    Another Action Man standing proud and glad of his heritage! Well Done, Dave! Great job!
    EDITED to add: I found an original helmet, complete with stickers, chin strap and goggles in amongst the Action Man boxes at my Mum’s house. Although, I would have followed your tips to restore another helmet.

      It's one I had as a child along with the bike, but only saw it again recently. It's great!

      In Argentina it is impossible to get this uniform, I am thinking of dyeing in black one of German officer who is in very bad condition, and doing the parts repro

      It really is. The bely is still listed on ebay for £15. It's just way out of my price bracket.

    Well done, where would you get a replacement visor? Cant seem to find one anywhere

    Thought this fix it guide was coming after your reply to my comments in your last Action Man video. I will definitely be making myself a scarf, i'm going to use a cotton hanky for near as perfect match to the original as i can get. If i get hold of an original belt, i'll let you know!

    • @toypolloi
      @toypolloi  6 років тому

      I just couldn't find any parts for him at a good price, so it seems silly not to just make them. I've never actually seen an original scarf, so this is my best guess at the texture. Cheers

    • @TheToyBoy1978
      @TheToyBoy1978 6 років тому +1

      Well i might be wrong about the scarf, i just assumed that because of the edge stitching which you see on other cotton AM scarves, i'm going to ask Nick (Nicks toy barn) as i'm pretty sure he has an original!

      The photos i have which I based this pattern on show now sewing on the edges at all. Just a cut piece of fabric. It might be there are different versions, but all the images I found showed it as a very simple triangle of fabric.

      Well with Action Man, that certainly wouldn't surprise me at all!

    I doubt the belt is bothering you too much, but if it is, then see if you can get one from another 1:6 scale figure online at one of the little shops that sell that kind of stuff. You may be able to find one very cheap with a gold buckle. I'm thinking you can get one for less than a dollar to about two dollars with postage. A lot of that kind of stuff comes from China and isn't bad. The belt itself is just fine if you want to leave it as is. Again, if you are looking for replacements for outfits and you either cannot make them yourself or you want something similar, go to Ebay and look up the little shops that sell that stuff in 1;6 scale.. I like your restoration as is:). Great work, m my friend.

    What is your best method for taking apart the body on a vintage Star Wars figure please help!!!!!

    • @toypolloi
      @toypolloi  6 років тому

      It depends on the figure. Jedi figures come apart very easily with a knife and twist. Boil and pop is easier for the rest.

      Toy Polloi I’m actually wanting to take apart a couple boba fetts if you wouldn’t mind a tutorial video on that would be awesome

    • @toypolloi
      @toypolloi  6 років тому

      I don't often come across beater Fetts. Everybody wants him no matter the condition. But I know a few others what me to cover restoring him.

      Toy Polloi if I were to send you a beater Boba Fett and a rocket firing replica would you consider doing a video with them?

      UA-cam seems to do this sometimes. Try un-subbing, then re-subbing and clicking the bell icon. That should make sure you get all future updates.

    nice as usual, would it be ok if the scarf was on the outside of the shirt?

    • @toypolloi
      @toypolloi  6 років тому

      You can put the scarf where you want. I prefer it on the inside as the edges are not finished.

    So, Toylanta/joe Lanta is in two weeks, and you have a huge following amongst our population. Anything you want us to keep an eye out for you? I founded the show 18 years ago, and over time it morphed into a registered charity with the goal of teaching kids sculpting, model making and storytelling with toys as the medium (the carrot as it were). Now we are getting ready to buy our mobile toy museum/ teaching laboratory! A lot of hard work starting to pay off! Www.toylanta.com. Would you like us to play any of your videos in our film festival?

      Hey, that sounds great. Wish I was in the USA to come along. Feel free to play any of my videos. Drop me a line via Facebook or the email on my website.
