Btw if anyone is interested in playing SWAT 3, installing the Last Resort mod (It's a higher resolution/better textures/compatibility fix mod) pretty much fixes all of the compatibility issues.
Fun seeing and reminiscing about these classics. Setting up and creating a tactical plan similar to Doorcrashers and having it run like clockwork was one of my favourite parts of the OG Rainbow 6 games. I remember refusing to play Raven Shield because I was upset the guns took half the screen and that they dumbed it down too much lol.
Heroes Unleashed is an amazing mod for Ghost Recon. Raven Shield 2.0 with supply drop is and amazing mod for Raven Shield. Same for Last Resort for Swat 3 and Elite Force for Swat 4. Still have most of these games installed and i play them from time to time. I also want to mention Hidden & Dangerous, specially the second one, great game.
When I first played the original R6 & Delta Force at around 16yrs old - I knew what the genre for me was. Been amazing seeing it evolve; I just wish there were more now at the same level of quality that RoN is! Still got high hopes for GB. Operator is showing some promise too.
You should try Hidden and Dangerous 2. While many games are trying to be spiritual successors to Rainbow six/Swat, there is NOTHING like H&d, it's a gem that no one has ever dared to replicate and frankly it still pisses on many tactical squad based games.
Man I used to play that game with my uncle back in the day. Good times. I remember how you could plan out the movement of your teammates it was awesome.
Swat 4 is so nostalgic for me it was my child hood swat game and now I’m into the ready game or not scene would be awesome to see a possible swat 5 with all the original mechanics but better graphics
I had so much fun with SWAT3 as a kid. So funny to think we would just go to the store and buy a game without knowing what it is and if it even works lol
31:08 Joint Operations Typhone Rising. I've played that game a lot. I think it was 1 of the first games with over 128 players online... crazy! I think I've still got it laying around on disks.. nostalgic man!
Rainbow six 3 raven shield never dies!😄 (Ubisoft golden era) ...but SWAT4 was the best, hands down 🏆🥇 RON is a good successor, it would be even better with more advanced bots cops AI, they move too much in room clearing. There were also good military games: all Ghost recons (terrible AI, older were more about simulation), full spectrum warrior, close combat first to fight, operation flashpoint... list is long. Done most of them 😆
The Brothers in Arms games are much more “tactical” than “shooter” because of the emphasis on squad leadership and how they modeled shooting, but I’d still recommend them
One thing that both swat 4 and RON don’t have that swat 3 did was an 8 (or was it 10?) man career with an entire separate AI swat team that was actually competent. I feel RON could really do well with a correctly implemented system like that especially with massive levels filled with suicidal bad guys later on.
Great one 👍 Feels like a flashback to me. I played hours -no month. My favourite is r6 six raven shield and Athena Sword and then Vega 1&2 Greetings from Germany
was there a reason why you didnt adjust the resolution setting that I missed? All these games have the possibility to atleast be played at somwhere like 1440x900 instead of 600x600
The excuse for hawk ops not being tactical/realistic and going arcade instead is because the game is gonna crossplay with mobile and for smartphones tactical games doesn't really play with touch.
Was really gutted with the delta force reveal. Looks like black ops with a delta force sticker over the title. Delta force blackhawk down one the best shooters. The squad controls where great you could command how teams spaced out Damn ready or not the closest to what i look for but even then some things older games did better "Why can't things be how they were"
This delta force game has nothing to do with the classic ones. Its a shame too as i was hoping for a new delta force land warrior, at least the multiplayer part.
Felt exactly the same about delta force. Typical, non binary, colourful gen z operators and stupid "abilities". The campaign style/groundedness would have been legendary. So we what they forget is, when a game is exactly the same as others in trying to follow the trend and cash out, you game will be forgotten in 10 years.. trends prioritised over standing out, getting awards for innovation and being spoken of still by fans in 10-15 years. Its sad. Sign of the times, film, music, games, art, humans cant create original, complex, beautiful pieces anymore. Creatively dead.

ROGUE SPEAR was my favourite, along with thee firstt Ghost Recon and delta force 2 🤩
+1

swat3 is the best fps game ever made. Its extremely immersive and feels like you are living in the 1990s. 🎃
All of my favourites, except Operation Flashpoint present. Great video bro! ❤
You should try Hidden and Dangerous 2.

100%, it was similar to a Ghost Recon set in WW2. Super fun!
Most of these are my childhood. I played the OG rainbow six on the N64 and that’s what introduced me to tactical shooters

Check SWAT: Commander

... that's debatable ;)
grew up playing those old delta force games. cool to see them again!

Oh man, you missed the Conflict series! Desert Storm / Vietnam
Yeah I was thinking about that one. I used to play that as a kid as well.
SWAT3 was and still is my fav tactical shooter of the era
2:51 yassss! Man i miss games being like this planning your mission in rainbow six. So gutted what r6 become
SWAT 4 SERIES! Great vid man ❤
Delta force land warrior online was my jam when i was 15.
was there a reason why you didnt adjust the resolution setting that I missed? All these games have the possibility to atleast be played at somwhere like 1440x900 instead of 600x600
Hidden & Dangerous 2 was another great one
Nice video, but.... where the hell is Operation Flashpoint?! Major oversight!
I swear the castle mission in Ghost Recon 1 was a night mission.
it is. you see here the MP version of the map, which is set during the day
The first rainbow six on PlayStation had the gun model visible and a different campaign than the PC/N64 versions

It's amazing whatvild shooter fans put up with, with how bad old control schemes were.

project IGI. this one was hardcore!
Omg all the cool OG games
More of these! this is sick
I still ply OG delta force! 6 year old me was made a gamer bc of Delta Force
Hi how do I play ready or not with no side mouse buttons
You know you can change keybinds/sensitivity etc.
SWAT 3 works great on newer systems with the GOG release.
Not for me lol
@@OfficialInvictus Oh, you said you bought it on Steam so I assumed you tried that version.
@@1521Palm Ah. Yeah you're right. I looked it up on GOG and it was more expensive.
We the people. Demand SWAT 5. I think the AI In swat 4 is actually better than ready or not.
... and here, folks, we understand exactly WHY the modern tactical shooters suck.
Just dropped a Delta Force video. It’s BF2042 but free… big bummer
Epic games owns fortnite not tencent tencent owns pubg i think
Tencent owns Epic Games and Pubg.
Ooohhh
swat 4 felt like a massive cartoon compared to swat 3, loved swat 3
I thought SOCOM was decent
Yes, that and Conflict Desert Storm. Unfortunately, I believe SOCOM wasn't available for PC.
swat 3 AI is better than swat 4
Yea new delta force sorry and boring just cod clone.
