Golden period with their reunion of the Original 5 (with Andy) - during the Astronaut tour - the live shows paid homage to their deeper tracks from their first two albums !
That is true I agree. These shows were also a re-introduction of the band in some way, they haven't played together in public for many years. They sounded raw and organic in my opinion, so good, the closest they've ever sounded since their inception. Wish they would remaster and release these shows properly on Blu-ray in atmos dolby :)
He sure is. He gave Duran the edge they needed to conquer the world. Ever since he left, something's missing in the music. Duran nowadays are like a good healthy salad, but without that special dressing ;)
Totally awesome amazing epic I've got this on dvd now I've saved it on my UA-cam account 🎉🎉🎉many thanks for sharing Duran Duran best band on planet earth 🌎🌍🌎🎉🎉🎉
I went to a concert the other day wearing the T-shirt I bought at the Tokyo Budokan in 2003. I was happy to be able to watch it in both America🇺🇸 and Japan🇯🇵.I can't believe there's a video of me being there at the time. Thank you for posting this video.🥹
Shame they no longer consider Japan, Asia, Australia etc as important places to visit anymore! They can’t seem to get away from the US these days. Very sad.
Would have been nice if they could have gotten the song credits correct. Several of the songs credited to Taylor/Taylor/Taylor/Rhodes/LeBon were written when both Roger and Andy were out of the band.
Prostate cancer can be a very slow process. My dad had it incapsulated in the organ for about 20yrs b4 syntoms came out. He was lucky as its core was extracted b4 it could diffuse in his body.
I think Warren was a way better guitarist. They should have brought him back when Andy left. I actually liked the 3 member Duran Duran more lol. I miss those days. Sorry.
Whilst Andy Taylor's playing is fine, for me I simply prefer Warren Cuccurullo's contributions as I felt he was more creative and unusual. He'd been in Frank Zappa's band - as was Adrian Belew before joining Bowie - and you didn't get _that_ gig without being special.
The presence of Andy T. makes such a big difference. This is the real DD, not the stuff we see nowadays. Andy T. was never really replaced.
Totally!!!❤
It was his option.
DD still is DD. He wanted to leave and DD still going strong and better than 2003!
DD is not able to replicate such energy anymore.
@@chachardbionicThey’re all in their sixties and Simon not far from 70yrs old. They deserve a rest, they’ve been entertaining us more than 40yrs!
immense Andy Taylor....
JT is the most underrated genius bassman.
Underrated?!?!?!
And THEE SEXIEST thing on two legs!!!!

Andy Taylor is the Best

Agreed!
I love this classic line up forever!
このメンバー1番好きです。
Andy brings the show alive.
They don't sound anywhere near this good today.
Especially the snare drum...
I am very glad to watch such great band
All hail Andy Taylor! This band are nothing without him.

Seeing and hearing Andy play back in Duran Duran makes them complete! Love the original lineup more than anything!
Just bloody amazing...😍
このライブ、観に行った!もう、20年経つんだね…。号泣して隣の人にドン引きされたなぁ
the voice is still there
His vocals are way better now, than back in their hey days...he sounds more trained.
Well this is 21 years ago but he does still have a voice.

Best ever live version of Rio ever!
From the beginning in 1981 for me,I loved the band ,I loved the atmosphere and I just love d their talents...
I saw them shortly after this at the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa California. What a show!!!

Yen dropped so much it's probably not cost effective. Theyd have to charge more than people could pay.
Excelente 😀
It’s fine the guys are still the best.
る人達って 昔からスゴいんだネ👍どハマりしてる📣
Echt cool. !!!

There are lots of couples that don't have the chemistry that Simon and John have,...

John said that was sick, I was wondering. Did he have cancer back then?🤷♀️

@@ontherun8 I'm really glad that your father is okay. Cancer is evil.
He was an addict. Got sober end of 1994

Fake flag
Warren sucks😂
