Thank You for posting this. Ronald Cook is my father. He has this clip on VHS. I remember seeing this on American Bandstand when I was about 8 yrs old.
The superb are bad ass, especially cruising Saturday night in my 63 Impala blasting the oldies like this one, social media I'm going crazy finding all these oldies, and the videos, instead of the same oldies from Motown, there was a lot more music that got lost in time, but u tube is off tha chain,
So many of the Groups from the 1960s were great singers. History will not bring us another decade like that one, a unique decade of revolutionary changes in our culture which produced the hundreds of singing groups and many single artists and the love for dancing that was going on every weekend, many great memories for sure.
This song was written by Bobby Troup who was a multi-talented guy. He sang and performed, performed with his own trio, acted and wrote many songs, among them Route 66, Tenderly and The Girl Can't Help It. He was also an actor and played in lots of movies and TV shows among which are Emergency and Mannix.
This song holds very special memories for me. I went to one of my very first house parties in the early '80s with some great friends of mine. Oldies were playing in the living room and I remember slow dancing to this song. Such fun times. I love it.
This song was written by my daddy (Bobby Swayne Sr)
she has a very powerful voice and she has it totally under control - wonderful vocal maturity for a 17 year old!

What a beautiful group, three handsome men and a beautiful lady who had class and innocence, we'll never see an era like this again.
Man those back up singers could harmonize! Such a beautiful classy lead singer.
THIS IS THE JAM I DIDN'T KNOW THE LADY WAS ONLY 17 IT'S TOO BAD NOBODY CAN SING ANYMORE
I need to watch this 100 times and I will never be tired of it
Leather & faux leather dresses are still being worn today! The lead singer looks great and so do the guys!
All I can say is SUPERB. This is music, not the rap crap today!
