No, man. That is not a flat bank. That is a landing pad so both goofy and regular skaters can get air above the coping on the ramps either side and land without fear of hooking up on the coping. It's a really good tool for learing airs and ollies.
You made the most of it. I would struggle with this park for sure. You got your shuvits and halfcabs. You half cabs always seem consistent. Have you tried half cab tail stall or slide. I feel you would get it quickly. Keep traveling and sharing. Stay Rad
The half cab tail is not a bad idea, I think I need to do more half cab boardslides first and get them more on lock first. Its a trick I learned and rarely do. I think the tail is one for the future though.
I definitely know for sure that if I went to that park myself the ramps would look so much bigger than it would on camera. Definitely more of a BMX park like you said. For people who do that the ramps might be small to them. But hey at least you showed up. 👊
Yeah that is always the case, you see something in a video and your like yeah I can do that, then you turn up to the place and are like damn that's big. Even though there was parts of the park I couldn't touch it was still fun though skating the bits I could.
Cheers. Both the fakie shuv and reg shuv were a struggle, I'm glad I managed to get them in line. At one point I was thinking of just leave the line and filming them as 2 separate tricks. Glad I stuck with it though it turned out in the end.
@@amskateboards ah fakie shuv… I’m the worst at naming tricks and don’t get me started on the Bs and Fs thing as I generally name them the wrong way round. Glad you stuck with it as the line looked great 🤘🏻
I been to parks with a worse layout than this and one of them is park everyone thinks is great. Don't know if you have been to Projects in Manchester but the layout there is the worse I have seen in any park. It is just a bunch of random objects thrown together but for some reason people think that place is good. If you compare this park to Projects the layout is good.
Been there and hated it. It's a scooter park. Not much fun for a skateboarder. All of the obstacles are 25% oversized, and way to squashed in. Many of the ramps have no coping. Not for me thanks. Clearly designed by either a scooter rider, or by someone that doesn't skate.
Yes I agree its defo designed with scooter or BMX in mind. That said though I did have a fun session once I got going but I won't be in a rush to head bk though either.
@@benhaze444 I really don't think its all that bad. The park closest to me is worse than this and I have been to many others that are even worse. Its just not a park I would travel to go back to. If it was more local then I wouldn't mind going bk at all.

I have never heard of a landing pad before, thanks for the info.
Another interesting park. Not much for me there with these old bones. But a day on the skateboard can’t be a bad day. 👍
Yeah same here, not a lot to skate really but was still fun to give it a try.

Definitely a tricky park, you put some good lines together though mate.
Yeah I tried to make the most of what was there. I think it would be more suited to BMX's or scooters though.
Shuvits looked good mate, seems you made a good go of that park
The shuv its were a real struggle this day. It took me ages to get that line with the fakie shuv then reg shuv.

Hey man, love the videos, have you conciderd filming one for euxton skatepark?
Yeah I have Euxton skatepark on my list of parks to go to at some point. It will probably be in the next season though.
@@amskateboards brilliant, can't wait to see the video, such a good channel keep up the good work
Nice nose Shuv then pop shuv out the bank on the return

The lay out is absolutely shite

As a local skater at this park it’s brilliant. J have to get used to it.
