  • In today's video: for my last day in Busan, I had only planned to go to a café nearby, do some watercolors, keep it relaxing... But then, I realized there was one place I needed to say goodbye to before jumping on my next plane 🥹 I jumped into the first bus going to Huinyeoul village! As soon as I arrived, I passed by a cute café... with the most amazing view! I sat by a charming window to paint, sipping on my vanilla latte ☕️ It was, too soon, time to go, and I walked around the village, absorbing a big of it beauty before jumping again into another bus... To the airport! ✈️

about me: 29-yo, born in France 🇫🇷 raised by Portuguese immigrants parents 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧🇵🇹 I never had the chance to travel when I was younger so, as soon as I managed to save up some money, I took off 🛫 At 19yo, I moved to live and study for a year in Athens, Greece 🇬🇷 At 22, I moved for an internship in Miami, USA 🇺🇸 before getting another opportunity to work and study in Montreal, Canada 🇨🇦 At 24, I did my last master degree semester as an exchanged student in São Paulo, Brazil 🇧🇷 Fell in love with the country, got a job, and been based in Rio de Janeiro ever since. After some personal health issues, I realized life is too short not to explore the world more… I’ve always loved documenting my days (journaling, scrapbooking) and knowing the next months would be full of travels, I thought, why not vlog it? I’m sure future-me will be very happy to look back at these videos! Hope you do too ☺️

It was unexpected to me as well how much I enjoyed Busan, and next week Singapore YAY!! It's been in my travel wish list since forever (thanks to my grandpa always telling me how much he liked it when he stopped there on his way to Australia) so I can't wait!! I always get the feeling I travel along with you, and your sketchbooks are so cute, what a great way to keep the memory of the various places visited (although whenever I try to sketch in public I die of embarrassment ahah) 🥞💖

I am so glad you enjoyed Busan!! I know it's not a famous "tourist hotspot" but I loved it so much! Such a hidden gem in northern Asia!
This is exactly what I am going for: I want people to feel like we're wondering together 🥰 No worries about sketching in public: most people can't see or don't care 😭😂
See you next week in Singapore!!! ❤️😍

Hello once again Milo! A beautiful charming vlog, thank you! That "last day of holiday" feeling is the worst, but the happiness we experience before it always makes it worthwhile, I think! I had to double take when I saw a map of north east England in the first cafe, do you know anything about where the owners are from? Also the relief I felt when you chose to read Harry Potter over Twilight in that cafe was immense 😂😂 Have you considered selling your Busan watercolours btw? The finished drawings you shown at the end were really impressive! Looking forward to seeing Singapore with you in a few days 😌🥰 🥞

Helloooooo again 😍 Thank you for watching!! ❤️ And commenting!
No idea about where the owners are from but all the books were in English + the newspaper too... Some hints! haha
Hahahahahaha 😂 I do believe the Twilight books are iconic in their own way 😂 I wouldn't re-read them as much as I re-read Harry Potter though...
I would love to sell prints of my watercolors but I am not sure yet how it would work... I am very picky on the quality of the paper and that would them expensive to sell 😅
I will be posting the first Singapore vlog now! Hope you like it 🥰

    建物の隙間から見える海は、なぜ人を引き付けるのでしょうか?🤔
    私は小説が読めない体質です🤪 しかし、何度も繰り返し読んだ小説が二つだけあります。
    Richard Bach “Illusions”

So glad you took one last opportunity to get lost in the alleyways of Huinyeoul village - such a lovely view from the cafe rooftop!... Indeed, it looks like paradise. I am very, very, very happy for you... I'd also be as heartbroken as you were leaving this beautiful place. But then... who knows, something even more fascinating awaits you! Keep travelling and we will be with you! 🥞🥞
All 3 books you recommended have been on my reading list for a long time... time to pick them up and read😀One book I read recently read was Robin Wall Kimmerer's "Braiding Sweetgrass"... it is a very different topic, but quite relevant to our times. I learnt so much from it and changed my whole perspective. I wish the world would take a page or two from it... anyways, thats my recommendation (try the audiobook read by the author herself)
... and as always, thank you so much for taking us along and sharing your stories! 🤗

I just watched Be With You (that you recommended last time) and I cried my eyes out!!! 😭❤️ I can't say thank you for the recommendation just yet... My eyes need to dry before that 😂 The plot of this movie reminded me of a Korean tv show I watched this year - Lovely Runner - it's more light-hearted, but still has this theme of destiny/choosing your path... And just like in Be With You, the characters fall in love with each other without knowing about the other - adorable!
Thank you for watching this video until the end!! 🥞❤️
I'll write down your book recommendation - hope I won't cry this time!
Thank you again for passing by! 🌹🌺🌻🌼🌷

@@storiesofmilo I'm sorry Milo that it made you cry so bad! I was surprised myself how much it moved me deeply! But i hope you liked watching it...I liked it so much that I thought worth sharing when you told us Shinji's story (BTW, i think you are good story teller!).
In a way, I'm glad that you watched the movie... because I somehow felt that you could connect with it (may be through the Korean context). Also, because I feel that it is good to be reminded of the delicate emotions and thoughts once in while. We often end up becoming oblivious to them, esp. when we are travelling far to catch our dreams.
Don't worry the book recommendation is not such a tear-jerker 😆... i think it is a bit more practical and opens up our eyes to live simply and practice gratitude in life (among many other things to learn from an Indigenous perspective which is often ignored)... and, perhaps, save the earth from human-inflicted catastrophes (that part might get slightly heavier ☺)
