Lillie's How does a lack of empathy compel psychopaths to feel the need to control people? It doesn’t make mathematical sense, I don’t see what the benefit is of controlling people all the time unless it has a legitimate purpose...I don’t try controlling people personally myself therefore I am unable to understand why a psychopath would allegedly try to be in control of other people, makes no sense, Why would a person have this senseless need for control of other people just because they are unable to have empathy for other people? Doesn’t add up.
-Also it doesn’t make sense that a psychopath doesn’t contribute to society...because it doesn’t make sense that a lack of empathy would stop someone from being able to contribute to society, but something that can cause someone to be unable to contribute to society is a lack of intellect. So how does someone having a lack of empathy equate to someone having a lack of intellect? I bet a lot of the stuff this guy says has no evidence, it doesn’t make sense. But it does make sense that bullies in general are psychopaths, oh well. There needs to be an incentive for bullies not to be bullies and instead be respectful to other people, I don’t like disrespectful people.

Years later I was working as a copywriter for a children's educational website. This should have been my ideal job. I was going to use my talents as a writer for a positive cause. But my immediate boss and the head of HR made my life a living hell. They totally gaslighted me. I should have documented their behavior and evil deeds, and gone over their heads to the woman who owned the company. But instead I just quit. I should have gone over their heads. I was bullied through high school and a couple of jobs. You really have to talk to these people like they're children., if they're your co-workers. Boss? Good luck with that.. A veteran (co-worker of the office) told me when I started, "I make people cry sometimes. I am who I am and I'm blunt" then leaned into my space. She relished that fact. I laughed and said, "I was so blunt at my last job a guy went home and hung himself. Making people cry is child's play. Move back, I have work to do. Now!" She stayed out of my way but I saw her bully others. You have to grow a thick skin and be quick witted with bullies. They don't know what to do with that. I've also said, "Don't you have some animals to torture or old people to kick... I'd think twice before you start anything with me. In fact don't entertain that thought again. Now, get out of my face.." You have to take control. I made a pact with myself to never go through that again and I have. You'll go home and not worry about dreading the next day.

It became abundantly clear to me that the bully at work truly enjoys seeing other people in distress or suffering. They lost composure once and screamed at me for 45 minutes over something pretty insignificant (I accidentally showed up early on a bad weather day and received comp time for showing up anyway, and this person was LIVID about it (probably because I got those 2 hours of comp time for it). She was literally screaming at me for 45 minutes about it. I was obviously very disturbed by this, and so I went to this person's friend in the department next door to ask if she was OK because she's never spoken to me that way. Her friend told me she would go talk to her, and she did. So I know the bully was told that I had been upset at her yelling and screaming. Then, the very next day within two hours of the start of the workday, she found the very next opportunity to make me feel small and ridicule me over something. That alone told me that this is a person who genuinely enjoys and is neurologically rewarded by seeing other people suffer and seeing other people in distress. Absolute sociopath. Monster. Who does that?? When I know that my actions have upset somebody, I usually go out of my way to make sure they are OK and that I don't ever make them feel that way again. Only a psychopath/sociopath seeks out more opportunities and engineers the environment to intentionally make people feel distress. MONSTER.

    • @mosaicowlstudios
      @mosaicowlstudios 11 місяців тому +1

@AnthonyManzio The best I've been able to do is make it clear to my department leadership that the bullying behavior is 100% unacceptable and that I WILL continue to speak out against it if it continues to occur. Then I filed an official complaint and there was an investigation, which concluded that "the behavior of the employee in question could and should improve, but the misbehavior does not rise to the level of a policy violation." It still says the behavior should improve. So I made that clear and told my boss that if it didn't I would keep saying things. Now, when the bully is being a little aggressive to someone in their office, our boss literally walks to her door and shuts it. What that says to me is that our boss is interested in improving the standards of our workplace. The best you can hope for is a true change in the attitudes of leadership and an improvement of the standards, so that the bully has to choice but to improve their behavior, because if they don't then leadership will keep hearing about it. Helps to have a government office job where I cannot be fired unless my own performance suffers. Private industry will just let people go (at least in many places in the US)

