Dodge Dart Swinger 340 Bench to Bucket Seats Conversion
Are you Scotty Kilmer's brother for motorcyle?
Wish I had tried this before I spent $2300 to have something fixed that I didn't think was broken.
Will this work on a 2019 3.2 Cherokee?
I put 30k miles on a cbr300r and still have it in absolutely mint condition
Do you not need to use a relay? Or would it even make a difference either way?
Relays are only needed when the thing being powered uses a lot of power and you don’t want to run heavy gauge wire up to the switch. So you use small, easy to route wires for the switch and then use the relay to kick over for the heavy wire, saving you hassle. Old halogen off-road lights are a good example of where a relay would be needed. The new LEDs, especially these DRLs, use such tiny amounts of power, no relay is needed. The power wire is smaller than you can comfortably work with so you’d gain nothing with by using a relay. All that’s needed is a small amperage fuse in case the wire gets cut, I think on this we used a 3 amp, which is more than enough for the DRLs. Great question!
So it's the same size tire that my Ford maverick is running. 30.5" but all I did was a 1.5" lift kit, no axle moving. It's a nice ridgeline. I like them but, definitely not a good off-road building platform.
Amazing, the things you have to do to remove a battery!! Thank God that you don’t have to remove the windshield also to get to the battery. You know, they should have a running video at the dealership on, How to do simple maintenance on a Mini. Makes you think twice about purchasing a Mini.
Yeah but you cant drive off when all your lights are flashing and your parking will not disengage.
While dealing with my rumbling fan I saw the discussing mess on mine I been thinking how to clean it my door is broken as yours was and I've gotta get it fixed I at least got the broken piece out and I hope I closed the door so inside air is all it gets for the time being but my screen looks very bad . That's for the video it's been a help .
Best of luck my friend! Its a real problem when it happens. At least we have a solution now. Let us know what you end up doing, you can add to the community knowledge.
@MotorsandMischief saw that door in half to get it out.. I may glue the mandrel back on threw the servo motor mount if possible . Im awfully afraid of a air bag going off.
Awesome 😊
Man getting that god damn plastic ring back on was such a nightmare! It has huge threads, but it does NOT want to thread on for the life of me with the pump fully seated with the gasket.
does the devices hold solid while off roading? Good content, thank you
Important question! This one holds more steady than any I have tried by far. It still shakes a little, but its so much less than anything else I've tried. Im super happy with this one.
Interesting that the Subaru boxer engine's oil filter that's mounted upside-down traps an "air pocket", but mounting a filter upside-down on the Baxter adapter doesn't 🤔
Dude thank you for answering my question I’ve been having about how to change into 4x4 high/low
You are officially my hero. Found the loose ground, tied the two terminals together . . . and just saved myself a metric sh!t ton of money. THANK YOU AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Lol that’s awesome! So glad it helped. Merry Christmas to you too!!
Sir... I need the cover shield of the converter torque. I bought a ZJ 1997, and I do not know how it is possible the other owner doesn't knew it wasn't there. Here in Brazil it is not easy to find spare parts, and may be you can tell me where to buy it or at least a picture of it... Regards...! By the way, excellent video!
That cover is mostly a dust cover, I've certainly had my fair share of vehicles that have lost it over the years. The only time its really helpful is if you do a lot of mudding as the cover keeps the mud out of the bell housing so the torque converter isn't spinning around in the mud. To get a replacement, ebay.com has several. I'm not sure how it is in Brazil but I have parts shipped from all over the world to my house in the US via eBay, so you should be good to order it on there. Good luck!
@MotorsandMischief thank you kindly sir! I will search it, here as used part. Kindly regards. My best wishes for 2025. We keep in touch! Gabriel.
This video was right on time!!! Thank you sir! Happy Jeeping!
Great review, Grom for me! 👍
Thanks for the video, very informative and helpful for the replacement of the fuel pump in mine
You’re welcome! Glad it was helpful!
Do you know what the 20A fuse is for that is in a loose fuse holder next to the battery?
There isn't a stand alone 20A fuse in a JK, all the factory fuses are in the TIPM/Fuse assembly. If you have a stand alone fuse, its aftermarket, and is probably powering lights or other accessories. Physically trace the wire to find what it powers; if its like most aftermarket wiring jobs, it won't be hard to follow it. Good luck!
“We have defeated Ford!” Gonna meed to order those actuators for my 2011…
I got a 2017 R3 raven edition as my 1st bike and love it!!! Don’t plan on selling it any time soon
Awesome choice, that Raven edition is a looker!
Thank you for this video. I just replaced mine today and followed all your steps. I wish taking the wiper arm was as easy as you had it on the vid :).
Well what you didn't see was 20 minutes of swearing and yanking off camera and then I stuck it back on for the video :) Glad it was helpful!
Nice shocks too. God bless America
We just bought a used 2017 Touring with a hitch installed (I think Honda OEM). I believe the kick sensor is included in this trim, and I see an 18" or so sensor under the bumper trim like your video. Only thing is - no foot activation despite any of my hijinks so far. It's activated according to the touch screen. Any ideas? Do you know what they're talking about with the relocation kit, since yours worked just fine?
If only I could get my headliner to pop back in like urs 35:08
It can be a pain for sure. How did it work out, were you able to get it back in?
I love this remedy. Does installing this product on your Jeep Gladiator VOID the factory warranty?
