  • In today's video: let's find some cute cafés around Jeonpo Cafe Street! The cafe hopping culture in South Korea is so strong - Busan even has a neighborhood just for that ☕️😊 This was a "work day" for me (...but, at night!), so I didn't want to do anything too exhausting - I simply "cafe hopped" with my watercolors 🖌️ The next day, I wanted to explore a new neighborhood - Gwangalli! It's famous for the Gwangan bridge and the drone show at night ✨ I found two cute cafés there again! I miss Korean cafés so much 🥺❤️ Hope you had fun following along these more "chill days" with me in Busan ☺️ 🌻

    about me: 29-yo, born in France 🇫🇷 raised by Portuguese immigrants parents 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧🇵🇹 I never had the chance to travel when I was younger so, as soon as I managed to save up some money, I took off 🛫 At 19yo, I moved to live and study for a year in Athens, Greece 🇬🇷 At 22, I moved for an internship in Miami, USA 🇺🇸 before getting another opportunity to work and study in Montreal, Canada 🇨🇦 At 24, I did my last master degree semester as an exchanged student in São Paulo, Brazil 🇧🇷 Fell in love with the country, got a job, and been based in Rio de Janeiro ever since. After some personal health issues, I realized life is too short not to explore the world more… I’ve always loved documenting my days (journaling, scrapbooking) and knowing the next months would be full of travels, I thought, why not vlog it? I’m sure future-me will be very happy to look back at these videos! Hope you do too ☺️

    Hello, milo-san. This is your third Busan blog, right? Gwangan Bridge looks similar to Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge in Japan. And there were lots of café stores! The beach at night also reminded me of Disneyland.
    Thank you very much.🥐☕🎨

    Hello Milo! All the food in this video all looked so good, especially the brunch at your type café! You've made me very hungry haha! Sorry to see you had to deal with some work stuff while you were on holiday, but it certainly looked like you had a relaxed chilled time otherwise. That's what I love about your vlogs, I watch them when I get back from work and instantly feel more relaxed and calm, so thank you, I hope your time doing these things is as chilled as I as a viewer feel watching it! 😊 ✨⭐🌟

      Aaaaah no no I wasn't actually on holidays... I was working that week in Busan! But with the timezone difference, the weekend in the middle, and a bank holiday too.. I managed to have a few adventures still! ☺️
      I am so glad my videos are helping you relax ❤️❤️❤️ they are also strangely relaxing for me when I edit them! ☺️🌱
      Thank you for watching until the end!! ❤️ ✨⭐🌟✨⭐🌟✨⭐🌟✨

    A very calming video! I love the cafe you visited! So stylish! It makes me feel nostalgic! Maybe that's the vintage vibe it gives. The beach looks like fun without being too noisy or crowded. Thank you for showing this beautiful city! ❤

    Having fun following along on your "chill days"... Glad you took some time for yourself after busy work day. Hope you feel healed and relaxed!
    Busan has a great cafe scene and you have a knack of finding just the right ones with perfect ambience. Private garden shop was nice... why not have something for yourself from there as a souvenir?
    Feeling just like you do about Gwangan bridge (not sure i like it or not). It looks like an engineering marvel. Aesthetically, I feel it could have been better... besides, i feel that, in some ways, it takes away the natural beauty of the beach and ocean view. I think it looks better lit up in the night. Loved the drone show. It was spectacle... but no so much the crowd. BTW, Was that a Canadian flag flying on the sail boat under the bridge??!!
    Loved your Kyoto paintings and thanks for sharing your process. Keep it up! 👍
    🌟🌠🎆 Look fwd to the next vlog... take care and stay safe!

      So, actually, since I am traveling full time (I work online while I travel!) I don't have a home anymore... So, whenever I buy something, I have to commit that I will have to carry it around everywhere 😅 Hence why I usually buy useful things or postcards that I keep for myself! Maybe the paintings are also a mean for me to take a little part of the place around with me... 🥰
      Agree about Gwangan Bridge!! It's for sure an engineering marvel... but I am not sure it's making the landscape prettier! 😂
      Oh, I didn't see the Canadian flag! Maybe a Canadian sailor passing by?? ☺️
      PS: just posted a new Busan vlog! the second to last already 🥺

      (ポッドキャストに関しては、私はフランス語のポッドキャストをよく聴きます!)

    would you say Japan is Cafe and Tech whilst Korea is cafe and fashion focused in terms of the shops on the main strips?
    Also what was with the camping themed drone show? 😅

    • @storiesofmilo
      @storiesofmilo  3 місяці тому +1

      Mmmm interesting! I spent a few months in Korea while I spent only 2 weeks in Japan, so it's hard to compare :/
      But as an overall feeling, I thought Korea was way more tech (everything is phone/credit card) while in Japan, you still need to have cash everywhere you go... As for fashion, I thought that Japan was more original - like, comparing the two "hype" neighborhood Itaewon (KR) and Harajuku (JP), I'd say you would see much more fashion expression in Japan!
      Overall, Japan feels more traditional and Korea seems more modern - both have good and bad sides 😂 But I think it makes sense for both, regarding their history mainly (one was separated from the rest of the world, while the other needed the rest of the world to survive (the USA) // one was a colonizer, while the other was colonized... etc)

    • @storiesofmilo
      @storiesofmilo  3 місяці тому +1

      HAHAHA as for the Camping theme - camping is suuuuper popular in Korea!! I had Korean friends who explained to me that "trends" are very important in Korea - once there's a trend.... everyone follows!! And right now, it's camping 😂

    • @_Murky_
      @_Murky_ 3 місяці тому +1

      @@storiesofmilo oh yes very good points, it did seem people in Korea wore very similar clothes, the modern minimalist look. I think their recent history of both countries may also explain the city landscape and skyline.

    • @storiesofmilo
      @storiesofmilo  3 місяці тому

      Yesss, I think it's again another of these "trendy" things... People wear the same clothings/colors, it's crazy! 😂
      Totally, Korea was bombed a lot so, even for the historical places, a lot of them are new/rebuilt... Doesn't take away from the beauty of it, though!