burningknuckle26 That sucks, but you know what, i think its a testimony to your own honesty and conscientiousness that it did, they only pick on people they think will make good entertainment because they are pieces of shit themselves with no conscience and who you would probably find were jealous of you on some probably obvious way, ie were you younger? smarter? better looking? kinder? better at something than them, had better dress sense they liked (think of all the conversations you had with the predator because they arent really that clever and give themselves away), heinsight is 20/20, they are so pathetic they will even attack you for that, or are/were you more intelligent? if any of these traits belong to you AND you are of good character, chances are thats exactly why you were singled out for attack. so fuck those arseholes and take the lesson to learn the way of manipulative people ,before you manifest a narcissistic abuser as a lover or spouse, they really will disembowel you to heighten your conscious awareness . In this world its learn the nature of evil or die at its mercy p.s they have no mercy, or ethics or shame. Always remember you dont stand alone, human beings have been making arseholes for thousands of years but at least know that as long as you learned something about the nature of reality then it is for your betterment and education, it also heightens your empathy for others and maybe, just maybe might one day be a big piece of a great personality in an older wiser version of yourself. I think it pays to remeber that although narcissistic, parasite bullies often win in out conniving the blatantly honest, they cant change the fundamental nature of reality. What have they gained in victimising you or I anyway? A dirty little drug hit of power that lasted a tiny little moment at the expense of their own legacy, I think it sifts the pearls from the pigs when you see a dirty little moment, a cheap shot and they are so disgusting they take every opportunity, well done for themselves I say because its a lot harder to live and play by the rules of reality and be authentic than be a conscienceless lowlife with no respect for others and in the end themselves just for behaving that way, they know what they did was wrong and unfair. Id rather cease to exist than have such a horrible character and personality that has to undermine others to establish itself, they have no merit of their own and i could talk at length about bullying. There are different degrees of torture and the capacity each person has to inflict that on a person they know to be kind and honest, they have to live with THEMSELVES for ever, we get to walk away knowing who we are, remebering always that there actions are at there own door and have nothing to do with us, their opinion of us is irrelevant because who wants to be held in high opinion by an evil beast anyway? they will always be scumbags and everyone who supported their dirty warfare has blood on their hands and shame on their faces whether they realise it or not, most of them do it to protect themselves from the attack themselves, good to have gotten rid of them from our lives also as they were not worthy of a genuine friendship either, whether they realise it or not they are being used and abused also.
Remember if one has already got you once then its time to learn why any got in to begin with as if you look back they will have different personalities but once you do the homework you understand they all play from the same play book, its just getting a copy of their play book you need and then its aha after aha moment, not clever people at all just willing to do anything and really not caring who gets maimed emotionally, try learning about manipulative people and narcissistic abuse because i really REALLY wish I had trained my mind to recognise fake, deceptive outright exploitative or cruel behaviours and people years ago, I knew I was being gaslit to death and i always knew it was obvious they were scheming shit heads but they wouldnt exist at all or have any power if it wasnt for their spineless minions, so it goes a long way to have an education preemptively before evil educates you itself the hard way. There are people who can be trusted, they just have to EARN your trust first to really respect and appreciate you properly I think. hugs x chrys

If they don't want to really help, you need to either leave or take it further legally. They have unethical psychologists paid to make you look crazy and corrupt unions who all work together to move you on. Until your out of it you see how institutionalised bullying is..even in the so called helping professions. I would gather evidence on the people ignoring it and seek completely independent legal advice.

I agree. Im a woman and workplace bullying is so much worse than sexual harrasment.
Altho sexual harrassment can often be inside the bullying umbrella. But its nowhere near on the same level as the spirit crush of being told your absolute best work, when you are far more highly qualified than the bullies in the field, but as you say they are in positons of power. To be told by these weasels that your work is rubbish, when they dont produce anything, really hits you in the soul. You cant ignore it.