We get this question a lot. It does not void the warranty, per se. US regulations state that manufacturers cannot deny warranty coverage due to aftermarket parts unless they can prove the part caused the failure. So if this fails and dumps all the oil out of the engine, then yes, warranty would not cover the repair. But if your engine fails on its own during the warranty period, simply having this on the Jeep won't void the warranty. That said, depending on your dealer, you might have to fight with them even if the Baxter unit didn't cause the problem. Our local dealer loves aftermarket stuff and they are really good about getting warranty claims covered no matter what you've done to it. But not all dealers are like that. If you're worried about it, our advice is wait until the engine is out of warranty to install the Baxter unit. Enjoy your Gladiator!
This is causing a lot of battery draining in them from what I’m finding out
You are the man, I feel so relieved.
Glad to hear it! Its a weird/concerning feature lol
Excellent video! Your attention to detail is the best I've seen! (And I've seen a bunch) I was convinced the steering column would have to come out. Thank you.
I appreciate the kind words, thanks for watching!
Any issues with the driveshaft angle?
We had some vibration issues on the front right after we did the lift but it wasn’t caused by the lift per se, it just revealed a bad ujoint. We had it rebuilt but didn’t change the angle and that solved the problem. 3.5 is enough that the axles move in, so if you really want to do it right, plan to have both driveshafts rebuilt and extended. Then you can push the axles out front and back, it looks better, it rides better, and the tires stay away from the body on full compression. But it’s not necessary if you’re trying to keep it cheap. Last thing I’ll mention, Iron Rock gives pinion angle settings that are *completely* different from stock. Follow their settings! They know what they’re talking about and this Jeep is very susceptible to wild steering if the angle is wrong.
Should try a chin mount camera angle
Totally. Couldn’t bring myself to stick a GoPro mount on my $1200 helmet lol. But I need to get over it and do exactly that.
to all, I don't know if its easier or harder....but I was able to un bolt the manifold and bracket with ease left exhaust in its place. as far as when engine goes back in hope it goes just as easy....thanks for video. 1 guy below zero temperature was not hard not easy or fast but engine out👍
Good job! And yeah for some reason that exhaust was an absolute pistol to get back on. Like trying to put in a plug you can’t see and it just won’t go no matter how hard you try. So it’s probably 6 of one, half a dozen of the other, but for anyone wanting to try it this way I say go for it. Thanks for the comment!
definitely take manifold off, leave exhaust alone. went very smooth that way.
Thanks
Bruh...I started on a 1,000. And nearly f*ckin died like 6 times before I sold it for a 70% loss.
I spit out my coffee while I was reading this, thank you for the laugh. And glad you're still with us!
That’s my 919!! Can’t believe I bumped into this video. Glad to see she’s doing well.
Hey that's awesome!! Yeah, she's doing fantastic. Currently waiting in line in the garage to get a valve check and spark plugs but its one of my favorite bikes. Thanks for commenting!
Thanks worked on 3rd try and saved me $70 plus
You are probably low on Squirrel Piss?
The lights are driving me crazy. 1st time disconnected battery to install dash cam ruining wires in Pilar’s so disconnected battery for safety due to air bags… drove the car after and they went off… 2nd time disconnected the battery to install head rest monitors… in head rest. They did not go off after connecting the battery and driving it… took to dealer. They said that the car was not letting the machine connect for a reset. Funny thing is that I connected a obd2 scanner prior and ran a test and it connected and showered all lights on dash as codes…. They want 2000 to do an electrical diagnostic and blaming my headrest monitors and dash cam as the fault when I told them exactly what happened… no thanks.. ain’t paying 2k. Am I missing something. They tested the battery they said it was good…
Excelente, gracias por el Video
It keeps happening… ( not the dead battery but the every idiot light like the entire system !!! We figured we can not idle at all especially if we have a cell phone connected to the front usb connectors.
Nicely done!! When the part broke on mine and fell down into the squirrel cage/fan, it seemed to have shorted out the resistor as well. I had to replace the resistor because it would only run full blast from that point forward. Just replaced the resistor last week and working fine now. Just be sure to disconnect the battery while you replace the resistor and it resets the system. Went through 2 resistors before we figured that out. Thank you Lord! The third time worked. Now my variable speed control on the fan is back. :)
This video helped me as well as the next one I will post too…

That kit is 95.00 from the link from sunroof doctor. Can get same kit as low as 23.00 why the markup the kits look the same
you can start up in clear flood mode and not waste your money.
Im now relieved. Thank God. Thanks for your video though. Our crv had been sitting in the garage for 5months as we went overseas
You are welcome! Its a very strange feature for sure.
Hey. I see a lot of people complaining that the linings are already tearing and getting roughed up after a few months of use. Are you experiencing this at all?
I am not. We had a crazy 55 degree day today here in Colorado, so I literally just had it on. I've had zero issues with the linings tearing at all. And mine did come in and out for my Cardo plus I've pulled them a few times for washing. Idk if I'm just lucky or the other guys are being rough on theirs but mine still looks brand new. And I use it a LOT.
My head unit comes on and off constantly. Also, the dash lights up as if I just put the key in the on position, when I’m already driving. Wipers also engage twice every time the dash lights up. I think it must be the same type of issue you’re describing in your video. Drivin me crazy lol
It can be super frustrating. Sounds like yours is losing ground and then getting it back and resetting. If you work your way through the steps in the video, you should be able to track it down. Good luck!
About how long does it usually buzz for?
lights look great, I just did that... seems like they stick out wider than the stock ones, did you notice that too?
We're on our second set of these as the bulb fell out of the first one and melted the housing. So I can't say if the ones in the video had that issue. The current ones do not, nice and flush.
I manage to drain my battery overnight with the dash cam...
