This is a great way to customize the look of your JK and clean up the look of the front end. And if you're new to wiring its a simple way to get familiar with it and get started! All in all a pretty easy project we got done in just a couple hours, even with the setbacks.
It depends on what you're powering. The tap itself will match to whatever type of fuses you have in there, and then the size fuse depends on what lights you're using. LED DRLs use almost no power, so I used a 7 amp because its what I had handy. You could get away with a 3 amp for those. The piggyback fuse doesn't have to match the same size as the main fuse; it just has to be keyed power so the DRL's don't stay on all the time.
We drilled a small hole the same diameter as the wire through the upper edge of the fuse box. Then we dabbed a little silicon on the hole and pushed the wire through - presto watertight seal. We've taken the TIPM apart in another video and, having seen the inside of it in great detail now, we can say that area is water resistant at best so we feel like the silicon makes our LED intrusion at least as good as the rest of the box.