I've been dealing with a bully manager for almost two years. She has amped up her deplorable behaviour in the last few months. She has been bad mouthing me to my coworkers, saying she's going to replace me, complaining about me to my bosses about things she has never addressed with me. Even though both of my bosses have assured me they have no intentions of replacing me I feel so anxious and stressed at work it is distracting me from my job. At first I felt stubborn and didn't want to leave because that would be her "winning" but now I realise she won't win because it won't change the fact that everyone hates her, that she's a drunk who frequently gets hammered on the job, and she is clearly a misrable person who is so insecure she is an adult bully.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said in the video. Except when you mention there is nothing you can do. I think employees should fight against corporate bullying. Even if HR doesn't do anything there are organizations who can help you: EEOC, discrimination lawsuits. Corporate bullying involves harassment, discrimination, contributes to a hostile work enviroment. If you quit, then make sure you leave your mark. Make them fire you for exposing the bully. I wouldn't just slink away. I would document and expose the bully for the coward they are. Don't leave without a fight. Most targets are those who are leaders, competent, popular. Corporate bullies target because they are intimidated.

Hr is not your friend but it’s important to have a paper trail. Sometimes you have to document a persons behavior and that is the best way to get them back. Yes it may make people hate you at work but they know you are smart enough to put them on paper. My old manager harassed people and one day she went too far and messed with a high producing employee and he reported her and she got fired. I never forgot that. Document and work on your exit strategy. Don’t worry about how it look. Hr will gaslight you your manager will gaslight you but your goal is to get that paper trail. Every situation doesn’t require hr but you have to know which ones do. I stopped being afraid of getting fired after getting fired over petty mess. God always helped me find another job. That’s not a way of life but if sticking up for myself burns a bridge light it up! The paper trail lasts on that person long after you leave because that company knows that person is a bully so when they go to far they will use your documentation from 2 years ago to help thier case to get them outta there. You gotta realize the company will turn on the bully too when necessary. That is a smart payback.

I was "raised" by people like this, and both my siblings are this way. They are obsessed with power and control, and generally are rewarded for their abusive and bullying behaviors. Limiting contact, sharing no personal information, gaining allys to vent with, reporting the sociopath and learning to completely ignore character assassination to the point you genuinely don't give a fuck about anyone around you, can take the target off your back as you are not providing validation anymore.

I have some anxiety and flashbacks now. Educate yourself on these types of people and what and what not to do. Also if u already have been a victim of workplace bullying/harassment and your managers were aware but didn’t act; you can file a complaint with the EEOC. I also question the term "Bullying". Because people tend to think of bullying as a juvenile type dynamic. But actually, it's more like abuse and harassment. But it may not always be the case of abusing a protected class, but abuse in general. I feel like many people don't take the term Bullying seriously enough. Especially in relation to the workplace. I know that it generally includes emotional abuse, harassment, humiliation, sabotage and in some cases other (e.g., physical abuse and/or threats). Long term exposure to moderate to severe workplace "bullying" can be really hard on a person. It causes significant stress, emotional and mental health consequences, loss of good reputation, financial problems, even physical health consequences and trauma as well. Among other things. I feel like this should be illegal in workplaces. Sorry to say, it's not. At least in the U.S.

They tried going to human resources but they didn't do anything. His previous job was as a Director and he is hiring those that were under him. He is also paying them up to $5 dollars more if they switch to his place of practice.
My wife is also under pressure feels this person is adding more work than what a person can do. For example; moving people around to isolate a person to obligate more responsibilities to that isolated person, till they quit.
I told my wife that he is using this method to get rid of people. This method is ruining the work environment for those that planned to retire with the company.

Workplace bullying is the same as school bullying...learn to evade if possible but if SHTF...you have to learn to assert yourself and learn the ropes and enhance your arsenal. Theres the Union, find more friends within and create a group of your own - social and emotional support, sometimes learning and being a fan of martial arts helps as sometimes asserting yourself by simply raising your voice and finding fault in that person so as to simply bounce back their style. Be brave-fight back

Most people grow up from children to adults. Some children just get older. Psychopath/bullies are the latter.

I had a work place bully. I stood up to him and put that punk in his place. He portrayed himself as the victim. Always stand up to a bully.

