I have the same kayak, including the color. There's plenty of room for a smallish soft sided cooler behind the seat. I fit one large enough to hold sandwich fixings, drinks and veggie sticks to feed four-five people on a 22 mile paddle. I stuffed a picnic blanket and the rest of lunch (chips, croissants, cookies) along with a beach towel and a dry bag with change of clothes in the dry hatch. Get a bilge pump (under $20, I stick mine under the back bungee) and a large sponge, no need for a drain plug (definitely no need for a drain plug in the SEALED stern, yikes). The only thing I was missing was a paddle clip...haven't decided where I want it so I picked up a Yakclip Clip On paddle clip to try.

I was lucky to find one of these used as a consignment sale at a wilderness dealer for about half the original msrp.
    It's a damn good kayak.
    I'm 6'2".and 205ish lbs and it's perfectly comfortable.
Super solid and will blow any big box store 10 footer out of the water in terms of performance. The drop down skeg is sweet and the bungee cup holder and dashboard rocks.

I am approaching 60 and I have always wanted to kayak but never could because of work, work, and more work. Now that I am fully retired, I want to kayak. Only problem now is that I can't find this model anywhere. NOWHERE!!! The Kayak 105 would be perfect for me. Nothing crazy, just enjoying nature. I've tried looking for this on the internet and I can't seem to find this model. Does anybody know if Wilderness System make this model anymore or has it been discontinue or is there a replacement for this kayak. Thanks for sharing your kayak with us. I will continue to search....... Rick

If you have yet to find one you can buy it from REI as they have them online and I just purchased one today.

I started kayaking last year. I'm similar in age to you. I can tell you that kayaking lives up to your expectations: very relaxing and fun! I highly recommend it!

Did you get your Aspire? It's now sold on Amazon. I called WS and they verified Amazon is an official retailer as well! Just puchased mine, should arrive in 2 weeks

I'm 6' 3" 215lbd and I used to have a Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 and I fit great. Do you think I'd fit just as well in the 105? The 105 will fit in my van where a 12 footer would not.

Just add one for each compartment. I did this on my Old Town Durigo 120 a few years ago and it works just fine. The plugs are easy to install and cost about $5 each
