they could never conquer. It makes my heart hurt so badly, every single time I hear this song.
If you are a true and a good army, then you WILL cry during this video. After this explanation, every time I watch the mv I cannot help but cry. I love all bts songs and I cannot choose a favorite. But I will say that this mv will be forever and ever in our hearts. This song proves that BTS doesn't deserve all the hate they're getting. They could make songs on hundreds and thousands of topics but they chose this. They chose to spread awareness about this incident. They reminded us to never forget those who passed away without experiencing the Joys and hardships of life. These 7 Angel's are the most beautiful and caring human beings ALIVE.
I have a chronic illness & may not have a long life ahead of me. But still, life is not something to be taken for granted. This song is my favorite for every reason possible. Thank you for reacting to this ❤️
Today a Army took her own life because of her abusive dad and haters who hated on her for loving BTS when I found out it reminded me of spring day as kids grow around her she will forever be stuck in time I just hope wherever she is she will finally be happy
This song and melody is very beautiful, but the story behind is full of tragedy and pain....I do adore RM ~ he is a genius musician whom we should respect!
I was teaching in Seoul when the disaster happened. The owner of the ferry violated safety regulations by overloading with cargo, to make more money. Then as it started to sink the captain did indeed order to kids to stay put while the crew got off. The students sent texts with photos to their parents, and those were broadcast. Everyone in Korea was in shock.
Don't worry about crying on camera I cried with you I can never watch the MV for spring day the same after watching the explanation of its meaning I can't watch the explanation without crying and having a breakdown it's so touching that BTS recognized this unfortunate incident this is why I'm an army they give me so much knowledge and experience on life it's just crazy how much they have affected my life in such a positive way I'm forever grateful for looking into BTS 💜
Your honest reaction touches all of us. This is why BTS is more than a seven member singing group! Thanks for your video. I’m in tears now too. 💜 Heartfelt sympathy for those who are missing their loved ones.
fun facts: this song has been in the charts since the day of its release (2017). The topic couldn't be touch in korea back in that time, many artist will get banned if they talk about that. Bts did this beautiful piece either way.
I was lucky enough to see one of Christian Boltanski's Clothes Pile installations in NYC. It's shocking at first, chaotic and beautiful all at once. It's massive size dwarfs you and makes you feel small next to the human deaths each piece of clothes represents.
This song always makes me cry HARD i never knew why I only speak English and never knew what the lyrics meant i could only feel them....now I know why this song makes me feel so messed up....thanks
This song make me cry every time I listen to it. It reminds me of my parents 😢😭. I lost my mom back in October of 2018 and four months later in February of 2019 I lost my dad... It's so hard but BTS songs help get though things... Thanks to reaction to it and yes we can't take life for granted. I have to beautiful daughters that I love and we love BTS..
I've cried a lot when I understood the meaning of this song and after I've watched all the videos on UA-cam about this sad accident I cried even more, because I saw the picture of all the victims and the pain on the face of the parents and survivers! Only our Seven Special and Sensitive Boys could make such a beautiful tribute💖!
No matter how many times you have watched this song, no matter how strong you were before, you will always experience a breakdown..This song is literally The Queen. I was waiting for your reaction! Never knew you would cry..The song must have moved you. It was a very genuine reaction and that's why I love your BTS reactions.. Keep going and growing! Fighting 💜!

😭💜
It really is! Once a Queen, always a Queen.
Yes! So true, it never gets old and whenever I listen to it, it gives me this refreshed feeling for some reason, like some kind of soul cleanse.💜 It's calming.
Also, may all the students and others who were victims of this terrible incident rest in peace.
Yes, a lot of veteran Korean singers even made covers of this song.
indeed
Really?? I love Cameron! I'm going to go check those out. @cameronphilip
joon ho bong is also the director of the movie called “ PARASITE” and won an oscar award, the lead actor “Choi woo shik” is a very good friend of TAEHYUNG “V”
@Ara K I agree with you. That was the most peaceful and respectful protest I have ever seen, but very massive and powerful.
I also witnessed it first hand, one of my mothers friends son was a victim and it hurt to see her cry that day.