I was baited by my former manager. And each time I reacted she framed me as the bad one. Usually they are keeping a paper trail and under GDPR you can raise a freedom of information request to see what lies they are documenting and then send this to HR. They will be forced to settle. Also join a union if you can and document everything

❤Thank you so much for this video. It is years old but came up in my recommendations. I'm on my own. This was like talking to a real welcome long lost friend. When you started saying about going dizzy at the PC and how you understood I felt as if you was talking just to me. Brought tears to my eyes. I'm so grateful that you understand. Thank you for being completely realistic and validating. You are so right about advice videos it just ends up worse if you was to follow them. When you feel deep down that you know there's nothing you can do and why there's nothing you can do and it's like there's nowhere to turn, then at least having somebody who completely understands somebody who gets it and speaks to you decently and kindly, well all I can say is, you helped a lot tonight.
❤❤❤ Thank you for keeping your video in place. You are so kind 🕊️

You have to be stronger dude. Realize who you are dealing with, find their weaknesses, don't get mad GET EVEN. You can fuck with psychopaths right back, if the paycheck is big enough it's worth it. :) YOU are in control of YOU. No one else

Thank god! “Banning psychopaths“ from the workplace, yes!
There is literally no defense against them. The charm , the manipulation, the covert put downs and inexplicable things that go wrong at work. Four of us under this manager have sought help from neurologists , psychiatrists......and forget EAP and HELP.org. They’ll just say quit.

I feel like it's the other way around, the majority are psychopsths/narcissists. When you say most people want to be left alone, I disagree. Most people like drama and conflict. Not many people have empathy. But you described them to a tee lol

Yep we have two , ones a narcissist , still promoting himself 20 years after doing a 20 minute job , acutally a rough job , it should have taken 1 ½ , Im so good ! . There is so much that crosses over i:e covert work place bully , social bullying , even social mobbing.

Four people at a former employer's office had some form of inflammatory bowel disease. Two of us (including myself) ended up in the hospital on the same day (in my case, for internal bleeding). There is no way that was random.

I am pretty sure that I just got done dealing with a psychopath at my internship. She did something very bad to me, and I did absolutely nothing to deserve it. I did politely ask for more challenging assignments, and then I began to notice odd things about her behavior. Then on my last day there, she basically forced me to do something that I wasn't comfortable with, and then pulled a stunt that made me look very bad. I wasn't doing anything wrong, but the way she was approaching me and rushing me made me uncomfortable. Then, things went downhill. It's a bit of a long story, but, she verbally abused me, yelled at me, insulted me and told lies about me. Then she asked me what hours I wanted to work the following week, while firing me behind my back. It's actually a lot worse than what I will get into here, but, I got so stressed out, it was horrible.

So true, I learnt long time ago do not trust the system e.g. HRs Simple if the system were working and well established, there wouldn't have been any bullies in the first place, bullies usually a sign of a broken syatem

They are exactly that. I was sexually harrassed and went to my boss who totally was not there for me. Now I'm worried about my job while he is freely working. She's attacking me because she's worried about her job because she didn't do her job. I have every right to tell anybody about what happened to me. It is not my fault she can't do her job right. I'm physically ill from this not being able to eat, throwing up, and cant work comfortably in that environment right now and I have done nothing wrong. I didn't ask the guy to expose himself to me. I didn't ask for any of this. She is a master minupulator and everyone holds her in high regard even though she's probably the worst person I've ever met. I don't understand it and I don't know what to do about it.

I don’t like the term bullying. IMO it’s harassment and stalking. Coworker did it to me for 5 years. It’s worst when the environment is toxic and the ringleader makes it hostile.

A company where I worked at here in Canada did have several co-workers who were bullies. It started off with 1 person then that person would invite other co-worker out for smoke breaks to side with him.

I've been mobbed and gaslighting at work for over 12 years till present. Full of NPD cowards at work and will end up exposing themselves.. I'm a top worker, jealous of me big time and of my money and condo too. Defamation of character. Saying I'm a stalker, I drink, I'm crazy. All bs. Managers are scared of the bullies, they do nothing, union, police are all totally useless too. Toxic workplace in healthcare. Been working 38 years and never been suspended. Action speaks louder than words. But this crap never ends trying to scare the women at work, all the insecure and toxic women. I will never quit due to these lazy bums with no life. These 2 guys should be locked up and have the manager fired.
