In Japan We don’t call it the “fastest train” we call it「弾丸列車」「新幹線」(bullet train) or even (Shinkansen).

Erm, you do realise that Thomas wasn’t built for high speed runs or carrying more than about 100 passengers, right? He’s a Billington E2 tank engine - they were built for shunting and light freight duties around Southampton Docks in the UK. This required engines that ran at a slow pace hauling small loads across shorter distances. Therefore, it stands to reason that Thomas just simply isn’t designed for some of the challenges you put him in here, so calling him slow is kinda unfair. Besides, there are plenty of other, slower locomotives…