_I’m so glad you reacted to this. This song has a very special meaning and it’s why it will remain as one of BTS’ most loved songs._ 💜💜✨
Sian Evans also, the yellow ribbon project for sewol tragedy was also referenced in spring day's music video...
Well, I do think that the song is mostly about missing friends, and that they dedicated the video to the victims of Sewol
it was forbiden or taboo for music industry to be involved with this kind of stuff , thus the "this song is not about the incident" thing came out. this is the very example of music is one of the best way to comunicate. enough so people can understand the message but the govt cant do shit about it. all the people who involved in this track is GENIUS
well he didnt lied tho, it really IS about missing friends..... its just that later they dedicated this song to the tragedy
So thank you for reacting to this video.
i am glad u found bts , u know they have saved many lives through their music , they are a blessing to this world
I heard this news and I was heart broken.
As long as songs like Spring Day is listened to, the survivors and victims of the tragedy will never be forgotten.
these seven guys will make you cry & laugh so much at the same time 💜
They are the only people in my life who can make me happy and sad 💜🥺
TooGrown: *cries*
GrownSquad: *cries with u*
Yes
@@Galactic_Drift I did not cry well that doesn't mean I wasn't sad at all ,I definitely was😪
But I just don't cry🤔🤦♀️
Oh no it's ok don't cry
Actually we still cry after hearing this song.
To the Sewol victims - We won’t forget you 💜
He's TooGrown but not too grown to cry! Props to BTS for using their platform to tackle hard topics
This is why I love BTS and their Songs, Their songs have deep meanings, every single one of them, BTS for life 💜
this story is really sad and the boys made a beautiful song of it 💔
The last part
"Don't take your life for granted"
The description
"Appreciate everything in life"
„Carpe Diem“
People who love life, who love the world, who love other humans, who love living and growing in life cry, it's natural. It only shows you honour life. Thanks for covering this gem of a song
It hits way more harder if you saw the videos taken by the kids saying their feeling and last farewell. I broke down especially when I saw a video taken from outside the ferry during the evacuation and a kid was using a chair to break the window to escape but it didn’t break and neither he made it to evacuate. Imagine his feelings at the time, being desperate to survive. It’s heart breaking.
I watched Snowpiercer finally and yo that "fun scene" was one of the darkest most violent scenes in the entire movie *shoook*
It made me think of the videos the kids on the ferry took before it was all over. Absolutely heartbreaking and horrific.
One of the many, many....MANY things I love about BTS is the fact that they always bring a message.... it's not merely commercial music ...their songs and MVs are always DEEP and try to tell us a story, an encouragement message
'봄날' 리액션 감사드립니다.

모든 한국인들은 그 날을 절대 잊을 수 없어요...
And then thumbing their fingers on toxic masculinity..... ah! 💕💜
This song was literally the reason I stanned BTS
Omg me too, first ever song I have heard of them. I made my channel after becoming an army 😭💜
I call you smart
Eyy welcome to the club lmao
No one includes such things in their songs but bts used their minds, their voices, their mvs to show world, Even I didnt know that incident and after this video I got to know and thats how bts is different,They sre different mann
My respect for them is on high level 👑
"You Never Walk Alone" is written in the blue merry-go-round behind Jungkook too! They also have a song with this title!
this is one of the reasons what spring day is my absolute favorite song, the depth behind it and the pure artistry in its vocals and visuals is true perfection, aside from it just having one of the biggest impacts on my life
TW DEATH
in december 2016, my dad passed away due to congestive heart failure. he was old and disabled, and we were expecting it to happen sooner or later... but we were kind of still in shock when it happened. he'd survived multiple strokes and heart attacks before - it didn't feel real. i was fucking devastated. i'd lost my mom 5 years prior, just a month apart. i'd started getting into bts around this time, and i leaned heavily on them to keep my mind off of my grief. all i wanted was put all of my grief and sadness in a box, on a shelf, in the deepest recesses of my mind.
but just a few months later, bts released spring day, a song that perfectly encapsulated my grief and pain. i didn't expect them to be so well-spoken, to somehow understand what that kind of loss felt like and put it into words. i was blown away, and it's one of the reasons i'm still such a dedicated fan.
