      Ye tho the slow tone of steve, is easier to hear. Well down to earth. That hi pitch mid west accent is tough to hear. Lucas needs to take a vacation or something, he seems ready to shoot someone at times. Tho even when he's chill, that's his regular accent. So he needs singing lessons for deeper relaxed tones or something. Keep the state accent, tho get rid of that hi pitch serious way of talking. I normally would say, " well 1 had a high pitch showboat tone & the other has a laid back reserverd tone, diff personalities are great. " Tho in this case Lucas's frequency is so harsh to hear, like unplugged grey tv sound. Makes me not want to be a streamer. Or maybe stop shooting animals & only being about metal objects & instead find nature again.

    As far as a gen 4/5 glock, I highly recommend the TangoDown mag release, and the Glock EO extended slide release (its technically a Glock 34/35 release.)

    @40min, I own the 3 pistols your discussing Gen 3 Glock 17, M&P 2.0, and a CZ P10C. Out of the box, the CZ takes the cake for the trigger and ergonomics. All 3 are great pistols, all in all you can't go wrong with the Glock or the M&P.

  • @gbullock2598
    @gbullock2598 9 місяців тому

    From my experience. With my glock 45 build, i put in a timney trigger, stainless steel rival arms guide rod and meprolight adjustable night sights. All those upgrades really did help with accuracy (still had to practice though) but the cross armory mag catch and slide stop help with functionality. Shooting idpa, all those parts were an advantage over the oem parts.

    I believe you would really like the M&P 2.0 compact. I have 2 of them. 1 is over 6k in rounds and the other just under 2k. They run well and you can find then for around $400 or less.

  • @mrdark9916
    @mrdark9916 3 роки тому +16

    M&P 2.0s are pretty awesome. I have had a few over the years and i prefer them over Glocks in all honesty, grip angle is better, (for me) trigger is FAR better,(for everyone..) reliability is the same, they are pretty damn squared away.
    But I run a Shadow Systems MR920 with a dot now. And I'm so happy with it

    • @slappomatthew
      @slappomatthew 5 місяців тому

      I have apex triggers in my glock and m&p and while its an improvement in the Glock its a requirement in the m&p imo

    • @mrdark9916
      @mrdark9916 5 місяців тому

      @@slappomatthewI might agree on a 1st gen M&P, haven't shot one in forever but i remember the triggers not being great.
      But the 2.0 triggers are outstanding especially compared to a Glock.
      Triggers are one of those things, if you like it then do it. Long as It's reliable then it's whatever. I typically just keep them stock on pistols, but my M4s I upgrade to Geissele triggers on all of them.

    I feel like there's a huge exception when it comes to buying skill and that's red dots.... Shot irons for around 4 years and got good enough to feel satisfied with myself..... Almost a year ago I decided to purchase a Walther 4.5 " PDP to actually try out red dots on my own instead of trying others at the range here and there. Literally in just 1 days time the skill wall I was stationary at was completely broken and it was like I finally seen the light! It was like I was using cheat codes in real life and was actually a breath of fresh air that gave me the motivation to practice more and more and start attending training.

    My duty weapon: G19 with an APEX trigger which is not that special other than having a more robust trigger safety tang. Trigger pull is still 6lbs.
    Brownells slide with Holosun HS507C circle dot. PERFECT fit. Blacked out suppressor height sights.
    Viridian Green laser and 100 lumen light module...optional strobe function. Not a cheap item at $350. Have had it for years. Robust.
    Lone Wolf Alpha Wolf fluted, nitrided barrel. Love it.
    Also: Safariland ALS drop leg holster modded to fit the HS507C
    My mod that actually helps me shoot better is the green laser because at my age shooting really WELL with irons is really hard. Astigmatism and 2.75 reading power.
    Just getting used to the red dot which is designed as my back up sight. Viridian laser is my Primary.
    I need to lighten the trigger to 4.5 to 5 llbs.
    Hot tip: BED your RDS with Tef Gel. BUY and install SS screws to mount your RDS on Amazon. The black oxide coated mild steel screws will rust from rain and sweat in a couple months. Use PURPLE low strength Loctite with the Gen 1 HS507C. You need to be able to remove your RDS with OUT a heat gun. Blue Loctite is only OK for Gen 2 HS507C which has the battery in a tray.

I stepped up the quality of my attachments and have had no failures. I run Stream Lights on all my AR's, AK's and pistols. The lights are Streamlight TLR-1 HL. Slings for all my rifles are Blue Force Gear 3 point. all my AR mags are PMags to no surprise. Magpul grips for the rifles and Locar for my pistols. For grips are ITach. I hate pressure pads! thay could get caught up in something then my light fails! I hope this comment helps other shooters. We are all in this together. I didn't realize how bad my grip was until I put a red dot on my pistol and couldn't find the damn dot without spinning the gun around fishing for the dot. I quickly discovered that my grip sucked. Since working on my grip finding the dot became easier and consistent along with my accuracy.

