I just got the filter and adapter cap kit to use any existing bottle in the same way. Excited to try it out!
Wonder if they have one for saltwater filter.
Have one of these, but have not used it yet. Brought it with me on day hikes but always had enough in my refilled bladder. But I like how tough it feels.

If you’re filtering it in a survival/outdoor scenario. It must be backwashed or it won’t last even a few days!

How does this compare to a Brita bottle? I got one of those today and I was blown away by how good it made my tap water taste. My tap water had a slight dirty taste before using it.
I have both but love brita more. This is getting returned bc it’s just confusing small and dirt Magnet
I followed the instructions but once I tried to doing from the filled bottle trough the straw, no water comes through. Have I missed a step?
LiffyGo, is a 4 stage filtering system with 2 x 0.01micron filters and no air in through the sides and has a locking cap to protect the mouthpiece so no air bourn germs get on it, heaps cheaper and the filter straw is issued to Asian special forces.

3:52- incorrect! It goes down to 0.2, not 0.02 microns. There is a huge difference.
Sawyer mini is smaller, cheaper, and filters down to 0.1 microns absolute. Also lasts for 100,000 gallons. Lifestraw isn't bad, just overpriced and overrated.

good review although i felt like you missed a moment... actually the one moment I think we were waiting for... to describe to us if the water had any sort of taste. You just said something about "lake water, got to love it". Did you say that because it tasted like lake water in a bad way? I've never used a life straw so curious if it filters out things so much that it's just tasteless? thanks!

No. You have to suck the water through the filter. It's the only way the system works.

No not really because it does not squeeze. I guess you could spit it into a container but that would take forever LOL.
You can open the bottle and pour it, might spill some but yeah you could do it

how we know the charcoal filter its been used off? coz we wont hard work on counting how many litres that we drank.
It becomes very difficult to suck water through the straw, atleast that is what the manual says

What if you need water for cooking?
Filter nasty water trough a sock and then cook out the bacteria.
It might be good to filter water, but im sure it wasnt made to filter the water from lakes and such ... probably mountain river water at most, but not lakes ... But it must be great for house use.

compared to sawyer micro squeeze?
I like the Sawyer squeeze as a backup style filter in that you have to have collapsible bottle to use it. I just prefer the hard water bottle option that the lifestraw go gives me.

So I have the same bottle and it’s super super hard to drink out of. I have to suck on it with the force of a vacuum cleaner. Is something wrong with it?
Mine was easy at first but after two back country days it did get really hard to suck.
