    First time posting to this channel
    I grew up on big stone gap
    Left the area in 1981 to move to California..best thing I ever did..loved bsg for sure.. PV high School yay.. class of 1978.. bsg is Awesome..thx so much

    I was born and raised in BSG,Va loved my childhood and still after living away for almost 30 yrs those mtns are still in my heart and mind..

      Born in Appalachia,lived there until I had to leave for employment. Love both towns, especially country boy drive_ in.

    Wow my grandparents lived there in the Hollow .All my Uncles and grandfather died of Black Lung from the Coal Mines .Good Country People but I sure was glad my dad decided to get out of it .My Parents are and grandparents all buried at Glencoe Cemetery .I do enjoy the beauty when I visit though

    My profile picture is a Norfolk southern train coming out of natural tunnel and my grand parents lived in the valley of Big Stone Gap Virginia. I will always remember those mountains.

    My father and his relatives are scattered all over Powell Valley (Appalachia, Big Stone Gap & East Stone Gap). it is always good to come and visit the valley once in a while. My grandparents are buried in the valley, too.

    I watched this because I'm looking to buy a house there. I've never been there before, but my friend moved there & she loves it she bought a house there already. It's odd my dad's name was Harry Mead one of the spelling's is meador, meaden, Meade so in a strange way I'm drawn to the beauty of it.