time and time again, they have proven to be so much more than who they think they are, without particularly trying to be anything but themselves. they have such beautiful souls and beautiful minds; they're more emotionally intelligent than many give them credit for, but it's this intelligence alongside their drive and passion that has enabled to create the art that they have, along with the gifted and highly skilled creative teams surrounding them. it's unlike anything else i have bore witness too. but again, that's why i'm still here. my first (and only, for now) two tattoos are related to them - i'm in the bangtan shit for life, man.
lost my mom to lung cancer early 2017. i feel every word you said. big love and hugs to you! we really in this bangtan sonyeondan shit for life
They don’t say “You find BTS just when you needed them” for no reason mate 😭
Spring day didnt become 2017’s song of the year for nothing. Even until now, koreans held the song close to their hearts and never even left the chart.
If you looking for "sewol tragedy" or similar to that on youtube, you'll find out the videos about it. The videos that the students recorded before the sinking, the video that they did the call with their parents, how the captain evacuated, etc
And it makes heart breaks ofc :(
Spring Day beautifully made, and the MV as well
Thank you for reacting to the "queen"
I purple you
Aloha I support your insight. Immortal Songs 2 series. BTS songs Episode for Pdogg producer. Korean voice prodigy performs "Spring Day"
This is why BTS'S music is special to us ARMYs.
8:31 And some people see that scene as a "inside of a sinking boat" like, everything's floating like inside the water.
The least we can do is remember.
there is a reason why this song hasnt left the charts since 2017 and probably never will. it is a masterpiece.
"You never walk alone" I broke... It feels as if BTS will always be there for me, and I'll be here for them ALWAYS
'You Never Walk Alone' is also written at the top of the carousel, the letters are faded and corroded.
This is why i can't afford to listen to Springday again. The song itself makes me cry. I always remember the students who passed away on the Sewol tragedy when I'm listening to it.
When i Listen to spring day again after watching explaination it hits different 😢😢 and I'm so happy too grown because of you brother ❤
Yep. He has now felt the true emotion of Spring Day. It's such a beautiful song on its own and the meaning behind it just completes everything.
Just like you, When I watched the spring day explanation song a year ago, this part 09:16 is the exact time I started crying.
BTS & Big Hit not only gave tribute but also donated to their families....✨
💜💜
This shows bts are not just a cool celeb who knows how to sing and dance . They are different from all those idols out there that's why they are where they are
Red Velvet's "One of These Nights" MV was also about the Sewol Ferry incident
Really? I'll watch it. Thanks for telling this 😊
Imma take a look, thanks ❤️
Yess!! I was looking for a comment that said that
Thats why this song remains one of the most loved song in korea. Even if you dont stan bts, this song still hits different
Thank you for your reaction, it's really beautiful and genuine
Thank you and 💜you
I have never been moved by music in my entire life until I found bts
"We shouldn't take life for granted"
Well said bro
This tragedy gets me every time. If you would like to know more about it, there are long and well documented videos, in some of them you can even see the last moments of the students who filmed without knowing what would happen to them.
BTS always try to give a powerful message with every song/ MV they don’t like making music about useless topics. They always try to put out a good message about self love, loving eachother, accepting eachother. They are so caring about their fans and have such cute personalities💜 after your done watching all their MVs you should watch their RUN episodes or interviews and you’ll see how beautiful and FUNNY they are.
Whenever I heard spring day I got really emotional 🥺 ....
BTS is really meaningful 💜
This song is what made me want to know who bts really was and I was not disappointed.
I've seen this thousands of times but still get choked up. There's a more detailed explanation vid but you may cry more.
fun facts: this song has been in the charts since the day of its release (2017).
It hits different when you realise V always said Spring Day is the best MV no matter what.
I have cried for an hr. BTS have so much meaning in there songs. I am army
'K pop is beautiful' yess man it is beautiful others cant make us feel how kpop will make us feel
Fighting 💜!

@@yoongistangerines3544 me too 💀
I can hear this 😭
Just oh my gosh. I got goosebumps right from the start. I didn't noticed the suitcases at all when I watched the MV