    I run a tlr-7 on my gen4 glock 19 mos with a trijicon type 2 hrs socom rmr. I have that in a tier 1 concealed axis slim holster. I absolutely love this holster but am looking to try the trex arms and the last line of Defense holsters also just to have options. I’m going to be sending my Glock 45 to Jagerwerks to get a Holosun 508t milled pocket to test that optic out. I’m bought an extra glock 45 mos slide to throw another rmr on so I can switch between the holosun and rmr. A sure fire x300 will be going on the glock 45 as well and that will be going in a trex arms sidecar

    Speaking of FMJ and barriers: I was a final year dental student at the largest dental school in Africa (UWC in Cape Town, RSA) assisting a maxillo-facial surgeon registrar with a 14 y.o. male patient who got shot in the shoulder and jaw. He was referred to us from the hospital next door. Judging by the shitty hand tattoos he's probably in a Cape flats street gang. His story was that he was riding in a mini bus taxi with his friends to somewhere when a rival gang member shot at them. Probably a Norinco Type 54 model 213, they're very common here. The 9mm FMJ rounds went through the corner frame of the windshield of the mini bus and struck him in the shoulder/high chest area and in the jaw. Both bullets were intact without much deformation. The chest shot went through completely. The entry hole and exit holes looked pretty discreet. The one that struck his jaw was perfectly parallel to the inferior alveolar nerve canal on the left hand side of his mandible, resting just below the root apices of his teeth, stuck tightly in the alveolar bone (probably acted like a sponge/force absorber). We accessed the bullet by making an incision in the buccal sulcus and exposed the underlying bone, after which we rotated the bullet out using a Warwick James elevator, sutured him up and wired his maxilla and mandible together with the IMF technique. The force of the bullet, after passing through a vehicle frame, was adequate enough to fracture the angle of his mandible as the bone absorbed its force.

    I’m 42. Accepted the red dots on pistols with open arms lol. I’m military, so I’ll still have to train and qualify on the M18 with irons as well as sustainment training since I’m a firearms instructor, so I have no choice to stay proficient with them which is a good thing. On my personal firearms I have a RMR and a Delta Point Pro. I do a lot of drawing and dry fire practice at home with the red dots though to stay proficient with them as well, it took some practice at first to immediately pick up the dot, but second nature with enough practice.

    Hello Coach Lucas , i have a question about some pistol Technics .
    First of all thanks for your education and demonstration in each videos.
    I have been following it for a while and using those useful tips as well.
    Recently i have a question about " Turn around " .
    Which is mean i stand still pull out the pistol and shoot the target right in front of me , and then next shot ( next target ) is right behind me ,So i have to turn like 180 degree to shoot the target right behind me in the most efficient way.( It' simulate a real situation like i have an enemy in-front of me , i deal with it already , but i heard one appears right behind me , i have to turn around ASAP to deal with it ).
    Could you teach us how to do one shot to the front target and turn 180 degree around to shoot the Target , which were right behind , with pistol in the most efficient way ?
    GBB IPSC beginner player from Taiwan.
    God bless you , and you guys in USA during this pandemic time .
    Thanks for the constant warm support from US.

    Red dot for older students. I attended a P.O.S.T. instructor course earlier this year where I was the oldest student, at about the same age as the head instructor. The small department where I work the lead instructor has been an “iron sights” only guy. I’m an above average shooter with good basic fundamentals and I performed well enough during qualifications to become selected as an apprentice instructor. While in the instructor course, it became apparent my eyes are getting worse as I no longer have clear front sight focus as all my sights and the target are a slight blur, even with prescription glasses. The head instructor of the school recommended a red dot due to my aging eyes. My lead instructor was attending the same course, as a refresher, and the head instructor of the class finally convinced my lead instructor older officers may need to transition to a red dot. My long winded way of saying transitioning to red dot may be out of necessity for older people, but you must continue to practice good basic fundamentals. Thanks for the video!

    Tritium night sights with fiber optics are definitely very easy to see with a light on. I night shoot all the time, and if anything the weapon light amplifies the glow because of the open ports for the fiber optics. They end up capturing light from your flashlight and it’s a very nice combo. So if you want night sights, get tritium fiber optic combo! They’re great! Half life is also rated 12 years, not five.

      I love fiber optics so so much. When it comes to the iron sight platform as a whole they are vastly superior to anything out..... But there's one thing DRASTICALLY holding them back and that's durability. I've wanted to transition fibers into my edc and defensive use firearms but sadly I've yet to come across "duty" worthy fiber optics. Fiber optics have a home only on the range toys sadly.

    G45-black 19X cloned with maritime cups, oem +2’s (2 out of 3, left 1 flush 17) lanyard ring in black….better magwell for oem Glock 33’s and 24’s…. Johnny Glocks combat trigger system (with vex shoe and firing pin) SilencerCo threaded barrel, slide custom milled for RM06 as LOW as it can go. Then I did some Dremeling on my own…nice lil gas lever for my weak hand thumb and double undercuts for higher grip and weak hand finger comfort. Metal pins too. From all I’ve heard I keep the stock Glock plastic guide rod….and I only run federal LE 147’s or Speer 147’s as they sound nice going through an osprey 2.0. Oh….and an Ameriglo “CAP” front sight in biolume green with single tritium….and 2 tritium serrated rear. I don’t need any Gucci stipling but have considered some more custom milling or maybe an aftermarket slide with rm06 ready cuts. All black everything.

    One of the things about carrying smaller like the p365 instead of a glock is that you still have to be able to conceal it. If you're 5'5 and 120lb you can't conceal a glock very easily
