Hey Loepsie, I truly admire your work. You're one of the few youtubers who actually bring something new, work hard for their videos (I guess there's a LOT of research involved), you seem really passionate about what you do and you never fail to entertain me through your videos. Thank you so much for that!
you are so talented girl... really. Always love your beauty beacons video. Very few youtubers actually do what they love. And every time you upload a beauty beacon video it does show your love for history.:)
This was a beautiful video. Since a lot of people are voting for you to do Queen Elizabeth 1, could you please use her Armada portrait? This was painted in the 1580's. Another possible beauty Gabrielle d'Estrées though Margaret of Valois is more famous. Elizabeth of Austria, Louise of Lorraine, Maria Anna of Bavaria, Anne of Austria... are other women active in that rough period.
I love this series so much! I could never recreate any of these looks (nor do I want to), but I really love reading/watching stuff about history. Beauty history especially.
Wonderful! I love ALL of your hair tutorials, modern or historic alike! Also you have such gorgeous hair! I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering where you got this beautiful hair bow..
LOL, I have experience using so many power tools and working on my car and gardening...soldering even, and it never once crossed my mind to wear gloves for curling my hair! HA! Learn something new every day...
Potato starch. I sometimes use it as a dry shampoo. When I use too much of it, it makes my hair look grey like in 18th century :D And it holds better than a plain flour
This is truly beautiful- I love the movie The Duchess ! All that “teasing “ ; Omg it was almost making my head hurt watching the teasing ! Can you try the Princess of Wales in the movie BraveHeart ?
+PowerToolsofJustice It's partly my hair, for some reason it untangles on its own. I can go days without brushing my hair and nothing will happen, actually I often have trouble making a teased hairstyle last until I've filmed the intro, it just untangles! But I also brush it with a tangle teezer starting at the bottom and that usually works just fine
Princess Isabelle ( from Brave Heart ) . Sophie Marceau is a notably beautiful actress and played the Princess Isabelle with such exquisite beauty and grace.
i loved the video :)) if you want could you do Yolande de Polastron please ?? she was known to be beautiful and was a confidant of Marie Antoinette xx thank you!!
Hey Loepsie, Georgiana Cavendish's hairstyle looks really beautiful. Could you tell me what dress georgiana wore? Baroque or Rococo? And what petticoat or panier did she wear? 😊
Thank you, you are lovely! This is gorgeous! I wish it may come back as a new trend. Have you thought to recreate hairstyles from paintings or sculpture and may be start a serie about fashion in art through history? Frida Khalo could be a nice subject in between art and beauty beacons.
+Loepsie Sorry! I checked it out. You're doing a great job in those videos too, I don't understand the flop. May be now that you have your fan club you'll interest them more to art and styling through history. Like Iris Apfel said : "if you're not interested you're not interesting". Keep up the good work, I always learn something in most pleasant way. 😘
Much of the makeup used in the 18th century contained such wonderful ingredients as arsenic, lead, and mercury. The hair would have included a lot of hairpieces and usually a cage that the hair was combed over to give it the incredible height. One of the most spectacular accessories would have been a fully rigged sailing ship YUMM
I've always wondered how could women of the 18th century do... anything with those hairstyles! I do a small puff on the top of my head and I feel that I'll mess it up if I walk. I guess they just got used to it. Anyways, great video as always! The quality just keeps going up 💖💖 hugs from Paraguay!
So beautiful as always. Love your videos. Have you ever thought of using baby powder on your hair instead of flour? Thank you again for the fascinating looks. 🎀
+Adios Epic They definitely didn't do it on themselves :) They had handmaidens or hair stylists who would do it about once in two months, or more often if the lady was wealthy and fashionable. The hairstyle would last that long
Well yes, but the techniques used historically.... how in the world did they manage to achieve such extreme and long-lasting styling without the products we have today? Do you know of any site/sources of the encyclopedia type that explain historical beauty technicalities?

+Loepsie How do you untease your hair? I always end up ripping out half my hair trying to untangle it, surely you have a better method.
+PowerToolsofJustice It's partly my hair, for some reason it untangles on its own. Thank you, you are lovely! This is gorgeous! I wish it may come back as a new trend. Have you thought to recreate hairstyles from paintings or sculpture and may be start a serie about fashion in art through history?
Frida Khalo could be a nice subject in between art and beauty beacons.
+Laura Dani I had a series like that a couple of years ago and it was a total flop, haha! I may give it another go somewhere in the future :)
+Loepsie Sorry! I checked it out. You're doing a great job in those videos too, I don't understand the flop. +Loepsie Thank you!:)

Marta Cardozo that was the point of that style. Prove how rivh you were by useless your clothing and hsir rendered you.
Women of a certain class weren't expected to do anything.
She was in love with Charles Gray during her lifetime
How about Jeanette Jerome? She was extremely beautiful and powerful!
Can you do an Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe (think that's how you spell it, not sure)
ancient Greek hairstyle plzz do that. or roman.
Maureen O' Hara. An Irish beauty ♡
I bet it takes awhile to wash out your tangled, floured hair when you're done with this! We appreciate your sacrifice. ^_^
Can you please do more of these 18th century hairstyles?
What is the purpose of the flour?
When you wash your hair after making one of these videos does it clump up like cake batter? 😂 because of the water acting with the flour
QE2!!!
i love 18th century and the 1980s! LOL I hope you do an 80s series
I just found your channel and I love it! Could you do Helen of Troy, Lady Godiva, or Joan of Arc? 😄
So beautiful as always. Love your videos. Have you ever thought of using baby powder on your hair instead of flour? Thank you again for the fascinating looks. 🎀
So pretty :3 reminds me of Elsa (please keep in mind I'm not roleplaying as her)
elsa1942 lol!! "elsa" why is elsa still so popular? why was it in first place.
Can you do Queen Nefertiti or Carrie Fisher next please? Love the video, as always :)
why the powder?
The hair powder? To give the hair texture, like heavy dry shampoo so the hair will stay in place
Princess kate
jean shrimpton
great video as always! around 4:31 your hair looks quite a bit like an octopus haha
You should do Marilyn Monroe
all that flour and heat together can't be good. does that make you smell a bit like pastry?
I know 18 century men hair is long .

Poor hairs
+marguery stark Hahaha it looks worse than it actually is ;)
You have beautiful big eyes ❤️
I would say this hairstyle is more romantic
I have a (strange) question ... how did they do this back in the day? Did her servants also tease her her hair and heat up some iron rods in the fire?
+Adios Epic They definitely didn't do it on themselves :) They had handmaidens or hair stylists who would do it about once in two months, or more often if the lady was wealthy and fashionable. The hairstyle would last that long

The dot on the face represents the political party
