I made this sweater and thrilled how it turned out. It is my best accomplishment yet..excellent instructions..I am going to make one for my daughter's Birthday in September. Thank you for all your Videos. I love them...
Hello Carrie , I’ve just finished my second collared cardigan. The second one I went down a size in hooks to be more fitted . I love both my cardies 🥰😍🥰. I’ve had lots of positive comments on them. I’m new to crocheting garments always believing I could only crochet blankets! Your tutorials are so easy and clear . Thankyou from my heart for giving me the confidence to jump in and crochet garments. I look forward to hopefully seeing more patterns with collars they are few and far between . Thankyou again so much ❤️
I've had this on my list for a while. Finally got to it and finishing it up for my daughter for Fall. I used a bulky wool so it will be nice and warm for her. Easy and fun pattern.
I'm amazed at how many projects you have produced on youtube! Really appreciated your excellent visuals and explanation. I know I learn better from making up the pattern after seeing how its done. It can be hard to keep track of instructions with many written patterns. Having a pattern without a lot of increasing and decreasing for shaping is so much easier to crochet up quickly and to fit the wearer! I'm trying out large sample blocks of crochet patterns using sc/hdc in the same stitch, skip a stitch; sc/hd alternating in each stitch; and sc/dc as you've done it; and sc/dc alternating in each stitch so that the following row is doing sc in previous dc, dc in previous sc. I like that final pattern best for texture and thickness--the rows and spaces are less noticeable.
In Canada I'm using Bernat Super Value (a Canadian Brand I love for its softness and easy care) of 100% Acrylic in a Medium 4 ply which recommends a 5mm hook. I will trial different size hooks to see whether I prefer a looser or tighter stitch. I would crochet this sweater to the measurements of width and length rather than stitch count. For me one of the most difficult things is figuring out how much yarn to purchase for each size. The buttons you chose for the ecru colour do compliment this cardigan very well. I have my eye on some unusual, extra large buttons to go with my bright Peacock Blue yarn. Thanks for demonstrating such a lovely straight-forward design. Too often I tackle complex designs that end up unfinished...
Beautiful cardi, thanks so much for sharing and such clear details! If I start this month, I hope to finish by the fall to send to my adult daughter for winter 2021!!
Carrie, as with all of your work, this too is a lovely pattern that is, due to your instructions, doable. Thanks for your excellent step-by-step instructions and YT channel, which are professionally done.
Thank you so mcuh for this tutorial, i couldn't find any of the pink from b&m but i managed to get the gray and it has worked up an absolute treat!! it's so soft and cuddly i love it.
Wow gorgeous I'm on my second sweater from watching your videos so this one will be my third project just loves your work so much and I'm also new to this channel so please keep posting your talented work
So beautiful 💖❤️😍👍👌 wow... Nice colour wool..so easy crochet pattern . always beautiful design you showing us.thnx so much. God bless you and your family ❤️
Nice cardigan. Love the stitches. The dropped sleeve seam bothers me a little so I’ll see if I can change that when I make this sweater. Love the collar.
Love this cardigan and was planning to make it with some yarn I bought a while ago and is now discontinued. I’m 80 m short 😢 Would it work if I used a 7mm hook for a tighter stitch?
Hi Carrie I love your designs but I hate the dropped shoulder/sleeves can you please do a pattern for a chunky cardigan/jacket with a raglan shoulder/sleeves, I would really appreciate it as I’m sure a lot of your followers will thank you 😊 recently subscribed to your channel all the best Carol from Scotland x
carol29carnegle Can't you reduce the width beginning from the depth of the armhole by about 3" each side? This wouldn't be raglan, but at least you could prevent it from being a dropped shoulder.
Hi, Carrie. I'm a new subscriber. Your latest cardigan was a recommended video on my feed & I fell in love with it. I then went looking for a chunky pattern & found this video. Would Premier Puzzle yarn be a good substitute for this yarn? I don't know if I could get this yarn here in Canada. Lots of love and yarny hugs 💓
I will give it a try. Thank you for the tutorials. I'm watching this video from the Republic of South Africa 🇿🇦
I just watched the tutorial. Thank you for being simplistic in your teaching and that your camera has a good and clear view while you show us. ❤️💜👵🏻

Can you remember how much yarn you saved on the cardigan made with a smaller hook? I’m approx one ball short of what the pattern states
TIA

Fabulous tutorial, thank you 😊 😍
Nice cardigan. Love the stitches. The dropped sleeve seam bothers me a little so I’ll see if I can change that when I make this sweater. Love the collar.
What I usually do is create the sleeve by crocheting on the garment until it's as long as my arm. Hope that helps someone.
@@luwandaartrelle4250 Would you also reduce the width of the garment from the armhole/shoulder blade level?
It’s simply fantastic! Thank you so much for this!😍

Regarding the sleeves, I didn't catch the measurements. Is the sleeve a rectangle or should it be extended towards the arm?

I am curious as to why you can't join the pieces together by crochet like you would in a blanket?
